i would prefer obscure actual clone trooper designs then these, like a 5th fleet or a combat engineer. if they made a gold super i’d get this tho 🗿

Ngl I prefer figures that are screen accurate / canon / Legends. It pains me to say it but I’m skipping the chromey variants altogether. I did get the chrome clone and wasn’t too impressed, especially where the chrome paint had chipped where the armour clashed/rubbed together. Having said all that, they do look STUNNING!! Great video, think the speed of announcement to release took everyone by surprise! 👍🏻

I get that 100%! If it weren't for Padmé, I would've passed on them. They're extremely niche to a point where they would look awkward next to other clones. It makes a bit restricting in a way, so I get you. I'm hoping the flaking from the paint application was sealed better this time around, because that was a bit of a problem with the Chrome Clones. I'm one of 4 people who actually love this thing, haha! 😆

I'm shocked to hear you say you love it, but...I'm like that you do! There aren't many of us that do and that's OK by me. Also, if not many people are grabbing them, there's less competition for us!! Can't wait to see what you do with this one, both your display and in the review.

Hahaha, yeah, it's just... beautiful! something about the look of it is like looking at deep rich burgundy color to me. It's just pleasing to the eye for some reason. 😅 I questioned making this video, because it got dumped on so bad. But I had to represent! Crazy to see they went right to stock after reaching the 50% point from the queue. Oh well, more for us! Looking forward to filming! 😄🍻

No. I can see if someone collected these "special" figures they would want it. But I think most collectors stick to the screen accurate figures. IMHO, the regular, weathered weapons look odd with this figure. It would have looked better if the weapons were gold too, or a shiny black.

I wouldn't have been upset at a black chrome set of weapons. Either that or a clean matte black look, would've been nice! I do think it makes it difficult for collectors to shell out the money for these though since they're pretty niche. Would rather other legions though.

I personally think this is only worth buying into if you already have the silver chrome clone trooper. But it’s cool nonetheless. I know there are folks that’ll get this so good on them!

Wow, he looks fantastic. But after having acquired the Umbra Arc Trooper, I think I have to dial down my Trooper purchases at the moment. He would not really fit in with my other guys. The most "exotic" Clone I own is the Arena Boba Fett, but I am okay with him being a Mandalorian, not a Clone Trooper per se.

Yeah, the Umbra ARC Trooper hurt the hell out of my wallet. Requesting the whole amount up front was brutal. I don't see myself ever doing that again. It's probably for the best you pass on this one then with everything considered. I just couldn't help myself. 😅

Making any clone exclusive and limited-other than these metallic repaints-named or not would make the community shit their pants again. Look at the Umbra Operative. No-win situation for HT I can see them making a silver or gold Rex.

I agree with making other legions. Out of the few Jedi we have, we can have heir battalions yet we'll see 501st clone... again.

In my opinion, Hot Toys is making bad decisions with their clone figures these days. I'm pretty sure most of us would prefer regular clones. They really missed a great business opportunity by making the Imperial Commando clone a limited edition. I would've happily paid top dollar for at least a squad of 4.

This is not that reflective, it's not even chrome...it's metallic

Yeah, it varies throughout the promotional photos, and I can't trust the blogger shots either. Hoping it's the same brushed appearance as the chrome clones. If not, at least I can get my money back. 😴
