I think Magellanica misses timing if you activate it with Stealth. The deck-stack effect is a When effect, but the last thing in the chain is Stealth resolving. Or something like that.

I have a Umi deck and was just wondering what kinds of tech cards I could sprinkle in to help it out? I use lemuria the forgotten city as my Umi field spell and I use Water Xyz monsters and I recently put in evenly matched.

You can get your hand clogged sometimes if you don't see enough of one engine or the other, but between 3 Emergence and 3 Sonars, you're never far from full combo. You can cross up your plays between archetypes pretty well, like using jellyfish to summon mo ye or phantasm spiral, or using a special summoned wyrm to tribute summon Kairyu-shin if you can't go ham with synchros, or using sea Stealth to proc Chengying, or using phantasm spiral dragon/token and a ss token to make Final Sigma or something.

idk if it's a bug or a weird ruling, but when you use Metaverse, the trap that lets you active a field spell from your deck, the field spell also doesn't get its effect.

Not a bug. It's a ruling that was relevant when Metaverse first came out. Last I recall, it's because you're essentially skipping over the correct timing for any effects tied to an activation as you're in the middle of resolving Metaverse.

Deck has 8-9 copies of mo ye and 3 of the field spell that you have to hard draw. So I'd guess about 1/3 games you'll draw both. Otherwise it plays like a normal swordsoul deck.

Stealth kragen made baronne water. So it can be banished by sea stealth attack once per turn. Every time it's banished it resets baronnes negate. So you can negate with baronne once every turn instead of just once.

It opens so many doors! The possibilities are as boundless as the ocean! There's a lot of interesting level 8-12 synchros this deck can make: Final Sigma, Psychic End Punisher, White Aura Whale, Shenshen, Barronne, Dragite, Draco Berserker, Tzolkin, Borrelload S., Gymir Aegirine (as of PHHY), just to name a few.

if your in a pinch u can magellanica get a level 10 synchro with lapis dragon and either kairyu shin , jelly etc.

downside is lapis dragon can make u brick, plus is that it special summons itself when drawn which is perfect

Also maxx c is fair and balance, i use it as an ash bait, they usually dont have another ash in hand for next turn. And i dont play decks that special summon so much, im fact i hated them. Wasted much time to get a full negate board, Nowdays not so much to be seen. Beside pile ishizu. So maxx c still good to be deterrent. Opponent max c rarely goes resolve too, when it does, i playe winged dragon of ra next duel. Just to make their maxx c useless.
