Is it worth coming to CANADA in 2024 after GIC is $20,635? Canada in 2024

In this video, we discuss if it is worth coming coming to Canada in 2024 after Marc Miller, Immigration Minister of Canada brought some policy changes for International Students in Canada. I share my opinion which would help you to make your decision.

It is NOT easy to earn $70k to $100k for a fresher skilled graduate or even an experienced skilled person. No Jobs, fake Job postings, hiring freeze. Experienced skilled people are struggling to get a job, even people who have jobs are scared of being laid off. These days life is quite a struggle in Canada.

If you are competent enough. you will get a job , even during tough times. but, if you got fake experience and know jack shit about how to communicate, then , yes you will struggle. it all comes down to how you present yourself to a prospective employer.

Good content from Gurusahib. He understands the problems and sees them the right way🙏🏻 Canada needs a working population. With the current lot of Whites in Canada it is never going to work. Unfortunately they follow the US which has its own set of weird immigration policies. One after another the 5 eyes and their sidekicks will select migrants to keep us off. What they fail to realise that it is the same people on whose hard work these countries are so advanced.

Starting December 1, 2023, a new version of the study permit application form (IMM1294) is available. If you’re applying through the IRCC secure account, this version must be used to submit study permit applications. Applications submitted on or after December 1, 2023 that use the old version of the form will not be accepted.

In 2022, Canadian PR's made up of the following top 10 countries: India (118, 095 immigrants) - 27% China (31,815 immigrants) - 7.2% Afghanistan (23,735 immigrants) - 5.4% Nigeria (22,085 immigrants) - 5.05% Philippines (22,070 immigrants) - 5.04% France (14,145 immigrants) - 3.2% Pakistan (11,585 immigrants) - 2.6% Iran (11,105 immigrants) - 2.5% United States of America (10,400 immigrants) - 2.3% Syria (8,500 immigrants) - 1.9% If Indians decide not to come to Canada, then they will be replaced by other nations. On Dec 7th, IRCC Minister Miller said, "We intend to implement targeted pilots that will test new ideas aimed at helping underrepresented cohorts of international students pursue their studies in Canada."

Please avoid canada many are saying I am negative but canada is not performing well in any terms nowadays. Try any other country for better future and less struggle. Trying new country will take 6 months more but if you not get full-time job which I bet it will be struggle after 2 years of your studies as inflation is not going anywhere from canada for atleast 8 to 10 years. I was working for educational consulting I send 87 students in canada except for few Noone is seeing future there even 4 to 5 students come back to india as they were rich so they can afford. First struggle in part time job, struggling in inflation, hard work for 2 years during studies and after that big struggle of full time which college students not that much get most are taken by top uni students. If want to still go kindly tell me your city

1:36 - Your question at this time stamp. Answer? What if the person doesn't want to stay back in India and want to migrate to Canada (Or another country)? Yes their family has money but they would like to improve their life and find that Canada is the place for them. They like what Canada has to offer and not just going because the government had made it easier to migrate or it was easier to get into a Canadian college and do a course, then work and apply for PR. Maybe they had genuine reasons!

I agreed to most of your points. Even if students are disciplined and they think they can send back their GIC, Have a backup plan too. Job market is really congested and I am seeing people struggling to find jobs for months now. Try to choose cities which have relatively less students. Remember the situation is bad and will take time to improve. So plan accordingly

@@mannanarora5320 yea your right😊there is no getting rich in Canada. people think coming here getting rich making alots of money a lot of saving we have to look at the expenses and taxes. Everyone can run a business in Canada they need some experience and skills in real world people need to put way too many hard work and there is so much failure alots of struggle and crying. I seen 1/3 of the small businesses fail within 3-5 years and on top of that we had covid now almost every business in $150,000-250,000 debt and almost all household has credit card debt and household mortgage and bill debt they need to pay back. We also still have 60k covid loans to pay back. I don’t know how many even saved 60k so far to pay back. we have to pay in 21 days or we will lose 20k forgiven and we have to payback in full 60k and we have interest on principal balance $250 per month this is a another headache for everyone and next year I believe 250,000 small will be closing down anyone living off small businesses income you all will be in chaos and will be more in debt no jobs hiring at all most are either layoff or closing down no hiring at all even if someone does hire within 6-8 month layoffs it’s crazy everyone either living off paycheque to paycheque or they all say I hope I make a end meet.

Hi, can you tell if a person has an offer from Rotman School of Management- University of Toronto for MBA starting in aug 2024, should he consider the offer given the current changes? UOT is the best university in canada but its expensive so is it worth it considering the current scenario?

The economy in general is struggling. I'm at Rotman and it's great for education. Opportunities post MBA will be severely limited. If you are in your 20s and moving to study, I would recommend waiting a year.

But at the end of the day, you do what's best for you NOW. There's no perfect option. In terms of work opportunities, US > Canada. SE Asia is relatively unaffected by recession. Middle East is still better then CA, but no good schools there (maybe INSEAD Abu Dhabi). Also check hiring trends for different sectors and companies. For example, consulting is down. Big tech is down. If you're graduating 2 years later, it should be ok by then (hopefully).

@@mahtabsoin7239 Thanks for mentioning the above points. I see this as like I will graduate in 2026 so hopefully things might be better. What do you think? Also, any comments on schools like NUS/ Cambridge ? US definitely has more opportunities but not a immigration friendly place. I have seen people from Rotman MBA do join middle east offices specially in consulting so do you think Rotman's brand is certainly there outside Canada though limited to certain geographies?

It's the pur people who trolled altot government that the students working full time and because of that new students don't get job. Then now all were going to part time one's then all students said it's difficult to manage everything in 20 hours. A lot people had tweet on government sites regarding cost and inflation and everything is getting expensive. In the end they have to take some decision so to match the today's dearness they increased the gic for new students and given relief for 4 months to existing students

Best advice to potential international students: don't expect studies in a western country to be easy or cheap. Housing crisis since pandemic ended. Inflation. Don't listen to agents back home telling u differently while also taking your $ (with some creating fraudulent documents). Canadian students pay less in tuition because Canadians have paid Canadian taxes all their lives. Are u primarily wanting to migrate to a western country (for free healthcare and to gain PR or citizenship) and doing so via being a student? Most (by far) seem to be, while also lacking sufficient funds. Some are hiding this fact b4 arriving then they're very desperate for $ and cheap residence once here. Its become a big problem. Lifelong residents are competing with foreigners for affordable shelter. Bcuz the international student, immigrant, refugee, and illegal migrant population has EXPLODED since 2021 with no signs of slowing so far. Canada is trying to fix things. Canada is ranked in the top ten for most safe & trustworthy country in the world. Plus somebody explain why tribal problems in India have become Canada's problem in Canada (or in the USA). Its upsetting Canadians greatly cuz we want PEACE.

Considering all these things I think masters in New Zealand is the best option. You can get PR in just two years which includes one year of masters study. NZ has changed the pR rules in October and seems like the best option now. Plus weather is also very good as compare to Canada.
