Ganyu and Lyney’s charged shot duration is the same as Lyney’s, which is 2 seconds. Gatcha Gamer showed a video comparisson of both bow users side by side

​@@risang5850nah I remember it's almost the same- the thing that balances him is that the fast recharge is limited to three under his e skill, every 10 seconds which forces him to be in quickswap teams.

lyney has got to be one of the best beginner characters you can literally get everything for his best team just by playing the game (ESPECIALLY this patch with the free bennett from the event)

@@misipapa3626 fontaine is only locked behind mondstadt's archon quest, so as long as you've finished it you can just go straight to fontaine and get his materials, which are also very accessible. fatui is everywhere in teyvat so getting the insignia is very easy as well. and as the other person said, his teammates are accessible and both beginner & F2P friendly.

amber's good with him too! maybe im pushing it since im an amber main and i shove her everywhere, but her short field time (bunny + burst takes like 4 seconds) just matches everyone's downtime nicely, it feels like shes actually supposed to be there instead of the usual comps i just shove amber because shes my girl lmao

@@jp-dx6829I do, and I have her at 90, 9/12/12 talents. Frankly, she’s okay as a support with 4p Noblesse and Elegy, but she’s not really ever the best choice for a team. I do enjoy pulling her out in co-op, though, just to see people’s reactions.

6:47 It's worth mentioning that, if you decide to use Zhongli with Lyney, then Archaic Petra is incredibly good on him. With 2-3 Pyro characters in the team, you can reliably grab the Pyro shards and get the 35% DMG Bonus for all your Pyro party members. This + Zhongli's fat shield and Res shred makes him my favorite supporting option by a landslide.

PErsonally i prefer the classic xiangling & bennet duo and Kazuha. But that idea sounds really good too.

Dehya's resistance to interruption is an "infinite armor", it's just that it runs out earlier than her skill duration, that's why sometimes you get slapped on.

No, dehya interruption isn't that great. It only works with light-medium attacks.

idk but Lyney just feels too powerful for me. I probably only say that because I don't own characters like Raiden, Hu Tao, Ayaka or Ganyu. He's my 1st unit who can stand on his own and do massive damage without support. Currently running him with Kazuha, Xiangling and Bennett and seeing those random 100k s pop up from nowhere just feels very satisfying

Mono pyro is stronger than Hu Tao but Hu Tao wins in reaction. He's just a really flexible unit and isn't restricted to JUST mono pyro if you don't want to. You'd do less damage but his self Buffs make up for it anyways as well as his bow if you have it. He's just an insanely comfy character that's more versatile compared to someone like Hu Tao who NEEDS Yeland AND xingqiu in a team to function

I did his trial and wtf he did 20-30k per charged without benny. Also unique gameplay I'm so here for it!

Thanks for the take, especially on the bow comparisons for the three. I also enjoy the CA bow characters because manually attacking is more engaging for me than auto

I like that they're all doing different things and not they're not afraid to make more given how many people hate Ganyu's playstyle so much.

I’m probably gonna pull for him, I love his design, I kinda like his personality, and he solves the one issue I have with melt ganyu which is that I want to press my other buttons

tankfei is quite a reliable option too, and she can hold thrilling tales - in case you want to bring Kazuha or other anemo char for vv shred, but don't want to lose the 3 pyro buff. The only downside is that you need her c4. Thoma is kinda eh bc you need to do normal attack to refresh his shield.

Which is fine honestly to NA if need be. If you have him C6 he also boosts damage and not everyone will always beable to reliably charge attack no matter what team they use. Tankfei is good if you have C4 and high enough HP but thomas burst, layla and zhongli have the strongest shields

You can use Baizhu as your healer/ interruption to resistance giver so your other two pyro units can be more flexible especially when your bennet wants to vacation on another team. You also have the benefit of being able to move around more instead of standing in one spot with a bull's eye on your magic hat.

I've been playing Lyney in a burgeon team with Baizhu, Nahida and yelan and he's quite a fun play :)

personally, lyneys gameplay is really fun and unique, by unique I mean how every attack he does matches with how he’s a magician and stuff, he’s also my most used character rn and he’s also really good.

I feel like Lyney will be an Investment character. Invest now and see some good rewards but wait till Natlan and more Pyro characters and hopefully he’ll be even better then.

