I feel that’s why so many do the ts glitch and I don’t blame them at all. The drop rate is terrible in tier 3 and on top of that the cool down periods are crazy.

if you run solo in zombies the first mission you complete will always give a self rez. Rare tools should not spawn in tier 3 it just doesn't make sense lol

I find that very frustrating that the drop rate for the legendary ether tool is so low. If you don't have the schematic, which I don't, it seems like there's no way to get them, because without one, you can't do enough damage to keep the mobs off you in the high tier zones.

I think it would help if they gave us a work bench to upgrade our rarity to our weapons like 1k for Uncommon 2k for Rare 5k for Epic 10k for Legendary Or better yet, combine the tools to make another tool. 2 Uncommon for a Rare 2 Rares for an Epic 2 Epics for a Legendary

Workbench for rarity and attachments and a wallet function is what I’m hoping for. With a 1/2 day cool-down on wonder weapons and crystals etc I drop in like a noob sometimes.

This is exactly why most of us have used the TS duplication glitch to feel our stash with legendary aeither tools and flawless crystals along with gold plates and dog bones. Tier 3 contracts aren’t even worth it to grind with the sucky loot and you should be able to do more than 3 contracts in the dark aeither also.

The backpack definitely needs to be increased to at the bare minimum 15 slots, but i think 20 woukd be a perfect number. At least make a mission for you to increase it

They need to change it up, maybe not increase the rucksack slots but say you find 4 epic aether tools, that epic aether tool takes only one slot but you could hold 4 in that one slot maybe? Kinda like how some other equipment items work. Idk, they need to make some changes. It’s sooo frustrating to grind so hard in tier 3 and only get mediocre stuff. Decrease the cooldowns, make the epic and legendary stuff easier to get. Not too mention how many times I’ve lost my best loot bc the game disconnected on me.

From the tier 2 zone I've gotten multiple flawless aetherium crystals from doing the drill contracts

Best thing I did was just hang around in matches and waited to see if people made their way to red worm. I still didn’t have the upper tier nor aether schematics yet. I was PAP 2 and saw a team of 5 fighting it. Went over, help shoot a bit and just ran around in circles popping healing aura and reviving where I could. They took it down and got legendary tool schematic and that helped me for everything else

I find legendary tools pretty often. People complain about things being hard to find, but that’s kinda the point of the game. There’s also 23 other people in the you can ask if they have spare stuff. Dude gave me 3 legendary tools and 2 flawless crystals yesterday.

😂 that dude was exploiting bugs in the game to get those items, i dont think you understand that asking "23 other people" only works because they all use exploits to have unlimited resources. Also no you do not find legendary tools very often, that is some fat cap 🧢 the game is designed to drip feed low quality dopamine, and incredibly weighted drop percentages are a part of that

I don't think you need that much 😂 Both types of sigils drop at an incredible rate. Every game I get about 7 or 8 minimum for regular Aether sigils, and at least 4 for Elder Aether sigils.

i've been finding at least 1-2 a game just looting aether chests in tier 3, then i'll usually find one in the dark aether.

I can't even begin to step foot into tier 3 yet😵‍💫 unless I use my free/purchased legendary tools and 3 pack a punches. But I don't want to waste them on learning tier 3

I’ve only found one since launch in a Tier 3 chest. I’ve never got one in a Reward portal other than the Plans from the Red Worm. I don’t even look for them anymore. I just spent a week crafting them everyday and now I always have at least 4 in my Stash and 4 Flawless Crystals so I always have them. They should increase a stash size by ten or up to 25 items.

You guys make this look so easy. That’s when you know you are a master. I can’t even get in the yellow place without dying.

I like the build up and running the junk in and out of the games until I got every item and schematic. Now that I'm in the end game for season 1, I wish I could go back and experience being a whole ass noob in this game again. Camo grinds and finding my own brand of meta is fun, but polishing my skills and finding loot I can already craft isn't as amazing as the early game. "Look some NEW shiny crap here!" Doughnuts, I need you to investigate the juggernaut minigun. I was running around the map and doing my thing of reviving random players and I found the minigun on the ground. It could not be refreshed by ammo crates and it started out as grey tier. I couldn't do any testing because I had to exfil from the storm. I think there might not be much to it, but It's an interesting situation to be put in.

