If you are in Guatemala, you can't miss out on Lake Atitlan! One of the most beautiful places I have ever been to! A must-do when in Guatemala: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKVl2raQZ7qspto.html 💯
Other zones that you should visit are zones 14, 15, and 16 like ciudad Cayala. Check the the giant map of Guatemala is the only one of its kind in the world. Great video!

I am glad that you are visiting Guatemala city and reminding people that danger is present in all major cities and people should never surrender their common sense. Guatemala city is greatly under rated and Thank you for doing something about changing that perspective.

Wow great video! Guatemala City is really underated.
Hello, I'm a digital nomad currently living here in Guatemala city Zona 4 . I Couldn't agree with this video more as I've been to each region mentioned. Guatemala city deserves a lot more credit as it is really a gem.

I’m glad you didn’t skip Guate city like a lot of tourists do. You took the words out of my mouth, Guate is just like any other country. There are places you don’t go , and keep your guard up . I went to Guate in march , and spent time in the city, had no problems .
You missed ciudad Cayalá, zone 16. Missed zone 15, Vista 15 restaurant, spindle top.
4:20 I hope that you don't get me wrong, I love that you enjoyed our country, maybe next time you can try Guatemalan food. Thought all that food you mentioned is delicious and it is made in Guatemala isn't Guatemalan. 😊

Nice, concise and fun description. Guatemala city is (like you mentioned about Zone 4 and) growing its cosmopolitan vibes and as a Central American top city (between Mexico City and Cartagena Colombia) and will be a top Latin American destination in the next few years, Ciudad Cayala and Zones 14, 15, 16 and suburbs such as Mixco, Fraijanes, San Lucas, Xenacoj, San Cristobal, Pinula and Carretera a El Salvador areas are really looking like some places in Miami or San Diego (I live in the Lagunas in Orange County 🇺🇸) Loved your videos. 😊

Totally agree with you, I tell friends that want to visit not to go straight to Antigua as most people do, if time allows it spend a day in the city I promise them they won't regret it.

I had to visit Los Angeles , San Francisco ,Chicago, New York City and Seattle,sorry but Guatemala is more safer those cities
Guatemala city is by far one of the most underrated cities in latin america

Guatemala City is underrated. I was really quite surprised. It's much better than I had anticipated, specially the safer areas of town. Just know where to go and what parts to avoid, just like you would in any major big city, use normal common - sense safety. She is right. Lots to see and do, there's much more than meets the eye. Worth visiting.

What do apartments go for in Guatemala City for a studio or 1 bedroom furnished. Nothing fancy just basic?
@AlikiTravelBlog
10 ай бұрын
Well this very depends on the area you staying at. The Zone 10 that I think is one of the best ones for expats and also not the most expensive one - I would say a nice apartment, less than $1000, but probably something basic could be as low as $500-600 per month...but thats from my experience..I haven't looked much at property/long term rental prices.

What currency should we bring when we visit Guatemala? The actual currency or USD?
@AlikiTravelBlog
2 ай бұрын
No, they have their own currency - Quetzal. In very touristic places they might accept USD but I would definitely prepare some GTQ for the trip 😉

I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Mrs Kathy lien.
There are zones that are safer than other ones, by example, zone 10, 14, parts of zone 9, zone 4, zone 1, zone 2 and zone 13