@@Tomy_Lightning Yelan is good, but we’re mainly referring about on-field dps archers. That’s why Lyney is compared with Ganyu and Tighanri in the video instead of Yelan. It would be rather unfair to compare Yelan and Lyney together. Yelan’s main usage is an off-field hydro application sub-dps, which is completely different from Lyney’s kit. So yes Yelan is a better off-field dmg dealer, but it is also true Lyney is a much better on-field dps.

​@@risangdanniswara5275 if it's about field time, tighnari uses the least. he literally has always been known as a quickswap dps and his entire kit points toward that gameplay. lyney spends more time on field than him, even more so with constellations.

I'd say that Lyney's bow is very close if not basically the same to Aqua Simulacra on Tighnari if you run him on triple dendro (Tighnari, Nahida, Baizhu/Yaoyao/Kiara, and any electro unit with good application), as Tighnari benefits a lot from all that attack.

In my opinion, Lyney is so much better playstyle wise when compared to Ganyu. I find her kit the most boring playstyle in Genshin. What I love about Lyney and Tighnari compared to her is the fact her kit is too plain and simple while Tighnari's fast on field gameplay and Lyney's stacking anf burst make it so much fun to play them compared to Ganyu

I'd saved for him and his weapon due to just liking his character, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how powerful he is. He can nuke, he can taunt, he can heal (himself), and you don't have to set up complicated reactions to see him do big damage. I hope we get a new pyro sheilder or something so there's better options for his team

Fontaine is perfect for a small heals with actual subdps healer, or even a "Pyro Diona", shield with heals and respectable uptime with sacrifial bow And not only supports, why dont we have more pyro sub dps? A pyro character is honestly worth rolling for (for me personally) if 1. One or more of their attacks is an explosion 2. Enemies go BOOM I rolled for klee and have no regrets and I want to roll for lyney now

You neglected to mention how, with Zhongli you can choose to run him on Archaic Petra instead of the usual Tenacity of the Millelith, as on a Mono Pyro team you will actually be generating only Pyro Crystallize Shards, thus being able to get decent value from that set

I’m planning on running Lyeny with Bennett, Thoma, and Lynette, and it seems like it’s gonna be a lot of fun

lyney is actually everything i wanted as a character because my favorite thing in this game always was the charged bow attack gameplay, but i don’t really enjoy ganyu for other reasons and loved him for his design and personality… and the gameplay also was perfect! couldn’t be more happy than that! also i literally always enjoyed playing with amber and for me getting a mixture of ganyu with amber is everything i could’ve asked for

I don't know about Lyney, but you can shoot Ganyu's charged attack before the animation is complete, when u see the second circle closing up u can already shoot (and yes, it will be the full charge). I recommend training that to maximize her DPS if you main her

in terms of the team issue, i dont find it much of a problem as you think. i just use lyney and bennett, leaving 2 slots for anyone i want, and his damage is still INSANE. like, he did 250k in the span of 3 seconds using his skill and burst.

Thank you for this video. I see other youtubers talking about artefacts and talents, and while its useful, i was much more interested in him playstyle and "how it feels to play him".

I personally like tighnari since him doing his damage real fast makes farming bosses quick and easy, lyney felt like he is in between ganyu and tighnari in terms of how fast he does damage and the fact that i dont really have to think about elemental reactions was nice. Id probably roll for him in his rerun but for now, i rolled for constellations for yelan(currently c1) since i want to get her to c6 eventually

I'm really just cycling through maining charged shot based archers... Ganyu was my first 5-star and my first main, Tighnari caught my attention with his fun quick swap style, and now Lyney with his impressive mono-pyro damage and flashy animations! Archers really out here proving they're still my favorites.

I'm very curious how this character will do paired with my current kuki main and chongyun that I use to get more element reaction and to make kuki still good when electric isn't effective but still be a godly healer but I want a decent fire option on the side. It should work. I'm using raiden, baizhu and nahida since lc 20 1/1/1 talents and killing things super easily. He was wielding a lv 80/90 aqua r2 bow and mid tier wanderers troupe from my tighnari. I'm working on his bow and he's 70/80 now. He's one of the more versatile units that, while his best IS mono pyro, you can use other teams and NOT feel like you HAVE TO run that as your only option. I find myself using NA alot so I'm adding Thomas to the party. I just wish he was C6 for the talent to help boost Lyney's talent more. Debating on the other 2 members from there.

