The man carried the franchise through the 90's decade. As the lone star of the franchise he went to 2 NBA finals. Lost in a game 7 to the MVP of the 94 season. Arguably top 3 ever player to never win the Chip, in large part because of the MJ dominance over the East... But Brunson is better?! Sure.

He is the best point guard for the Knicks since Walt, but let’s not disrespect Patrick Ewing here. Patrick got his team to the finals twice and the 90’s Knicks always made some deep playoff runs, but like everyone else in that era, ran into Jordan one too many times. I think Jaylen CAN exceed Patrick, but right now he’s tied with Melo on my list for fourth. Walt, Willis reed, Patrick Ewing, Melo/Brunson

These people are prisoners of the moment. Potential is one thing but fulfilling that potential is something entirely different. The last time the Knicks had a legitimate chance to win the NBA championship was in 1994 when Patrick and the crew needed game 6 or game 7 to close out the series (Patrick was hurt in 1999 and didn’t play against the Spurs). This current Knicks team is promising but there is no way that they represent the best chance of theKnicks winning the title since 1973. THAT IS ABSURD! No way they’re beating Boston, much less Denver (outside of a litany of injuries to both teams starting 5)!

Why is this a discussion. No one worries about who's the best Pacer, or best Celtics player or best 6er player. This just programming you to only view Jalen Brunson in comparison to Knicks players to distract from the fact that he's superior to Donavan Mitchell, Damian Lillard, and having a better play series numbers than Steph Curry. Only Michael Jordan, and Oscar Robertson had comparable performances.

See that’s why the NBA is so stupid… it’s because of questions like that players today are great but why do they have to be always projected to be the best ever or the best in over 50 or 60 years? LeBron, claiming to be the greatest of all time Steph Curry claim to be the best guard of all time Kevin Durant wants to be the greatest of all time Kyrie Irving is the most skilled player ever The greatest of time is Michael Jordan The best guard is Magic Johnson The most skilled player of all time is Hakeem Olajuwon “Analyst“ are fanboys to the modern players just to gain access to them… Stroking their ego Jalen Brunson is awesome. Renew my faith in the New York Knicks, but come on… it’s sad and pathetic He is the best player since Patrick Ewing if Brunson wins a championship then he can be in a conversation in overtaking Patrick Ewing in that conversation It also remember Patrick did everything he did with jacked up knees… They were pretty much messed up since he entered the league Stop with the fanboy questions… it’s pathetic… Extremely pathetic

I mean, no one expected Jalen to be THIS GREAT on this Knicks and he made the second round LAST year as well. He's been a great leader, which Melo wasn't really classified to be, he took them to the two seed this year and he's advanced past the second round twice in two years now, yet Melo only advanced once when he was on the Knicks. Got swept in 2011, got gentleman's swept in 2012 and didn't make the playoffs in NY after their second round elimination in 2013. Jalen will definitely lead them to even more playoff appearances in the next few years than Melo has AND he's just getting started. Granted, Melo was no scrub but Brunson deserves the credit. I'm not going as far to say he's better than Patrick Ewing ofc but he's definitely moved up.

It amazing me how people keep hyping up Anthony Edwards when Jalen Brunson has been the best player in the playoffs a matter he have carried his team all year long 28.7 in the season and 35.5 in the playoffs shooting 48 percent fg 9 assts come on people stop looking over this assassin and give him his props. If I can do it sports media can do because I am Boston Celtics fan for life
