I think she's got a very good point, and that "etiquette expert" needs to start living in the modern world

Modern world is quickly turning to a ********.
When I lived in the US, it was normalised to go to Walmart in your pj bottoms lol 🤷🏻♀️ it’s not like anybody’s wearing silk pjs with fluffy slippers

Apart from that one guy pushing the cart with his tent in it and much other junk, who keeps throwing faeces at journalists
I sometimes go out in my onesie to the shops if it's a cold day
It's just about how you present yourself, seeing how we are social animals after all. You don't need to dress nice, you don't need to do your hair, you don't even need to shower or wash your clothes, BUT it is expected of you to do so if you want to receive a certain level of respect from others. I get not having time to look extra nice, so maybe putting on just a hoodie and sweatpants, but to leave your house in your PJ's just signals laziness and lack of self-respect.
With pajama bottoms I think it's more a question of tackiness than modesty. As long as the pajama pants are not full of giant holes where everyone can see your undies and your "bits", I don't think it's a big deal to wear them in a casual public place like a park or the grocery store. Is it tacky though? Yes 💯. And by the way, this mom looks great in her "loungewear"
Being from Darlington I know the school that did this and when this came about I was in college. The running meme was bananas in pyjamas in prison in darlo 😂😂😂
short answer YES❤
This was a good conversation! I def. agree with the girl though, it’s cute. Just have a pair for street wear.
Never acceptable to wear pyjamas in public. Hotel buffet is taking it way too far.
People shouldn’t be judgmental. The majority IS judgmental. Does that make being judgmental ok? No. On this basis, should I give in to their judgments and conform to their standards? No. I feel like those who conform to others standards are the same ones judging people.

No people need to be judgemental. We need to shame certain behaviours out of society.

Those nice lacy ones you get from the section of that little shop with the videos where people are hugging and wearing what looks like zip up balaclavas! In fact that's the shop and the section in which you should get all your attire for school-related events. Cut a dash iat parents evening with zip up hats and corsetry in leather. If you are a DUDE you want to dressed like House Harkonen from the original Dune. Also if Children's Books have taught us anything, teachers like corporal punishment and booze. So get them a nice electric cattle prod and a bottle of single malt.
Me personally, I couldn't do it. I don't even wear yoga pants out and about, but if someone else wants to, it wouldn't bother me. Who tf am to tell some random stranger what to wear to make me feel comfortable? Ppl are way too entitled nowadays. Ppl should try this thing called mind your business.

Telling someone what to do is not the same as judging them for their actions. The former is unacceptable, but the latter is to be expected in a society, because making assumptions about others based on their appearance is how we survive as a specie. How someone carries themselves tells a lot about them, so I would probably just avoid them, not tell them what they can or can't do.
The etiquette expert has clearly never had young children. Mornings can be hectic with kids

No need to be glamorous but need to be clean ! Get in the shower!
Well I see American celebrities walking on the streets in their pyjamas all the time. It never seems to be a problem if this happens in the US. But why people seems have different standards in UK?
Height of pure laziness
She’s selfish how old is she grew up
What is happening to this world, people? Is it now fashionable to look like a homeless person on the street? Don't these people work? Don't they socialize? Don't they maintain normal social relations? I'm from the days when sleepwear was sleepwear. Leaving the house you should AT LEAST look like a normal person. This lazy generation is really changing the world: FOR THE WORSE!!!!
