This man let me go to the powerlifting ( And he accepted my conviction and that I am right after thirty-three years of practicing physical strength ( powerlifting)and bodybuilding ) in national is more valued than cheating by substance peds I respect him and this man is my idol
The guy's a freak of nature! One hell of a lifter and he could even dunk at the same time, while being that size. Sexual Chocolate is a legend!
mark henry says so much inspirational shit here. "you're competing with ghosts" and i have never felt anything so deeply in my whole life

Imagine being in the middle of training for the Olympics and hearing that from Terry Todd himself. Holy shit
I'll always remember that steel cage match where he was supposed to break a gimmick chain but ended up having to break a real one cause they obviously forgot to place the gimmick one. Crazy strength
Mark Henry is one of my favorite strength athletes. And hearing him talk about it, is even more amazing. Thanks for interviewing him!
Man, I love Mark Henry, As a practicing strength athlete he is one of the guys I look up to
Interesting interview. Finally Mark Henry gets his respect in the strength world. Greets from Amsterdam/Holland
Thanks for this interview, Zach!!! More of these please, your athletic journalistic endeavors are top notch imo. 🔥
Awesome interview. I've always like Mark but never heard an in depth interview like this. His passion really won me over, awesome person and lifter.
Mark henry still has records that haven't been broken even for non nattys. He's arguably the strongest man ever recorded.

One of the best interviews wtf !! So deep, so much to give ! Wow Could listen to this training for sure
This is one of my favorite interviews on KZread. Well done Zack - not only was the overall content amazing stuff, but you did great as an interviewer as well. This was the second video involving Mark that I've ever seen and I'm finding out in this one that Mark has so much to offer us as viewers, and I'm genuinely excited about and looking forward to watching the movie!
Commenting for the algorithm, gunna pop on the patreon after my strength block n grab a weightlifting programme gotta support tha boy ZT
Come on Zak. We all know Liver King is the strongest natty.
There’s a reason Mark Henry is a house of a human being lol. You have to get that big to move the amount of weight he was moving without gear. I was 340lbs in high school and was lifting(in my first year of training) 385 on bench, 625 on squats, and 745 deadlift. Weight moves weight and i was strong as hell but the extra weight i had to carry in order to do those things was just way too much to handle. I had very high blood pressure and other very bad health markers and my doctor finally told me that this shit is going to kill me if i keep gaining weight. I’m down to 240lbs now and i can lift a fraction of what i used too lol. Its insane how much you weigh can determine your strength levels. It’s a bigger deal than alot of people realise.

Unfortunately your high school body weight to lift numbers were not that favorable, and as you described, your health was compromised at the time. Good for you on making the changes to get your health back in line !

Ignore shawn. A 1750 in high school is amazing - I wouldn’t give two shits if you weighed 600 pounds to make that total. It’s impressive regardless of your weight.

Visualization allows the individuals to familiarize their bodies - physically and emotionally within the mind. I consider this as a prep, since this process puts you in a comparison mode: I just visualized the perfect lift, now I have to follow it up right here in the physical reality. The idea is that you should be able to do it, since you do it in your mind and you know the feeling.
Need better microphones next Zack, this audio has a lot of noise and a hollow quality but otherwise thanks for this, it is amazing to me as Mark Henry is one of the GOATs in strength sports
Mark Henry is THAT GUY
He's probably the most tested athelete out there. Never pissed hot for anything.
Hey, I know dennis snethen! He is a cool guy, and what he has done for youth weightlifters he works with is awesome.
You are awesome
49:12 I bought my first weightlifting shoes from Manfred Nerlinger. Great Guy!
I dont compete, yet i do; a competition between myself and the bar. the ability [it feels like an ability, not just a privilege] to go train and have our health ok enough for it is like unto religion; its always with us when we need it.
He said that he won both state and national powerlifting championships in order to qualify for Arnold strongman classic in 2002 by squatting 965 lbs, bench pressing 585 lbs and deadlifting 903 lbs. That part seemed to be suspicious for me because if it were true it would have been recorded in record books. His best ever squat in competition is 953.5 lbs raw with knee wraps and best ever deadlift is 903.9 lbs in competition both done in 1995 . So i don't get about him deadlifting again 903 lbs in 2002 and squatting 965 lbs in 2002 which in case of it being true would have been his best competition lifts. His best ever bench press is 518.1 lbs in competition done also in 1995 . His 585 lbs figure is said to be his unofficial best ie., in the gym. I have never heard about any reports of him competing in state and national powerlifting championships in 2002 to qualify for arnold classic.
I guess test is a natural compound
I respect the title, but I think Mike O Hearn takes the title of strongest natty

hall of pain!!!
For the algo
Mark was contemplating murder at the end when he said he didn’t want it to be trivialized
Mark henry are natural like all strong man natural 😂
as a skateboarder alot of this is dead on for us too. put your body on the line and block out the fear
I really wish steroids were never invented because we really could see more legends like Mark and less walking lab experiments that end up dying young or retire early because their body fails
I actually can believe he is a peak natural. I am 50/50 on it tho. He was 188kg and had a lot of chub. According to science there would be about a 10%-15% difference between natty and not natty. While he held world record I feel because of his bodyweight I can believe he is a natty.

Mark actually had a ton of muscle mass. Substantially more than fat. In 1990 when he just started Olympic Weightlifting alongside Dr. Terry Todd, he was 6'3'' 370lbs at Age 19. After dropping the 352-pounds Bar onto his feet on the Clean Training with Coach Lynn Jones, he was taken to the Hospital in a hurry, and when the Doctors studied him, they were awe-struck at how dense Mark's muscles and bones were, so much the Bar only leaved a bruise. And the studies also revelaed he had a Body Fat Percentage of 22%, so even taking all the fat out of his body, he would still had 289lbs of pure muscle, more Weight on Muscle Mass than Bodybuilders like Markus Rühl, Dorian Yates, Kevin Levrone, Paul Dillet, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Orville Burke weighted in their complete being at Stage. And by the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, Mark was up to 412.5lbs at Age 21, and his Body Fat Percentage was of 18.9% at the moment, so over +330lbs of pure Muscle Mass, he gained about 45lbs of pure muscle mass in about two years. Not saying he's not Natty, I think the ~15% is still achievable without being Enhanced, just saying Mark always was much more full of muscle than he was of fat. You can see it seeing his calves and his arms.
The small amount of views shows how much this audience cares for natty lifting 😂 great interview though.

This guy is not natty. Sadly. I doubt Zack even thinks so. That's why he named the video that.
7th grader casually lifts more than any man 😂😂😂
Mark Henry, natty?
how did i only now realise you had sexual chocolate on your podcast ? 🤯
Just being able to casually state, “I snatched 4 plates.” 🤮🤟🤮
If you're still believing that anyone that lifts that much weight is natural you are incredibly naive. Did we learn nothing from the Liver King?
1000 lbs squat and 900 lbs deadlift raw? I doubt that
@LilTreat
Жыл бұрын
Squat and deadlift over 900lbs in the same competition, first person to ever do it. Best competition squat was over 950lbs so the 1000lbs was probably training lift.
@benedict5544
Жыл бұрын
@@LilTreat the 900 pound deadlift was raw, however, the 900 pound squat was done in a single ply squat suit. His heaviest competition squat was 953.5 pounds or 432.5kg, done with knee wraps, which can add up to 50kg on the squat, so even though he probably squatted 1000 pounds in training, he definitely did not do it without supportive equipment
@nischal711
