Luetin09 is the goat warhammer 40k lore youtuber, he has a lot of long form videos that are great introductions to the universe.

I do not think you will be disappointed, the universe for 40k is vast and the game will showcase that because the studio is working very closely with Games Workshop. They will get it right. Also you will be fighting against Chaos Space Marines on one of the other planets. As a 40k veteran myself, I will say the tabletop side of the community will welcome you with open arms, you just have to give it a chance. There's something for everyone and this game is tied in with the main storyline of the 40k setting at the moment. No matter which faction you end up liking, you wont be disappointed.

Same here, I think I will finally get into this franchise through this game!

Well just be warned, I’ve been into the game since i was 6-7 and there’s still stuff i don’t know and obviously there’s more lore coming out, so you really should focus on certain characters, races or factions, cause if you want to know about everything at once, you’ll get overwhelmed really damn fast!

If you want to know more about the Warhammer 40k universe, to start with I recommend : Every single Warhammer 40k (WH40k) Faction Explained | Part 1, doesn't delve too deeply into the factions, but at least gives you an idea of the universe

Honestly, best way to get into 40k is to grab a game like this and try it out. Most of these don't need you to know a ton of lore to get them. It helps with context, but it isn't neccessary for understanding the plot for the most part. I don't think the game will be complicated. Last one was just 4 weapon slots, melee, and jumping. Ultimately it was a simple game so pvp was just knowing what class you where fighting.

I’m a 22 year vet of WH40k, you will not be disappointed, also get some of the books-they are amazing

First game had pvp very similar to what we are seeing in the trailer and it was fun.

@@CouchPatroll Huge 40k fan, collected and painted the minis back in the day, own most of the games 40k and Fantasy (of which there are a lot) and supremely looking forward to Spacemarine 2 especially it being co-op which looks super wicked.

For those of You with concerns of multiplayer, draw from the first game, Space Marine, that's where the creators are gonna draw from and expand and further develop on . . . That's because that multiplayer worked VERY Well, so They don't have to change it, just expand on it and make it Even better 😊🤙. . .

The big universe is worth the treasure.

And as for the first game, though it's not co-op, maybe each of You should play the campaign for gameplay feels and story awareness . . . This will give You all a better idea (versus what You just saw) of the most like play of Space Marine 2 and the background story leading to the next game 🙂👌. . .

Some of us have already spend hours watching lore videos here on youtube, it trully does feel mad hahaha, It's amazing though, we just might make it one of the go-to franchises we cover on the channel, thank you and much love to you as well from Europe! :)

Even if you don't want to get into the tabletop game with all the building and painting miniatures, Warhammer has some of the very best storylines out there. You can go really deep and just enjoy the books and video games (there's a lot of crap games out there but it's been turning around over the last few years - SM2 is shaping up to be a real powerhouse title, I hope they can stick the landing as it's been significantly delayed. Looks like the delays were worth it though). Enjoy and remember - "Loyalty is its own reward".

А ведь релиз этой игры ещё перенесли на год в 2023 году... Вроде это лучше, чем если бы было так же, как и с другими играми, что выходили, когда им нужна доработка. но нет, их выпускают, а потом нам делают заплатки......

I have to disagree with the pvp part, it’s honestly pretty good and kept Space Marine (1) alive for over a decade. So i can imagine it can only get better with SM2 especially with future content.

@@CouchPatrolli would say it feels quite similar to gears of war (ive never played it myself, but a lot of people compared it to SM1) but yeah, i‘m quite optimistic, but i‘m sure we all know, that we can’t 100% trust game devs nowadays, but we will see! :)
