@@Eli-kq7qt lol. I dated my ex and initially thought he was ugly. It was sort of for less genuine reasons but also sort of not. I gave him a chance bc he seemed to genuinely adore me (hed known me for 2 yrs and fell in love at first sight) and I loved the attn and how he almost saw me as a god. I could've just kept him in the friendzone forever (and j was aleays honest that I saw him as just a friend...) but at the same time, he was so persistent that i felt like....what the heck. I was like...let's see if i could be not shallow and see past a man's looks and see if i could love him for his "soul", so yeah i gave it a shot. He eventually became more attractive to me and soon he became beautiful in my eyes, physically and just in personality. But i ended up breaking up with him bc we were incompatible in many ways and he was a little too into me and moved things way too fast. Anyhow, i say that to say, u can date someone u think is ugly for a mixture of reasons.

Once I got to know him I liked his personality a lot. He adored me to death. Gave me all the attention I ever wanted a man to give me. Long story short I fell in love with him like crazy. He persued me a little longer then a year before we started dating. Someone wanting you so badly make you feel some kinda way. He also once said he never tought he could ever be with all girl like me. Before we got together his friends already told me that I was exactly his type. We broke up for the same reasons you broke up with your ex. Later when I was not in love anymore I could not understand how I ever found him phscly attractive 🤣! But yeah we made sweet love so...... I think for us women how someone treats us is everything. A guy can be hotter than hell but if he mistreats me I'm out.

Exactly! There's nothing wrong wanting attractive and gorgeous woman or man, but if it's the only thing you want, then it's the problem. Especially if you aren't that yourself. Too many guys want a stunning woman no matter how unattractive and even ugly they are. That's just so unrealistic and so shallow. Then at the same time they can bash unattractive women with no morals. I believe in equality even in this. You can't get ten, if you are 3. I believe that best relationships belong in the same class. They don't have that many differences be it looks looks, money, social class or whatever. But in the end if guy acts like an idiot, looks mean nothing. Woman or man can be most stunning person alive, but if they are mean, rude, stupid, shallow who only care about themselves, there's nothing there. Most beautiful person can become really ugly so fast. Persona makes the real difference. Unattractive person becomes much more attractive when he is smart, loving, understanding, interesting and exciting.

Most men settle for what they can get. Most men can't attract some1 they see as a 10. That's very rare that you're her 10 & she's your 10. Successful men in their 40s 6ft 2 or better, attractive can demand what they want which is usually 8 or better, no kids, under 30. Also 10s usually suck to date. It's like "is she gonna do anything besides show up & look cute with her list of demands" If a man has never dealt with the 10s he probably wants see if he can attract them. My 7-8 to me, that's bringing gifts, says "hey this Sunday I'll cook for us," a real down was sista that's who I'm wifing up.

Do you also feel like a man cannot find you attractive physically? My self esteem was low and Ive felt that way before....Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If a man is attracted to you, it will include traits that cannot be seen with the eye but ALSO your looks, despite how YOU feel about your looks. A man will love you! And he will love looking at you too. Beauty radiates from the inside out!

@@9188jenni Yes I do feel like men do not see me as physically attractive. And it breaks my heart. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I feel like most guys think don't think I'm physically attractive beacuse their are a lot of more attractive traits that I don't have like being hourglass shaped and having clear skin or a big butt. So on... And I hate that I'm automatically not good enough to be someones true love because of that. All I really want is love.

Most women are shallow because imo they get praised for being shallow. there's no shame in being shallow so most women do not see a problem with it. If a guy were to dump a girl for being unfunny, having zits, or something small he's shamed by everyone for dumping a girl for a very small reason. but a girl can dump a guy for the same reasons or more such as just being bored or wanting him to earn more and most people will praise her for it.

Joey Fatone can get away with it because of charm and he understands blending in and making his point in light digestible manner. Steve Harvey worked because he told women what want they want to hear in a funny way, occasionally being truthful if the girl was so out there even the audience was like hell no she crazy. Other than Chris Hemsworth I feel like they wouldn't pick a guy that would give you straight testerone based views. It would have to be a metro/ beta male for daytime women viewers to handle that perspective.

It's shallow if that's the primary quality he's looking for in a partner. All men want to be with a woman they find attractive, but actually stating that that's what they're looking for can be a bit off-putting.

It is shallow. Yes they can like what they like but it can be still shallow. If a woman only likes a man with A LOT of money - she likes what she likes but she is still being shallow to a degree or a gold digger. And I think the question implies that he may not be as handsome as the woman he wants.

But if you 3 and want ten and believe you deserve it and that's the only thing you are interested in, that makes you pretty damn unrealistic and shallow.
