VVD's tackle successful percentage is much better than him. Last season Koulibaly Aerial Duels won percentage is only 50%. It is not good. But no double his blocking the ball ability and his concentration are excellent.

This is phenomenal stuff not many defender is good a slide tackle like that timing have to be spot on and as you can see he got that on lock down, plus he's always in the right places to stop them from scoring its like you got a second goal keeper 😉 👏 👍

Pure defender. Reminds me of me in my amateur days. I learnt tackling watching Marcel Desaily. Its a combination of reading the game ahead of your opponent, raw speed, commitment and precision to the tackle. I absolutely loved it and preferred good attackers to play up against. Only reservation with K is that when the speed goes with age, so does the precision. At some point it becomes more expedient to stay on your feet and see out attacks which on its own requires different qualities. Koulibaly definitely should be winning the games biggest prizes. He is a phenomenal defender. Helps when you can play a bit too like he can.

I will never understand why kalidou koulibaly is so underrated. The dude was several times the best defender in the same league with De Ligt, Bonnucii and Chiellini...
