Glad you did this one. I watched one of the draft shows that talked about him. They showed a dozen or so plays and I was left scratching my head, thinking if those were “highlights”, I don’t want him. Every pass was off and the receivers had to make an adjustment on every ball. Several of the plays appeared to me as trouble at the next level. Had he faced some better, more experienced DB’s many throws would have been picked.

Great video breakdown. Opened my eyes to many traits he has. Still think he is a 3rd round or 4th round QB to develop.

not a fan of any of these QBs in the draft, Raiders should focus on defense and protection. Your videos are always Excellent!

As far as his Game he has the tools plus the winning mentality. Team captain, good arm, ability to scramble for extra yards. He's big too. He's the #3 best QB in the draft. Hendon Hooker was a winner and the Heisman until injury. You can teach him in a pro style system. He doesn't have to start right away. McDaniels offense isn't built on the deep ball.

It sounds like you're not sold on the guy; and after this breakdown I'm not sure I am anymore either. Would you mind doing a Jake Haener break down as well? The Raiders are definitely drafting a QB in this year's draft, the question is just who? and when?

Ouch. I feel the same. I just thew out a scenario on if we were to trade back and get Gonzalez or Weatherspoon in the first, and Hooker in the second round (only if the first round trade back deal involves a high second round pick). I don't know about that now.

He reminds me of Teddy Bridgewater, an intermediate passer who can run when needed. No big ceiling especially with his age, I'm hard passing on him.

I wanted him months back now I'd rather go defense for the first 3 picks, take a QB day 3 & just be prepared to go all in on QB & trade up next year with a more complete roster

My concern with Hooker is his age. I did not know he was already 25. He should be further along with his accuracy. And his arm strength should be better. My concern is, how high is his ceiling vs. where his floor is right now. I do think his deep ball was better this past off-season and vs the other top QBs, he did beat them. Maybe not Stroud?!?! I don't know if they played?!?

Your a legend bro… great fair player analysis as always..I think it’s ok to take a flyer pick on a player who accolades name and stats stand out. But it’s always a privilege to find out the data within the fore mentioned stats to truthfully see if the popular pick is worth it. Your videos does that type of justice.

He's the third best QB in the class when it comes to skill, I think that's almost inarguable at this point. Richardson still has a very long way to go and Levis doesn't do anything better than Hooker. Him being 25 and coming off a torn ACL drops him down to QB5 though. Richardson deserves to go ahead of him regardless for obvious reasons but Levis? All Hooker needs to be drafted above him is to be a couple years younger lol

Carl good break down. He’s about 50/50 to me. He had just as much bad as good. Fumbling is never a good thing to do. I like his red zone efficiency and that he can run when he needs to, but I am on the fence with Hooker. I mean he overthrows alot on deep passes but is spot on when he throws midrange passes. I seriously hope McDaniels and Ziegler have a full proof plan because this is starting to make me stress out. Either way I want good draft picks and potentially some good players traded if we choose to do that. LFG RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!