I was so excited when I saw my five star and now my wanderer is happy with his new dehya

Haven't been utilising Zhonli in "harder" content since dendro altered the playing field (mostly been running two dendro teams). Since I lacked a good pyro dps, I pulled for him. After some pain in the new artifact domain, I got him into a working state and love his team. I run Bennet, Zhonli and Kazuha with him and the team kicks butt. It's become my go-to other team, allowing me to spam my Nahida/Raiden/Yelan/Bailu team on whichever side of the abyss. Oh, I also ran him with Zhongli, Raiden and Kokomi in the Wanderer weekly boss domain and that was loads of fun 👍🏻

would lyney also be good with baizhu in a burning team? I’m thinking shields and reactions 👀

I use him on my overworld team with Nahida, Raiden and Baizhu. Yes, it does work and he's been doing domains for his talent scrolls since lv 64. Even at lv 20 using my tighnari's mid wanderers troupe set and aqua simulacra r1 he quickly applies reactions as needed and his NA's procing raiden is great. Not to mention the shielding + healing. Then there's times I switched raiden with kokomi because I needed hydro for puzzles. Lv 20 lyney kills things faster than any other low level unit I've ever used even with overworld enemies who would normally tank hits just straight up dying. All lv 1 talents as well. I just got him 6/5/6 talent wise and lv 70/80. Need 60 flowers now and his bow so I can give aqua simulacra r2 to aloy/tighnari/childe

How does a mono pyro team deal with enemy shields? Just blunt force, claymore etc? Sounds slow for Abyss?

It's funny that 'just another Ganyu' could be seen as a reason not to pull... when that was actually one of the reasons I decided to pull for him. Not because I don't have Ganyu (I do) or enjoy her playstyle (I admit I benched her for Ayaka) but... because I don't enjoy Hu Tao and my only other pyro dps option besides her on my account is Diluc. I was so desperate for a new good pyro dps for when pyro is required (specially in Abyss) that hearing he was kinda like Ganyu was a selling point!

I think you could actually take lyney and save enough to get a guaranteed furina even if you're totally f2p. Expecially if you already saved some primos. I personally would suggest you to wait furina and take lyney at his rerun (that will be soon if he does like sumeri characters). I'll do like this.

I'm pulling for the weapon banner and not Lyney, which is a surprise, but it's mostly because I need bows for Ganyu, Tighnari and Fischl, I can probably make do with other bows but having Crit weapons is always nice. Oh, and as for using First Magic on Ganyu that's essentially the perfect bow for me as I use Ganyu Melt with Shenhe, it may not seem efficient but I like it, plus I get to use Shenhe with the flexibility of double bursting with both my cryo's while my Pyro is getting particles.

I love the Charge Shot characters so much

In 60 pulls i got lyney, his weapon and aqua, havent felt luckier

In theory, a good team for Kyney could be: Lyney Bennett Xiangling Kokomi/barbara (or Qiqi) he would still vape or Melt sometimes

If you vape you actually lose damage, because one hit would vape (and do more), the next would hit no aura and do way way less.

Burn or swirl if you replace kokomi with Nahida/Baizhu or Kazuha will still have good rotation 5:32

A huge misconception is that you cant use ganyu's burst in her melt team which is not always true. I aoe situations its better to use her burst, yes the damage of her charged attacks may be less but overall damage of the team will increase as xiangling would be able to melt most of her hits and the ganyus burst itself does quite a bit odmf damage in such cases.

I’m thinking bout using the 3 star messenger bow just bc it matches his outfit so well even tho I have all the 5 star bows 😢

