I'd like to see companies post videos of digiscoping stuff through different binoculars.

I am planning to make the same comment. They have so much marketing and a full office and this isn't any better than a beer /coffee at the bar garage deck backyard grill kitchen table etc etc but they can't present actual pictures and or video to show the product? Seems sales marketing gimmicky....

My advice is for any binocular users who have low tolerance of color fringing (chromatic aberrations or CA for short) you should skip these binos, at least if you are going to use them in daytime, high contrast situations because the levels of CA are very noticeable for both the HD and UHD models compared to most of the competitors in the same price brackets such as the Nikons, Pentaxes or the GPOs etc. Otherwise they are good in other criteria.

I like the talk about the sweet spot in a optic, too bad to many people think they need a 20 MOA base on there rifle scope so they can dial hold over to 1000 yards but 99% of game is harvested under 300 yards ! Just some thing to think about. Just FYI I love my Razor 8x42 I just picked up in the last year.

Exactly...the smaller ones for archery and the larger ones for Rifle hunting.

I have tried them in person but do not own any of them. Sharpness wise, they are very close. When it comes to brightness, the UHD wins hands down. I think the UHD compares very favorably to the much more expensive Swaro, Leica and Zeiss alpha glass. For me, I can save a ton of money and go with the UHD and don't feel that I am missing much.

There is no substitution for time and experience in the field. Someone who has the experience will recognize the subtle clues in optimal conditions no matter what binoculars they are using - their brain fills in the gaps. But when the conditions become difficult, the better optics will help improve your chances of getting that once in a lifetime trophy or identifying the subtle differences in plumage of that rare bird at dusk on a gray winter day.

NL Pure is twice as expensive ... so comparing these 2 is moronic.

I own UHD’s and just did a side by side with mine vs. Swarovski NL Pure ($3,500), Leica Noctivid ($3,000), and Zeiss Victory SF ($2,500). I paid approximately $1,250 for my UHD’s. Optically and ergonomically I would put the UHD ahead of the Zeiss. I found the Swarovski and Leica binoculars very close optically with the Swarovski having an ergonomic advantage. There are slight differences in color and contrast between all the binoculars which comes down to personal preference. Would I love to own the NL Pures? Yes, but not for almost $2,000 more.

@@davidlupke8018 I’ve had them all side by side and I totally disagree. Uhd is not even in the same league as the other two. Everyone’s eyes are different but can’t be that different. I’ve get your eyes checked no offence.

Expertise costs money. It’s a matter of whether you are getting good, fair advice or not for the cost paid. This review seems to be not only fair but an objective review of the differences between the two models.

If Vortex sucks then so does all the clothing brands you love; for the most part, they don't make any of their own clothing. Most companies buy materials from vendors anyway. If the products good, then the products good. It's not a trick.
