I am really happy that I took the time to pursue the MBA it gives you a holistic view of the business. Yes it does help to get interviews for managerial position but as you said your work experience and how much you learnt and can execute the learning really matters to move higher up in the corporate ladder.

ME if you plan to specialise in your field of study, MBA is a Management masters which has the above said benefits, & PMP is a project management specialisation which will help you in project management in an organizational context. Project management is a course in MBA.
