The reason why his hair is like that and why his verses in the song don't sound refined is because he recorded this song over three years ago and he filmed the music video damn near two years ago. His rapping skills have vastly improved since then. Should he have rerecorded it with his present day skill and technique? Yes. Does it still bang? Yes.
