After watching quite a few of your Weapon request no-hit runs and only afterwards watching this video, i must say that the techniques used for no-hit has come incredibly far. To even think you didn't use Assassin's Gambit on this run at all is truly incredible and makes me feel like this was way ahead of it's time. You are a pioneer of this category and insanely skilled at Elden Ring. Bravo.

FUN FACT: losing all of your health fighting the Grafted Scion at the start doesn't count as a death. You never actually get the "You Died" message, and you don't lose any runes. It just teleports you to the tutorial cavern. Even if your ENTIRE health bar is wiped out from its' attacks. You only "die" if you run off of a cliff before or after the fight. So a deathless Elden Ring run is technically possible!

People probably say this but grafted scion at the start technically just brings you to 1 hp, it doesn't actually *kill* you, this info doesn't come into play for a no hit run but worth mentioning at least because I keep seeing people saying it kills you when it doesn't.

Nice challenge, although I think banning spells is really lame since even if you are clearly a melee player, incantations like Golden Vow (longer than the Ash of War version) and Flame, Grant Me Strength are great for melee builds. I also don't see the point of you making that clear as a rule since you never would've used any spells with your style of play in the first place (besides maybe Rotten Breath or Dragonice like you did in a previous run). I guess doing it without spells is a lot more of an achievement? Though, doing a no-hit run with spells only could be a pretty interesting and unique challenge.

I initially was going to do the run with spells too but I found it wouldn't have been the challenge I was looking for because spells are so much stronger in this game. Right now I feel the same about all bosses no-hit, which initially I thought I was going to use spells but I am deciding not to.

Although there are barely any spell only no-hit boss runs and that is why I thought doing one with sorceries or incantations only would be quite interesting due to you and a lot of other runners mainly using melee builds with one specific melee weapon using a lot similar strategies.

I really wonder how this run would go with all the changes to the game that have been done since then.

I wish the WR runs would use the "no quit out" policy...save quitting to reset aggro in seemingly ever area of the map seems to me to be bullshit.

Hey Gino, I imagine you’ve heard about the general frustration with bosses that people have, such as the openings are too short or that the combos being extended seemingly randomly to punish your punish on their combo finishing. Wanted to hear your opinion on it considering you’re able to do this, do you find the openings to be less generous and more frustrating than past games? I felt like the bosses in DS3 were balanced really well for all weapon types but in Elden Ring I had to rely on jump attacks a lot for colossal weapons.

Also the Placidusax fight is the spectacle fight that Rykard wishes it could be…

I really appreciate the break down of the game, and this may seem harsh, but the speech pattern of not really ending sentences (in terms of tone) really bothers me. like e.g. at 5:06 "the next up on this run is to get the warrior jar shard, and this is dropped from Alexander after you kill him" which clearly ends the sentence but there's no lowered tone, so it kind of just awkwardly stops. The silence lingering as if you're going to speak more, but you don't. I imagine this has to do with recording sentences from a script which you're less familiar with doing (since you normally stream), but I don't want to assume anything. Basically, raising tone at the end of sentences bad
