I mean the dad was worried when she went Missing and tbh brick was avoiding her cause he had a crush on her (if u notice he was blushing when he ran away) and the dad threatened brick when he found out that he (brick) was avoiding his daughter. So I wouldn't say they didn't love her but more of didn't know how to show their love for her
