Is It Strange? Ukrainian Traditions which surprise Americans - Street interviews

Hi friends,
Here's something new!
During Earth Day festival in St Louis, MO we talked with people about strange traditions in Ukraine.
Strange means both weird and unusual, so for me of course none of those Ukrainian traditions / norms are strange - because it's been my only reality when I was growing up!
However, I understand that some of Ukrainian culture peculiarities may seem strange to others, which is more than okay!
Thank you- again - everybody who participated, every one of you was so kind and open! ❤️

Hi from Nevada. Welcome to the US! And this is a really cool video. I support Ukraine, and I make people around me aware of Ukraine. I notice that sometimes it takes a peculiar cultural event or item that first captures someone's interest, and then things build from there. What you are doing in this video seems fun and informative, but it also helps spark a flame that can become a fire, in a good way.

Have you visited the University of Missouri Journalism School? I'm not sure where they are, but you might enjoy learning about them and telling your online students about the school? 🗺

To my opinion, the strangest thing about ukranian traditions is love to eat "сало" which is pork fat... Ask Americans about that.. My predictions that 9/10 will tell you that it is not "strange" it is disgusting.... But it so tasty!

Привіт! I asked one lady about that but I think she misinterpreted my question. Thank you for the idea! Good to know you like сало! :)

You need to do more of this, you need more questions. Like you could talk about Christmas dates. Слава Україні, Героям Слава! Нехай бог благословить Україну and the USA!

Just wanted to try and see how it would go. People were very willing to talk so more questions would be no problem! Thanks!