Was grinding tier three this morning before work. From start to finish of one game I left with 5 legendary tools. Off straight contracts! It was amazing!!

you forgot the storm caller !! there is a chance for a legendary aether tool there too as well as the harvesters orbs.

I found one on top of the big building in tier 3. Its the one with the domed lid that the raid stash contract. If you climb all the way to the top there is a toolbox there and it had a legendary aether tool.

I got 2 in back to back games running T2 cargos all match and shortly after I got the schimstic and haven't ever seen one since. 200 more contracts done and nothing but purple and pap 2.

I've only ever received one from tier 3 in the hundreds of hours I've played

You have to go to the dark ether . Only place you can consistently get them or atleast get a better chance of getting them.

@@s0.diviine he did a normal t4 sigil run and he found line 5 epic tools in the game. Legendary gear should not be guaranteed in mid-tier difficulty content. And realistically - that’s T3 right now. Elder sigils have a higher chance of dropping them but nothing is guaranteed and it shouldn’t be. If the drops were guaranteed there would be no real reason to play. Even the guaranteed schematics for the blade, plates and bone from elder contracts are sus. The best gear SHOULD be rare.

This checks out. I have several days played and have every schematic, done red worm, T4 and 5 multiple times, and I’ve seen maybe 2 legendary aether tools max in the wild. I just have to rely on crafting them

if you want a quick answer... yes tier 3 area cargo is the easiest contract to do use knifes and decoys to help with zombies if you don't have a decent weapon on hand

I didnt know this was an issue, i find one ot two every time i go tier 3 looting. Dark aether you can find some too, just pack an RGL maxed out pp/tools with a gold plate and some sentrys. Dog bone each player and you’re good. But never forget turret circuit's are your best friend when looting the areas. If call of duty would just sell us the things we want. Like being able to just buy tools and equipment in a zombies only shop they'd make a fortune but unfortunately their too cookt to cook anything right

I found one in a random loot box in zone 3 once! It is super rare. You can find them in the dark aether too with an elder sigil in rifts that's almost just as rare though.

They should make it guaranteed legendary tool or pap2 crystal drop after completing 10 contracts in tier 3 zone would help a little bit but not a whole bunch

@@TheGrey. I tried the red worm twice with a friend. We died. Tried it again two nights ago, worm buried itself in the ground, zombies stopped spawning and worm never came up even after shooting all over the ground. I REALLY want to beat him to get the Legendary Ether Tool Schematic.

I’ve seen people do the worm solo but I’ve died when I’ve gone in with less than three people- shout out in the match chat at the start of the game and try and get like 5/6 of you to do it and pop a tombstone on. Sometimes peeps may drop you stuff in prep for it especially if they’re the ones asking in chat if you wanna go do the work with them so you can pap up your gun or a golden armour plate so it’s defo worth asking just in case. I’m a casual player and I’m not good enough to do it solo but get a few of you and it’s do - able. I think the epic tool schematic is a t3 contract drop. Good luck ;)

I have found wonder weapons in loot boxes, mystery boxes and on contracts. I have not had any luck in awhile though.

I've been getting Epic tools and PAP 2 crystals from Tier 2 contracts ;but only ever one of each per game and doing at least a dozen contracts. I've been trying to figure out if doing missions as fast or as flawlessly as possible influences rewards ;but it doesn't seem to be the case. I get garbage from Tier 3 contracts. The stash is super stupid, I end up deleting stuff I need in the next game or game after and find it really frustrating. There also needs to be a reduced cooldown system like DMZ had because the cool downs are insane.

I’ve got some on zone one. Just by doing missions or finding loot. But I I’ve never gone to the second tier until recently. Hope it’s easier there.

There’s a method I use and that’s loot tool boxes in all tiers. I’ve found a Legendary tool within 5 minutes of a match starting by looting tool boxes. Also Dark Aether (Elder version) usually get a couple here and there.

Even epic tools are pretty rare usually. I think the loot need adjusted a bit. Like t2 and t3 contracts should give loot that is usable for people running t2 and t3.

2 days ago, was doing hunt contracts in tier 2 zone and got one

Im on my 9th orb in t3 and all ive had is one epic and the rest rare. Did used to get them more frequently from them. Found one in a crate yesterday but its the juggernaut drops have been insane. Had 2 in one crate, megabombs dropping them and loads in the rewards portal. Yesterday alone i was almost use one, pick it up as a reward. I had atleast 2 nearly all the time and was freely using them lol

I usually try my luck in opening the vault by killing the mercs named after chess pieces then loot and ultimately go to tier 3 but I've found everything before in tier 2

I got a Legendary wrench in a random Tier 3 Infested Stronghold last night. shocked the hell out of me!