8:40 I've actually run some tests with my Ganyu and, surprisingly, Lynney's Bow (The First Great Magic) beat out my Amos Bow in almost every scenario. (The only scenario where Amos did more Dmg, and not by much, was with No Reaction, and no Buffs, Simply Charged Shot Bloom.) Otherwise, whether it be Freeze or Melt, with Buffs, FGMagic came out on top. The different Buffers I have tried with Ganyu were Kazuha, Benny, Shenhe, Mona. I think the main reasons why this new bow does so well compared to Amos are: *1)* In Freeze, Ganyu doesn't worry about Charged Shots much, so the High Atk+CritDmg from FGMagic is more useful; *2)* In Melt Teams centered around Ganyu's Charged Shots, Ganyu already has a lot of Charge Atk Dmg with sets like Wanderer's Troupe and Shimenawa. This can make the extra Charge Atk Dmg from Amos a little redundant and can have diminishing returns. While FGMagic, on the other hand, has everything. Same Base Atk, ChargeAtkDmg%, 66%CritDmg, 32%AtkBonus (if using Ganyu + another Cryo). *3)* Finally, in teams with Shenhe, it's Obvious that the Quills can deal exponentially more Dmg with a CritDmg% Bow compared to Amos since the Quills are a Flat Increase and can Crit. I've also played around with Artifacts / stats / weapons using Genshin Optimizer. I have a very good Shimenawa Set, Wanderer's Troupe Set, AND Blizzard Set. Overall, for my account at least, the FGMagic almost always came out on top. When Amos was stronger, the difference was a lot smaller when compared to when FGMagic was stronger. Basically, when FGMacig was stronger, it was stronger by higher margins compared to Amos. So far, the only tests I have done were Freeze and Melt with 2 Cryo units on the team. If I try Mono-Cryo with 3 cryo units, the Bonus Atk% Stacks from FGMagic will be even higher so Amos can't compete lol. I understand everybody is going to have different artifact pieces and stats, so results may vary. Still, I felt a bit sad when I found out about this since I had been using Ganyu for a while, and it took me a long time to get my first Amos. I knew Lyney's Bow was good, but I wasn't expecting it to beat Amos on my Ganyu lol.

I don’t really think he needs a shield because of the Pneuma mechanic that will allow him to disable most boss Mechanics. So he is gonna be safe, only for Fontaine update probably.

i was pulling for yelan, i got jean, i had 1 more extra pull so i did it on lyney's banner, i got lyney. i wanted to get aqua simulacra, i got lyney's weapon. i swear mihoyo just gives if you dont even want it in the first place

the first time i use lyney, it feels a bit weird due to his quite complex mechanic. but after several trials im starting to get used to it and event tempted to pull! he's pretty much fun to play and yet a very reliable damage dealer but im saving for wriostheley for now, let's hope for lyney's rerun

Actually if dehya reduced lyney's HP consumption she could potentially nerf his damage. If he doesn't go low enough for Bennett to heal him, it'll mess with his set's buff uptime

Accidentally got Lyneys weapon, but I’m using it on tighnari, so it’s put to good use

I gotta wonder what the math is on Lyney Bennett Kazuha Zhongli is above having Xiangling and Zhongli, you get VV and the dmg bonus that way

Tighnari's AOE is in his ultimate - if there's multiple enemies he'll hit multiple enemies. Just with single attacks withing the ult.

I think if you play them all in the best or one of their most optimal team comps they are all farily equal. Ganyu's and Lyney have more AOE then Tighnari so he falls behind but in single targte similar, and even in AOE Lyney can do well enough do to his spammable nuke burst.

Farming the new set may take all version....but at least Emblem is in the Strongbox, so it wont kill me too much

I was saving my guaranteed for hutao but for some reason i decided to pull on lyney banner (to build pity) and got him at 52 pity. Im surprised by his dmg, like my talent levels are low and magician boy is hitting 30k+

Large atk cant knock you back when you have dehya's interruption RES, just like Raiden's burst or any shield. But dehya's interruption RES has a 9s uptime so it will end before the skill ends. Thats why you get knocked back while the skill is active

Little bit of misinformation here - first great magic in its currently released version is actually one of the best if not the best generalist bow for Ganyu. Additionally, Amos is actually one of her worse 5-star options in most teams and gets outplayed by 4-star craftables. Even in teams where ganyu is the sole cryo unit, the 16% CA bonus, CV, and 16% attack make it equal to hunter's path in melt, and better in high-ping and AoE due to the way hunter's path's buff works. In freeze/mono cryo it's second best only to polar star, but arguably better because the cdmg instead of crate sub makes it easier to build 4pc blizzard strayer. If the current bow banner is as good as it gets for lyney, that's even more true for ganyu. If you want a 5-star bow you can use in both melt and freeze, you're basically rolling on her #1 and #2 unconditional options.

I’ll just be happy seeing the meta shift from Cryo and Dendro for a little bit

There's a cyno meta? Or are you talking about overseas where everyone tested C6 characters and he was definitely in the meta tier? Because AFAIK no one in NA likes him because they hate investment and its why they love characters like Ayaka, Hu Tao and Yelan

I want this guy, I really loved his gamestyle but the only thing is I don’t want to use 3 pyro characters in one team. I don’t like mono teams and I will feel like it would be waste for all my other characters that I was working on for so long.
