Is Identifying Succulents Important? Grower Interview: Mr Chuck Cerrillo of Cerriscapades 🌱🎙👨🦱
Hey everyone! A week ago I got the privilege of interviewing Mr Chuck Cerrillo of Cerriscapades, when we were still in quarantine. Talking to him and learning about the time when he started growing succulents taught me a lot, especially about the importance of properly identifying plants, learning through trial and error and the difference of planting in pots vs. the ground.

Yes! Your really have to see some of these things to understand. Especially the vine weevils, as we don't have them in our country... 😆😆😆

Thanks for this video. It is truly important to identify your succulent, just too bad suppliers don't sell the plants with their proper lable (most of the time). It is rather easy to distinguish an Eonium from an Echeveria, but is less easy to distinguish an Echeveria from a Graptopetalum, Sedum or Pachyphytum. That's a subject that deserves a video of its own.

I know right? Placing the right ID would drastically reduce guesswork on the part of the buyer... These plants may look alike but they're very different, especially with the care they need.
