    I don’t know if they still do this, but for the last three years I’ve paid for the whole year in January. 15 gigs a month for the year for around $250. The whole family for the whole year for under $900. We were paying more than twice that before. And like Travis said, the service is great.

    Just renewed for my third year with them, pay for the whole year on the lowest plan. So it's 201.95 for the whole year. There are people out there that pay that amount a month. I don't use my phone that much, sometimes I forget to take it when I leave the house, so the lowest plan is fine. Now the only issue I had was in Oct of this year. Went to visit parents in Wisconsin (live in Georgia) and kept losing signal. I wrote it off as I have an older 4G phone (no 5G) and that was the issue. As soon as I was on the interstate driving home, it was fine again.

    - My question is heavily to do on pricing mainly, and my confusion is with the "Unlimited" plan the upfront cost is around $90 (Plus 3 months Free) i just don't understand after the 3 months are up what price do i pay? is it $360 or is it $40 I don't want to have to pay for a ridiculous price

    You didn’t mention the 60GB Unnecessary plan, a step above the Unlimited one. It comes with 20GB of hotspot. 3 months is $150 plus tax/fees, then 3 months free. A great deal, especially if u use a VPN for unthrottled streaming. Expect unlimited high speed internet when they’re purchased by TMO, not to mention the ability to display 5G UC on iPhones when they’re allowed off of the current MVNO carrier profile. In other words, expect them to be like MNOs Metro, Cricket and Visible at that time.

  • @Farrell0208

    @Farrell0208

    So not sure if you’re aware but the key here is to understand which major carrier ( Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile) the MVNO is piggybacking off of. Mint Mobile uses ONLY AT&T service as far as I’m aware. So if AT&T is known for spotty coverage in your area you need to also stay away from any MVNO that uses their service. The biggest difference between coverage with most carriers and their subsequent MVNO partners is companies like Mint strictly ONLY use AT&T towers, whereas AT&T will “roam” and use another carriers service, but your phone will never tell you this. It will say your on their “extended network” or something similar. You don’t get that with most MVNOs, ( there are a few that use multiple carriers, such as Google Fi, and Straight Talk) but you have to ask yourself is it worth paying nearly double or triple the amount for cell service, per month. Best thing to do is research who TRULY has the best coverage in your area and go with someone who uses their service. Just wanted to lend a hand if needed because I think if you can find the coverage, it’s worth the money you save.

    I switched from ATT 2 months ago, exactly like he said. Download the app, you'll have to 'unlock your phone' which is easy, just google it(ATT unlock iphone). Setup a Mint account and follow the steps. I brought my ATT Iphone and my # from ATT, all in the time I took a walk(literally, I started taking a walk outside.... 15 minutes later when I got home, I switched carriers in my iphone settings and was using Mint. I had ATT so long that it was basically prepaid, 18+ years, so when I asked them to unlock my number AND my phone, they just canceled my plan for me. LOL, not even lying). Switch, it will be the easiest money saved, ever.

    You should be able to call T-Mobile and tell them you want to move your number to Mint. They should be able to give you a PIN that you will use to transfer your current phone number to Mint during the activation of your Mint SIM. If you use your phone enough and consume enough media over 5G, just stick with T-Mobile.

    I've had Mint for a few years now and like it. But I am concerned about what will happen since they were bought by T-Mobile, because prices could go up.
