@@ian2372 just because the GTR is due for a refresh doesn’t mean it’s not a beast. This car was beast in 2009 and it still is today. There’s not much, if any cars that can best what the GTR does for 113K. And with some mods, the GTR is on planet stupid. So yeah, it’s still a beast. Need a refresh, yeah but who cares. The car is an icon.

This is definitely one of those "why fix if it's not broken" kind of cars. Which i don't think its going to be holding that title for very long cause it sure needs an update.. looking forward to seeing you getting your hands on some more broncos!

Pre 2014 it was for sure a fix it before it breaks car. At least the Trans, You had some clips(cost like 50 cents when you get them) that went on some pistons in the trans that should've been put in in the first place, engineers trying to save money cutting costs in stupid places is my guess, to cause us to go to the dealer and pay 4-7k on a new trans cause they never fixed em, just replaced the whole trans. I think finally in 2021 they got all the little stuff taken care of by now, or at least you'd like to think so. lol.

So happy we got other one of these, I remember when you uploaded the 50th anniversary edition and it was truly amazing.

This car for visceral drivers only. It takes a determined, speed at all cost, style driver. Sacrifices include spartan accoutrements, harsh ride, but stunning and often frightening (in a good way) ride that can only described by one word...RIVETING.

Bad day today. But this just made it a whole lot better. Thanks Joe & Lori. Much appreciated!

Big fan of these beasts since my days stationed in Japan. Dated styling but that rear panel is unmatched with the four isolated lights. Great review...

I think I'd still buy the GT-R R35, since it just looks amazing, aggressive, and I just love this car overall. It still lives up to the hype, at least for me, and Idc how old it is. The fact that the GT-R has matured every year shows how much better and refined it has gotten over time. Now it's still very mechanical, clunky, and not totally refined like modern cars, but that's what gives it its character. The fact that it feels so old school with moderate updates shows how much of a classic it is. It's a nice aspirational car to have, and if I can afford one, I will get it~

I agree its a work of art and its not juat for everyone to buy u truly gota love this car to realy want it wanted a skyline aince playing aega gt2002 but there inpossible to get in good runnong shape almlst bought a r34 lemon in parts :/ then saw a documentry about the r35 and didnt realize it was available hear in north america and up north in canada i see the gtr once and a while :) and i might possibly be abble to own one paid in full by summer next year

Thanks for the well review Joe! It’s always good seeing my dream car. I understand for the cost there is better value out there, but the GTR made a huge impact and ultimately got me into cars. Nissan knows their consumers are suckers for nostalgia which I think is where they justify some of the dated tech and mechanical components. Still I would daily drive this until several hundred thousand miles!

great review. just saw one parked down my street while walking. it was all black maybe a 2017 and gorgeous. I had a double-take look when I saw the GT with the red R on the back.

Car is great for the pure sport car enthusiast. But I believe Nissan is milking this old age GTR the same way they are doing with the Z. The materials and design element haven't changes in 13 years. Wish these manufactures would actually put more effort into their cars instead of just raising the price year after year for a 5hp increase.

Look at the BMW M3/M4. Classic E46 N/A i6 S54 CSL, then the beautiful E9X M3 with the glorious S65 N/A V8. Then they moved to the M3/M4 F8X with a S55 Turbo i6, and now the hideous M3/M4 G8X with a S58 Turbo i6. Sometimes sticking with a perfected old school design is much more desirable than chasing crappy new tech made with cheap plastic. Sports Cars aren't like cell phones. Porsche Macan Turbo has an Audi engine in the 2.9L Turbo V6. Just why?

nissan been lacking on updates. i see so many of nissans on the roads probably cause they know is hard to push these cars out, so they giving good deals. just stick with Mazda. Mazda been a game changer the last two years and you can tell honda and toyota had to follow through with updates as well.

Got mine in white last week. The car pulls like crazy. In person the car looks unreal. Pulls from 120 to 250kmh like a beast. Still using it in COMF mode

I Always use COMF mode, the R is only for perfect asphalt and in the street is far away from perfect, so in the street it has more gripo with COMF mode than the another modes

Skylines have been in USA since the early 2000s but branded as Infiniti G series cars... but the GTR R35 it´s a new car since this gen, in the older gens it was a top trim sports model

No cop has ever caught me in my redeye. I also have a license plate concealer as well. So when I fly by a cop I just press a button and the plate flips over and displays “Fuck the Police” .