Basically you are supposed to beat the main boss to get a schematic of one that you can use every 2 days. When most people want to run t3 with a legendary hopefully let alone the boss or t4 t5

I found 2 inside the nest in tier 3, I also found rayguns inside chest in tier3, I got my vr11 from a mega, and wonder waffle

Yesterday I got a Flawless Crystal and a Legendary Aether Tool in a small crate in Tier 2 next to a contract.

I looted 3 from containers, 4 from orbs, 2 from non-HVT Aboms, 1 from an HVT Abom, and 3 from reward rifts. From 542 deployments, maybe 300 of them which I spent time in the red zone.

and this is why I tombstone, you either have 1 or 2 really fun games every 2 days or you use tombstone to spawn them in. I have only seen 3 maybe 4 legendary tools in the normal zombie map out of all of the games I have played

Game gets boring like that

When I play in the t3 zone I always go to the hidden bins they sometimes have legendary Aether tools but only thing when I exfil with what I got in contracts and loot everything goes it don’t stay in the back pack for me I can do all game doing everything finding good loot but when I exfil everything gets deleted for some reason

They need to do the following 1. Bring back crafting station, and being able to update your weapons while in game. 2. Increase stash for both Items and weapons 3. Bring back the 3rd weapon with medium and large backpacks 4. Be able to bring out items like back packs, and vest to help regame characters 5. This is to just to name a few things here.

I think if you are a streamer or buy a lot of extras you get better rewards. I do all tier 2 and 3 contracts and the only ether tools I get are greens and blues only.

I miss when you could collect materials and upgrade your rarity at the armory stand.

I just found a legendary tool in a tier 1 contract. Couldn't believe my eyes. In 2 tier 1 contracts I got the legendary tool, large backpack, durable gas mask and a self revive.

You can run tier 3 easily with tyr's and pap 2 + epic tool it's what I do every game make sure to exfil with atleast tier 2 pap and epic tool for next game can spend whole game in tier 3 then

The only time I found a Legendary Aether Tool was in a toolbox on top of Tier 3 radio tower.

you can "glitch out" and get over 10 things in the stash using the rewards swap trick. I doesn't erase anything in your stash ever. If you get up over 80-90 things there are problems with exfiling

i actually got a legendary aether tool from tier 1 contracts and im surprised because i didnt think you can get one from that i thought it was tier 3 contracts or chest or tool boxes

I was told pre updates there were 20 legendary tools per raid. After updates it’s now 3 per raid

What frustrates me about the game, currently, is that I have extracted multiple schematics that just didn’t unlock and I don’t understand why. I extracted two flawless rock schematics and it didn’t unlock. Got the purple ether tool schematic, didn’t unlock. And since I’m still slowly doing the story chapters, with a friend, it makes the process unfun. He didn’t get credit for killing the mega bomb even though he put shots on it. Not sure if it’s tied to who killed it or what, but it’s stuff like that, the low drop rates of stuff that makes the game better that is just dumb. Need a flawless or above rock, good ether tools, etc to really go into the red and so on, but not having this stuff drop like tic tacs means you end up getting gatekept out of just having a pathway directly to the higher tiers on the regular. Maybe I don’t want to go into missions right now. Maybe I want to go screw around doing contracts and exploring and shooting big ass things in the face and feel threatened. Maybe I wanna go deeper into zones. It doesn’t matter. If I have to extract to change my stupid power, I lose chunks of stuff. Currently, neither one of us have to tools readily available to simply go in and punch some megabombs so he can finish the quest and I can tell you right now, if he doesn’t get it done relatively quickly, he’s going to drop the game. Yes, I can play the game, but he will want to play something else and that’s what we’ll do.

I agree on both points - I've stopped playing as much because of storage issues and the really crappy RNG. We should have twenty slots, and the items should still be RNG, but should scale with the zone you're in - I'm tired of killing mega abom's and getting cryofreeze and a blue aether tool, just not worth my time first of all, and more importantly, it's not worth my STUFF. Why waste a legendary tool, a flawless PaP crystal, and a bunch of perks for junk? The risk reward ratio is a mess, especially when your storage is precious - I find myself holding on to things and not playing because I don't want to risk losing them. Seems like that's opposite of what the dev's are looking for.

