I'd like to see you incorporate a "guest hacker" (say, around an 18 handicap) into these swing-trainer reviews. An advanced golfer's opinion is definitely worthwhile, but so is the experience of the guy whose most likely to buy one of these.

Great video. I also bought into the hype and been practicing with my Lagshot clubs. I’ve had mine since October and I finally know what “loading the club” feels like. Gained a club length with my new found distance. My rhythm and tempo seems to be smoother and slower, but now straighter with a little draw. It’s only when I get quick when I slice. Nice training tool. Good content as usual.

I just found this video, and even though I didnt get the lag shot it really gave me insight into what i need to work on at the top of my backswing and the type of feel i need to look for. introduced a lag in my swing and added 20+ yards to all my shots, it's insane, I was getting 114mph clubhead speed on my driver and my 6 iron is going 200 yards. it really messed with my yardages haha. now to get a bit better distance control and enjoy it!

A member at the club I work at has a lagshot club. Really threw me off the first time I saw it, but I couldn't stop myself from giving it a practice swing and realized immediately how intuitive the shaft of these is.

I bought the lag shot and took it to the driving range today. By the way, it’s not a new idea. I believe the original version of this concept was called “The Matzie” and it was a 3 wood. I owned one about 25 years ago. What’s old is new! Anyway, I am not a slicer. I almost always hit it straight but I’ve lost 10-15 yards with age. However, it seems that when I stay smooth and down through the shot, I can hit my irons as far as ever. Further, I’ve digested enough golf instruction over decades to have a sense of what the club would feel like at the top before I bought it and I knew that success meant not snatching the clubhead from the top but having that “awareness” or “feel” of it reaching its peak on the backswing and smoothly beginning the pull of the downswing. With the first few swings of the club at home it was easy to feel that transition point and I felt confident I’d hit it straight after a little practice. At the range, my first 10-15 shots were weak and pushed right. I made an adjustment recommended by Adam Bazalgette in the training video: I started my backswing by moving the handle, not the clubhead, as if the clubhead were glued to the ground and would move last. I began to hit the club well, high and straight. 15-20 more swings and I was more or less locked in. If I stayed down-my fault is to come out of the shot-I hit it very well, better than my regular 7. Then I went to my regular club. I couldn’t feel the lag with the steel shaft but the rhythm did rub off and I hit my real seven high and far. I love my timing and it seemed that I was making crisper impact with a better sound. In short, the lag shot changed my swing, or at least the timing of my swing, to good effect. Very happy. Will stay with it.

You fixed up my early release issue a year or so ago I was hitting my right inner forearm with the butt of the club, this would also help with that same issue. I think for me it felt like I had to slow down my hands at impact rather than speed up the casting effect and that's exactly what this is helping

I noticed you have two different reviews one on Lag Shot and the other on G force. I wanted to see if it possible for you to do a comparison video on the difference between Lag shot and G-Force. What are pros and cons. Hopefully other like me could benefit from this to make an educated decision. Thank you for your time in advance. Keep up the great videos coming. Cheers🙂

I purchased all three clubs and have practice a lot with the 7 & 54. I seen a great improvement with my swing. I suggest having gloves for both hands, the grip is a little rough (not complaining, just saying). I haven't had the chance to use the driver, but I do question the durability has I have dent in the top of the driver. Alway the irons have black finish and it's wearing off the 7 iron, it doesn't effect the club.

Vijay Singh used to hit balls with a device very similar to the orange whip: you can find the video on YT…

my most score debilitating issue is topping the ball in the rough, or making it roll 30 yards with a hybrid in the rough. i play better in the fairway when i dont feel rushed by the group waiting behind us. which just make me play worse and forces me to spend more time on the hole.

Great content as always. For some feedback, it would have been nice to have more footage down the target line for a review like this. Also could be cool to see some numbers on the simulator.

I think it is important to understand that lag doesn't mean Open to a Path or Closed to a Path. When you are demonstrating a Very Active Release, that is because on YOUR swing, the clubface is Open - as it is on every person who slices the ball. This weighted type of heavy & bendy club is clearly telling your brain where the clubhead is in Space & Time and that is helpful when learning. Getting the clubface immediately square at the top of the backswing is probably the most important thing golfers can do to improve - but it's not lag, it's clubface awareness

This is true. The lag is to increase distance AND, should, keep your club in the square impact position a bit longer which helps accuracy/consistency.
