Exactly. Agree to this comment very much. It is also very uneasy to see Xiaxue being so biased in this interview (although it’s expected since they are close friends). Victim shaming is one thing, but to twist the story to even try and justify it as victim shaming is another. It disgusts me to hear about how they talk about whether the boys were seeking fame and it’s ok if they turn out famous, like come on.

I know there will be some "mentally challenged" ppl who will say "she did not defend deekosh" . that's because your brain is underdeveloped. She gives deekosh a platform to gather sympathy. to tell "his" side of the story. Which is ofcos all bullshit. not just holy shit but the holiest of shit. Far from the the police investigation. Dee kosh is not the victim. he is a grown adult grooming young boys with money to fuck them. His favorite are virgin boys.

According to Dee Kosh himself, he did deliberately solicit paid sex from a known 17 years old and from a supposedly unknown 15 years old, the latter from which he didn't explicitly withdraw his offer either. By the legal standards, he is absolutely guilty. In his 3 mins video extract, he claims to not be guilty of "all" the sins he was charged for. And it wasn't just a casual minor mistake, either. This isn't jaywalking. (But not murder either lah)

He did not claim that he is NOT guilty by legal standards. He admitted to his actions and even though he was distraught, he accepted the sentence he received and have went through it. He was referring to how the media wrote about his charges, especially with the headlines that misled the public into thinking he was a pedophile, he had sex with minors, he has been paying minors to have sex with him. With such unclarity in the media (little to no effort on the media's part to rectify btw), this also perpetuates assumptions/inference that: 1. He knew they were minors 2. He knew this was illegal but still did it 3. He has been doing this repeatedly 1-3 were not true. As he shared in the video, the moment he found out he was speaking to a minor, he wanted to retract his offer. I think that his points are valid with respect to WHAT THE MEDIA PUBLISHED and not to be interpreted as "he did not claim to be guilty of all his sins that he was legally charged for". Undoubtedly, his actions are serious, which he has already owned up and paid for them. As such, I don't think he regarded it as a "minor mistake" akin to jaywalking. If he was treating his actions casually, I believe he would have created his own KZread channel (somehow, maybe under a different but simliar alias) to justify himself and ask people to bury the hatchet. But as he stated in another podcast, he does not have any intention to fight KZread and just accepts how things have became, especially in terms of his losses.

In the first place, Deekosh with his status should have never offered money to these young boys. Imagine, they are probably students, being unemployed. Such a sum of money would definitely be tempting for them. Plus, there's the hormones, they are probably more driven by hormones rather than logical thinking, and it's with a popular influencer, further giving them an "opportunity" to be famous. Honestly, it was a mistake made by thinking with your dick rather than your head. There's something about Xiaxue's perspective towards the term "victim" being used that made me ponder. You can also not be the victim at the point of time when the deed is being done but realise you're a victim afterwards. It's similar to a child getting molested by their weird uncle when they are young but suffer the mental trauma as they get older and truly understand what the heck just happened. However, these boys aren't dumb, who is to question their true motives as well, there's strength in numbers after all.

Money for their body, but she didn't think into mind the target's age, state of mind, financial status, social status, that's so many factors to think about. "Where is the hurt when he offered money?", applying to those boys who actually went on to do the deed with Deekosh. You cannot say that, it triggered me so much. You're telling me someone offered you $2000, being a dumbass student in your daily/weekly allowance situation wouldn't jump on that opportunity (without properly thinking of the full consequences), plus it's with a big influencer at that time. When the person reaches a state of maturity, wouldn't there be a slight possibility of sudden self-awareness of what really happened. This is a very public case of sexual assault. Having framed his wrongs as an honest mistake and that he simply didnt know the ages of the boys, he is not taking ownership of the harm and trauma he has caused for the victims. Arguing that the victims were paid for the sex act is not enough to even partly justify what was done! There is a reason why sexual activities with minors EVEN IF they had "consented" is illegal. As adults, it is our responsibility to ensure our children and the vulnerable members of our society are safe. Dee's return to social media is a very public one that shows what present or future perpetrators what they can do, to either shirk from ownership of what they have done, or to acknolwedge the harm they have inflicted onto the victims.

For Dee Kosh, his whole career was in the public eye, as a personality etc, this is all he has ever known how to do, tbh, I’m not a fan of him either but I can see why he would still put himself out there and refuse to “retire” from social media, this is all he knows. I rmb very clearly their statements tho, they just clarified that their relationship and interactions with Dee had always been professional and that he never tried anything with them. Also one of them, Ben, had to clarify because there were meme photos that they took for a skit/as characters and people were saying that those photos were proof that he slept with his talents. I even rmb Xin De said that Dee would tell his side of the story when he was ready etc blabla, it sounded like they asked him first before posting those statements. I agree with you tho, on RSB, the shade lol, but the OG boys, Xin De, Ben, Hamza, Shisong even, I felt that they handed it well. They didn’t do the same thing as the Kheng siblings. After watching the whole video, I am able to accept Dee's explaination that there is no malicious/ perverse intent for most of the charges, and that it was an honest mistake that he made. However, I dont really buy his reason for illegally filming his "interaction" with the alleged rape victim. Dee said he filmed because the guy is sus??? It feels like he came up with this reason post hoc, given that the video eventually exonerated him of rape allegations...

What I truly cannot understand after watching this whole video is why Dee Kosh would still continue to be sooo sexually explicit with his life after this whole episode. Even post saga, he talks about paying for sex, and f-ing people soo explicitly - it's like its a part of his life that he is very proud and unashamed of. Does he have any shame, really? Even if he doesn't think of himself, he should at least think for his parents - whom he has said were deeply hurt by what happened. Which mother would be happy to know that her son constantly goes around talking about f-ing people, especially after being implicated in such a dramatic criminal case. I think dee may not be a pedo but he may like boys around their late teens to early 20s, which is still gross to me considering he's approaching his 30s. Dee kosh tried to silenced the boys by threatening a defamation suit and even sent a cease and desist. They are victims of his threats. He was a celebrity while the kids are just nobodys.

They argued that he needed to be punished more harshly because he: - posted an image of the 17 year old online asking if anyone knew his contact. - was aware he was 17 before he propositioned him for commercial sex. - asked to move the convo to Snapchat from whatsapp so the convo can be deleted. Prosecutor argued he used his influence as DJ and social media star to purposely contact the victim and then knowingly propositioned him for paid sex despite knowing he is under 18. The convo move to Snapchat suggested he knew it was illegal and he wanted to hide his convo. Ironically if he had not offered money in return for sex I don't think it would have been a chargeable offence. Honestly, he broke the law and did his time which is great. But idk why people expect we give him the same energy we do to those who commit sexual assault.

Yeah for survivors its quite frustrating because it muddies the water. Its already so hard to prove and the onus is on the victim. With ppl just using the term cladestinely you are then even less likely to be believed.

Well in Grindr you also do not need to pay for sex but the only problem is that it’s way more difficult for him to hook up with a willing person of his skin color (no offense intended) and killing his chances by being fat. Being famous or so-called influencers are indeed double-edged sword. One could argue that you do get more of the up sides than the down sides, but one can't deny that you get some of the down sides too, in a greater degree compare to someone who aren't famous. Everyone has their vices and being famous sometimes could lead to a worse outcome. I feel for Dee Kosh all the way, especially given that he has paid for his crimes.

No way so many made police report just to discredit you. You know what you have done very well. Although you have a long way to go, trying to make yourself less guilty will backfired. Learned from your mistake, admit it and move on to other career if you cannot restart in the entertainment circle. Dont make another wrong move by trying to prove your innocence and make other victim/s which have not spoken out.
