    For the message, while you are likely correct in your diagnosis, another thought I had is that the husband might have undiagnosed autism or something along those lines. Yes, he was more touchey in the beginning of the relationship because he was in the honeymoon phase, but now that his hormones have kind of leveled out he might be back to "baseline". I would ask his mom if he would accept hugs or was super sensitive to sensation when he was a kid...I have heard of similar problems and that was actually the husband's problem...again, Jordan and Josh may be right but I don't want the wife to feel like the ONLY option is that her husband is guilty of some sin (again, he COULD be, but till he opens up more we just don't know).

    From a Christian stance on the Flat Earth thingy, I use Psalm 103:12 "12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." If the Earth was flat, east from west would be measurable like north from south is.

  • @SimpleMan-rx1uo

    @SimpleMan-rx1uo

    Ай бұрын

    That's actually incorrect. East and west works the same on a globe earth as it does on a flat earth. East and West are just 90 degree orientations from North. On a flat earth you can travel continuously east or west because you would be traveling around North which is at the center of the flat earth map.

    My favorite video on the subject is Mike Winger’s “debunking those flat earth verses so you don’t have to” it’s important to take context and not take things at face value, and more importantly, not to twist the Bible just to fit your own personal agenda.

  • @claireandcolin5314

    @claireandcolin5314

    True. But they are also both wrong in that the globe earth was not in question at that time. The shape of the earth is something that has been known since ancient times, millennia before Copernicus. It is not hard to discover. The way the heavenly bodies are arranged and where earth fits into that is the issue Galileo was arguing.

    Pray for your husband. Always. Pray for your wife. Always. Best thing you could do for them is ask God to help them, bless them, guide them, convict them, and then pray for help yourself to love them anyway, no matter what. There is no promise your spouse won't change. There's no certainty they won't change again. That's why we need Jesus as part of it all. 🙏 💓

    I think it’s likely watching porn for some people makes them not want sex, because they’re getting off else where, and no longer have the energy or desire for real sex, which takes actual effort and wooing of the girl-an effort some men do not have after cheating and watching porn 😢

    I also immediately thought that the husband is having an affair of some sort. But if he's not, and as he says, it is just who he is, or a personality type, that's still not an excuse. He needs to work on showing and allowing affection. That's part of the marriage commitment. It is cruel to completely and always deny that to his wife. There needs to be some sort of compromise and understanding.

    Galileo wasn’t in trouble because he posited heliocentrism. He was in trouble because he started arguing without backing up his position with evidence and even started bad mouthing the Pope, who ironically prior to that was backing his endeavors in researching heliocentrism. The story gets wrongly passed around as if he was in trouble for his science, but rather it was because of his prideful temper, disrespecting the guy who was supporting him and his position, and bad science.

    For the Messyge, it kind of sounds like different love languages. There are some people that don't like to be touched at all and others who need a lot of physical contact. Both of you need to be aware of this and maybe compromise a bit on your preferences. But even those who don't like physical touch should still show love in some kind of way. Saying "I don't have time for this" seems a bit weird.

    16:07 Isn't the premise of a universal basic income is that it's paid for by businesses who have an AI robot workforce? I don't think it's welfare in the sense that government 'borrows' money/prints via a central bank and gives it to workers that would have otherwise been employed if it weren't for AI robots. It's not paid for by other taxpayers. There will probably be a tipping point whereby enough businesses have AI robot workforces that there aren't any (mundane?) jobs for people to perform. This absolutely won't happen in 5 years, imo, but 20-30 years...maybe? One way to think about it is if every robot was owned by a worker...The robot is doing work on their behalf and they reap a partial benefit in the form of a universal basic income. The robot becomes the labor part of the means of production except that they're much cheaper than human labor. Most (?) of the difference is paid in the form of UBI. What ramifications could this have on society? Do the people who currently perform mundane tasks have aspirations to do something less mundane? Would it propel human ingenuity? I'm not for or against UBI but if it's implemented in a way that's just paying someone (everyone) money that results in an unproductive populace, then I'm against any such idea.

    How can any of us KNOW the reality of flat or round or something else? There is plenty of evidence for flat earth, but how could anyone prove either 100%. I lean toward flat earth for now based on listening to a lot of discussions on this, but hey... who knows. I am open to either when I feel I have a better perspective which I am hoping happens eventually. Josh, there are a lot of us. Interesting that Jordan is comparing people who believe in flat earth today to people who he says were persecuting someone hundreds of years ago? That is not the kind of people who I know believe in flat earth today are behaving; no one is persecuting globe believers. It is an unjustified comparison or strawman argument imo. I personally am not wedded to flat or round. I am not capable of knowing, but I like the question and searching for both possibilities. I just don't feel a need to buy into the globe story any more than the flat earth story. By being open and keep gathering evidence I feel more empowered to learn something, hopefully. If I say I know it is this or that, I won't even be open to new data. The reason people say watch this video is no matter how much I have heard reasons I haven't made it enough of my purpose to remember all the details. What if like so many things the truth is something different or a combination of both. I watched a video that did a good job of showing how that could be, but man, I couldn't even remember where to send you to that video. Just keep an open mind and listen for both arguments until you really know--like when we die? lol

But for people who don't have my advantages, there are heaps of really simple experiments and observations you can do - some from the comfort of your own home, others require the assistance of friends in different locations -to deduce the shape of the earth. They are making a podast, they also make their regular funny videos, they still make jokes and fun in the podcast, but they have a life outside of youtube that they have to maintain. They are brothers so of course they talk to each other outside of the podcast, the podcast is just a part of their job so that they can keep making their fun videos ❤

    There are a lot of podcasters who are friends who talk regularly but they might wait to talk about some things until the podcast because it’s fun and they can make money and there’s nothing wrong with that. Back when I use to watch GMM they talked about how they’ll do that too.

    What gave you the ideas that they are unreasonably distrustful of people and don't talk between podcasts? Also, they get the majority of their money from their supporters, not KZread.
