    Is the m1 good for beginners?🤔 We think so!😃 You don't have to use the settings at the beginning. The m1 comes with 3.7mm stroke, 90Hz and mode +0. This is a good common setting to start with. You can't do much wrong with it in the beginning and just use it like a normal machine. With more experience you can adjust the m1 to your needs🤘

    It DEFINITELY brought my skill to another level, that 3.7 is EXACTLY the thing i needed. I own a sol nova pen with a 3.5, and a cnc with a 4.2... Sol nova is really great, and probably one of the best machines out there, cnc is a bit aggressive for my taste and i kind of was struggling with thise to. Yes im aware that its all in the feel but i find m1 to be the perfect mix of both... It lines effortlessly, and its smooth without any adjustments. Acusm1 did spotles job on this one and that round design is spotles, i also have an angeld work station, but i allways use a pen holder while i work. So, yeah, there's that.

    Hi man, brilliant video btw. I m following you frequently and thumbs up. This machine has got kind of good opinions now, but the same was with bishop wand shader packer and liner. Now-I invested kind a lot of money to inkjecta flite nano then bishop wand shader, I m not sponsored by nobody… but what would you recommend-bishop packer or m1? As I really need better stroke machine and I can buy only one of those machines. Many thanks.

    Neither. I’d go with something that had either a 3.5 or a 4.0 stroke as an all rounder. 5.0 is great for line-work but there are limitations to such a long stroke length. Generally the membrane tension of a cart is designed to work with machines that have a 3.5-4.0 stroke.

    So I if you have it set on the 4.5 the fat lines won’t be an issue. I ended up settling on the 3.7 cam running it on M+2 and around 100-110 hertz and it pushed a 21 open line with no problems.

    It’s a great machine yes, but I think a beginner should go for something that’s simpler and something that suits the budget of a beginner/apprentice. Once they are proficient with using a simpler machine, something like a direct drive rotary or a combination of coil and direct drive then they can move on to something like an acus m1. Having all the different options and modes is fantastic but if you don’t know what you are doing it can distract a beginner. They could become focused on swapping the modes and cams rather than just concentrating on the technique of tattooing. once they are confident and ready to move up this machine is a great choice. They would have a better understanding of tattooing and machines, which would allow them to get the most out of the acus m1. Mode wise I would say that +2 feels more like some of the brushless direct drives that are out there today. I would personally advise anyone to start at +2 and then work their way back. Also 4mm stroke please 🤪 Someone with experience will get a lot out of this machine though. Great job with the overall design and presentation of it.

    Please review flux max 3.2, i own a cheyenne unltd 4.0 and looking to get a wireless machine for smooth shading and not sure what to get.. was thinking of the stigma force 2.8

  • @ThatTattooShow

    @ThatTattooShow

    Жыл бұрын

    The flux max 3.2 is going to be almost exactly the same as the exo 3.2 it has the same motor and drive bar system. The difference between the flux max and the standard flux or exo is the power bolt upgrade that has a screen on it. The thread is longer which is needed and the grip has a different shape. Wireless machines that I have used for smooth shading that I would recommend are… Power wand shader, Exo 2.5 or 3.2 (you could go with the flux max 3.2 as it’s basically the same), Acus m1 with the 3.0mm cam installed, I will be reviewing the flux max but it’s the 4.5mm one.

    If that’s the stroke length you feel comfortable with right now then stick to that. But being a beginner it’s hard to have a point of reference to give any informed opinion. Like I thought my Mickey Sharpz cut back liner was the best thing ever when I first started. As I progressed and became more experienced so did my opinion of machines. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautifully designed machine but it’s not going to be for everyone. Just like every other machine on the market. :)

    A good machine can increase your productivity yes. Can it improve your tattooing? That’s debatable. The ability to change the cams on the machine is great and it’s something that should be on all wireless tattoo machines, as it goes back to what we can already do with many machines. So that doesn’t really make it a “game changer” honestly I don’t this there is a game changer with any machines it’s just improvements on what already exists. Like I said it’s a nice machine, well engineered and many people will like it. It’s not going to be for everyone, just like lots of other machines aren’t for everyone.

    While the machine can do what 3 or 4 machines can do on its own, it’s completely impractical to continually change the cam throughout a tattoo session. Having to open it all up while it’s contaminated will only lead to potential contamination of the machine and just waste time during a session.

    Beginners, give yourself a few years to work up to machines in this pedigree, you won’t even be able to appreciate the higher end. We all started by driving a beater, don’t rob yourself of that opportunity. There are so many great CHEAP options, the fundamental mechanics of all of these machines are the same. Once you have had a few “beaters” you’ve probably saved a couple bucks that you can invest in yourself and feel proud. @@thesuperkingerik Yes, I know... When you advertise a brand or are given review material, I think it's hard to be fully honest. This machine is great and you can also draw lines of good size but with a little experience and commitment. Maybe I'm too demanding, I can not compare it to a cheyenne 5.0 or bishop wand liner for the side dishes but I thought to approach. I have spoken to several acus owners and they have often given me feedback similar to mine. I'll give you an example: I bought an ava gt Wireless ep09... I find it very similar but it costs much, much less. The stroke is fixed 4.2 but has an electronic adjustment for lines and shades

    I guess it's simply down to the wrong technique. The M1 is very precise and you have to know what you are doing. If you try all the machines and don't like anything 100%, then it's not the machines. Because good artists can conjure up good works of art with all machines. I don't believe that a luminary like LilB is not honest. He is always quick to say that. He doesn't need to be. You can believe it.

    In time they will. They are a small start up company and there’s only two of them at the moment. We all just have to be a bit patient.

    Are you saying that you have the acus M1 and the drive bar had wore down? If so have you considered contacting them directly?
