My kids use it mostly every night before going to bed. 2 - I don’t have any experience with whitening products. But I do recommend just water flosser especially for kids. I hope this helps you. I noticed it rattles a lot on the no. 10. setting. To me it doesn’t seem like a good motor design. The plastic on the unit doesn’t have that weight or feel to it that it’s sturdy- it’s a bit on the flimsy side and I think that’s why it it sounds louder too. To be honest, I’m a little disappointed in the rattling more than the noise, and I understand it’s pressurizing the water but I’ll keep it and use it.
