One thing I'm excited about is to see Jack meeting his little baby sister for the first time and to see his reaction. Good luck you guys and please keep us up to date. You have people excited for you ALL OVER the world.

I know one thing for sure… Baby Girl is going to have a wonderful mommy & daddy! You both are extremely loving and you’re very patient with each other. I actually have a machine that can make frozen fruit ice cream that’s only fruit it’s called a yonanas If you get one I’d recommend the deluxe one because it’s a lot quieter

All women are & have been since the beginning of time! It is no Joke carrying a child & we won't even discuss the birth process! From labor, surprise C-Section's to sometimes unexpected early birth's etc. We women are STRONG! & yes, brave to have said children when we BASICALLY are putting our bodies through some challenges & live to tell the story!of course to have that sweet pea in our arms to hold & love & care for is the sweetest gift REWARD to us for said Diligence ! After my first baby and the emergency c section. and experiencing huge complications that could of killed me....I was only 20 years old and still never once doubted myself or my body to protect my baby and do what we needed to do with our question. Like it was all just instinct to do anything necessary to help my baby. I was also a single mom then and was sent home after 8 days in hospital after C-Section and I had brain swelling/leaking spinal fluid and a bad infection. It was all so ungodly painful- I was not supposed to stand or do anything by lay completely flat on my back for the next month!!! And for 10 weeks I couldn’t drive/ or do anything at all strenuous. And the dr even said only go on rides in a vehicle to necessities like doctors appts. Nothing more. Now I was home alone with a newborn, (her dad walked out n disappeared right after birth )my own parents were elderly. So it fell on me. I never even remember being sad or thinking I couldn’t do what ever I had to for my baby. I was only mad I couldn’t breast feed due to my health problems caused completely by dr error. But I had to literally crawl from my bed to the kitchen on my knees and face/head dow to my chest every 2-3 hours to make a bottle! I had to change her, bath her everything alone and in pain I can only describe as worse than my 26 hrs In labor trying to push her out I successfully. But I only remember being so happy and in love with her. I was so excited to be her mom. Now I’m 39 and I can not even imagine any woman doing what I did alone and definitely not at 20 lol but we women and mothers are MFing superhero’s!!!!!

LOL! Derik made us laugh along with him trying to stall Sarah for her shower. Fun times while prepping for the baaaby sissta! Don't forget, when the baby gets here, people will bring gifts for her, so you need a couple of spare gifts for Jack, on hand, so he doesn't feel left out.

Every night when I put the baby to bed I check to see if there's any baby news. You are the only family vloggers I watch, you all just seem so real and nice. Anyway, I can't wait to see the little girl. I finally got mine after my kids grew up. Good luck. When I had Flora I had my reg appt and they wouldn't let me leave, I remember being devastated and so not ready, but I had her 12 hours later and now she is 14mos and the love of my life.

Exactly a week later the same thing happened, she got in the shower & we could barely get her dressed to take her to the hospital. Sarah, it’s usually a lil easier the second time. You guys got this! I can't wait for this little one to arrive 😍 !! Just to let you know it is traditional to give a baby shower for someone's first baby. 👶 After that it is assumed that you have all of the big expensive items you need. If you are given a second baby shower you are a very lucky, loved, and blessed individual. 💖 Sara I feel for you not knowing if the contractions are real or not. I also have a high tolerance for pain. When I had my second son I kept dreaming that I was going to go into labor during a huge snowstorm and I wouldn't be able to get to the hospital. Well we did have a huge snow storm for Illinois. My husband had been plowing snow for almost 36 hours, and I had contractions for about 12 hours but they never really got down to 4 minutes apart. But we went to the hospital. The place was packed full of pregnant women and I sat in a wheelchair because they had no empty beds and 2-3 women getting very close to delivering. I was starting to have some really strong contractions at this point. Aftere about 4 hours sitting in the hall and telling nurses that I was really needing someone to check me I finally got someone to listen. She said we have no empty beds, and I said then you better check me in a bathroom...... she finally did and she freaked out and said I was dilated to atleast a 5 or 6 and my water still hadn't broken. Next thing I knew she was taking someone who had stalled in her labor out of bed and throwing sheets on the bed as fast as she could. My son was born 47 minutes later. After the delivery that nurse came into my room and apologized for not listening to me earlier. Then she asked me how I had been so calm sitting in the hallway. And I told her that because they had no beds open I just kept telling myself that I probably wasn't in labor and was probably going to be sent home. Let me tell you that your mind can block out amazing things if you believe ttheir is nothing different you can do about a situation. I was so far along in the delivery that I was unable to take anything for the pain because it would harm the baby. So don't feel silly about not knowing if it's the real thing or not. The truth is that most women are sent home from the hospital 1.8 times before they are actually in labor.

Maybe this will help: it seems like Sarah had contractions when she was in stressful cleaning mode or an activity like the bike riding. I’d suggest bed rest with little to no activity. Also, thank you for sharing your joys with us.💕

Poor Sarah this is the hardest part of pregnancy when you’re exhausted and anxious and scared and you know that labour is coming soon and how difficult that can be…it’s a lot physically for women but it’s even more a lot emotionally.You’re doing so great Sarah though and pretty soon you’ll be holding your baby girl and these past months and the labour with all have been worth it. You did it for Jack & you can do it for baby girl too. Just rest as much as you can. Derek is great and I’m sure he’ll help do anything you want done. Every woman is incredibly nervous & a bit scared when they get to this point but you’re gonna do great and I bet it’ll go much better this time around than it did with Jack during which you were dealing with so many other things at the same time & it was your first baby. I’m just sorry you got sick but hopefully you’ll be completely recovered from that by the time baby is ready to come. You and Derek are such great parents and this baby girl is already so blessed to be apart of such a loving family. You’re going to have so much fun together. Hang in there a little bit longer. You’ve got this & Derek & Lauren will continue supporting you through it.Hope you enjoyed your baby shower.Thinking of you and continuing to pray for a short (but not too short) labour and a safe delivery for both mom & baby girl and as painless as possible. FIRSTTTT!!!!

I had early labor for WEEKS. It was rough and felt like a mental game of 'is this it?' for literal weeks. It's exhausting but you're almost there!! It prepared my for an extremely quick active labor of 2.5 hours. Your body knows what to do and is preparing! Our bodies are amazing.

The waiting is the worst, then it's like Christmas getting the best gift ever! Hope you have a healthy beautiful little girl.
