It’s just been going on for so long and it’s exhausting. And I think it’s making the expectation greater than what will really be revealed, when it does get revealed.

So was I but I think getting a Steam Deck recently and the shitty ports on the Switch don’t help either. Plus all I want now if for current generation games to be able to run decently on the new Nintendo handheld.

Can’t argue with it tbh, we need that new hardware desperately. However I’m still maining my Switch wherever possible, but then again I don’t have a more powerful handheld

I traded tonnes of games at CEX and came out there with a Steam Deck. I’ve just been playing games I cannot be bothered to fire up on my Xbox. Thank you for watching bro and hope you are well

I'd argue they need good games again. 2k hours botw, 14 hours totk. Litterally couldn't wait to be done with the sequel, but I would not return to the game. Metroid dread was disappointing with one major combat gimmick being 80% of the game. No exclusive mario kart, pokemon is garbage since the ds, nothing worth playing coming down the pipe. Nintendos movies are doing better than their games, for a gaming company thats not good.

That’s all pretty spot on. I did enjoy a lot of first party games, but I don’t see myself going back to them a second time.

I feel the Switch 2 is incoming. But I really want it to be fully backwards compatible with the switch games

Whatever the next Switch has, it still won't be enough for some. Maybe people haven't paid attention to previous Nintendo consoles, because I'd argue since the SNES they've been underpowered compared to its gen competition. If you want "the best" version of multi platform titles, Nintendo is never going to be it. Comparing dick sizes (metaphorically speaking) with other platforms is utterly ridiculous.

Exactly that. I just hope the next announcement is powerful enough to run current gen games. Not even the Steam Deck can handle certain games. There are always going to be tradeoffs and limitations, concerning power efficiency, processing and cost. If rumours are true, and the next thing is $400, then I expect a tweaked/slightly upgraded Switch. Akin to a jump from DS to 3DS in a way