That being said, I feel like there isn't that much of a challenge in the base gameplay. The challenge runs are the elder dark aether and the worm fight. Other than that ... Tier 3 is not worth spending good loot on. But I don't see that as a negative of the mode

I guess the downside to me is that the ONLY thing worth playing now for me is dark aether, again, limiting my play time. I guess it comes down more to a lack of content or a messed up RNG setup - I'm playing less due to game mechanics or broken RNG, either way not a great outcome. Also, I've gone in multiple times to help other people/teams (one of my favorite aspects of the mode), but that only entertains for so long....so.... P.S. great stuff, btw, keep it up!

A way to spend points to upgrade weapon rarity would be an easier solution. The only Legendary Tool I ever found myself was from doing a Tier 2 High-Value Target contract. That is it.

Ive only been playing for 2 weeks and not constantly. Ive watched some vids but I have stayed away from any of the glitches so far just to see what the game has to offer. Just from looting tier 1 alone I have managed to find a lot of Green and blue ether tools and 2 cola schematics (these only seem to come about late in the game) but the biggest loot has come from the Orb or Ether nests where I have gotten ammo mod schematics and 1 gold ether tool....again late in the game. I have also managed to pack to tier 3 just from looting, the orb and zero contracts. That last Exfil can be a nightmare with only a single packed weapon as the timer is different and Storm callers appear too.

I understand the staying away from glitches but it took me all of 10 rounds with a 45 minute time limit to realize this game is way better. Played with a tombstone every round😂😂 especially the harder missions. Literally taking 30 35 minutes to get everything you need. Then you're stuck with 10 minutes to finish whatever. Not anymore. I go straight in and within 2 minutes. I'm knocking contracts out of zone 3. That method also just got me borealis

Ive been playing for about a month and today was rhe first day ive found a legendary aether tool in the teir 2 zone ontop of a random building

Haven't found a Leg tool in almost 5 weeks untill I watched this video and swear to God next match I literally found 2. 1 in a T2 rift and another in a big merc crate in T2 also. Crazy how I did that. Only ever found 2 from T2 cargos and played since day 1 almost every day.

if you find legendary weapon anywhere take her to pay respect and you have decent chance to get that legendary aether tool, i think it is more reliable than other tips especialy if you play in team and you can wall buy legendary weapons too

I got 2 of them last game but I haven’t gotten the Legendary Tool Schematic. Seems like the game is giving me Epic tools lately and they good but looking for the Legendary one. Specially the schematic.

If you look into things like this it's clear what is happening. For some reason game companies are using "time played" as a very important metric for shareholders. I don't know why it should be sales period lol. But because of that they do everything they can to increase your game hours. That means long cool down periods, small stash boxes and low drop rates. If it takes you multiple matches to find the items you need they can keep you playing longer without having to come up with new content nearly as often.

Yes. I got two in one game today, just grind tier 3.

The epic tool schematic is the rare one for me. Only one that's from missions that I don't have.

The golden ether tools are going to be hidden behind a pay wall, so they make them impossible to find. Unless you do the red war which is for some people hot really hard and you’ll notice that later on in the battle passes or in even in the store they’ll be like oh, you can get three or four legendary ether tools if you buy this skin so that’s basically their market for zombies.

You’re the luckiest MWZ player I ever watch man, that “streamer luck” trope is honestly real. You casually pick up stuff in tier 1 chests that I won’t pick up for 3-4 rounds even in tier 3 the whole round

First of, the lockwood shotgun is way better then the Tyr. 20 Rounds per mag, one shot kill in tier 3 with triple pack and rare / epic. Second, I agree with you. I have done houndreds of contracts in Tier 1, 2 and 3, I have done the Red Worm, I have done the Dark Ether. Still miss a lot of schematics, and I have 0 legendery eather tools in my stash. It makes me not want to play, because it seems like its no point. The drop rate for cool stuff needs to increase, the stash sack needs to be bigger. Also, it need to be a logic behind rewards. Why do I get a 3 plate vest in Tier 1 contract reward, and a Medium backpack in Tier 3? It makes no sense.

Not gonna lie. MW3 has the best in my opinion. I love how quick and easy, but still challenging it can be at times.

"People tell me that they've found aether tools in tool boxes" I remember back in mw2 DMZ I found a pistol in a fridge twice.
