Rutger Bregman is a Dutch academic who’s latest book Humankind: A Hopeful History has been super controversial.
He proposes that if we thought better of those around us, society would be in a much better place.
He is a champion for equality across cultures, with a host of ideas on how to achieve it… Universal basic income, a four day work week, and open international borders to name a few.
He found fame after going viral for slapping down a room full of economists at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where he criticised the event for focussing on philanthropy rather than tax evasion.
