To be honest, in the past I’ve found a lot of your content to be generic. But this take is right on the money. Great insight!

But what about content marketing? I think that's what more people are concerned about, if Google is giving information that users are looking for directly on search, what drives them to your site for you to further upsell

It's already impacting content marketing. There's no need to click through for tons of searches now. However, I find that if you focus on topics that require further reading in most cases, you can improve CTR.

I wish to begin my journey as a blogger and I want to know if it's still worth it with the insane update Google

Yeah Search Generative Experience (SGE). The funny thing is even AIs need the Human Ingenuity. No matter how advanced AI becomes they can't completelty replace humans. Even if they do it's our duty to keep things human powered the catch is AI is just a tool not a replacement for humans.

I don't want to see results, I want to see the seven best bikes for me given my details. Which means I will never need to go to another website again or look at another ad. The future is AI bias with invisible ads or subscription levels for just the answers.

Google's search capability is not an actual search any more it is basically a 'you might like what these other people like' ad generator. Try to look for something specific, I bet you won't find it!

@@jamesmay5088 I mean as Neil mentioned that there is an additional layer of SEO practice these days on the top of old layer of SEO practice to develop an effective strategy . So as a beginner in this field, I need to learn both of the layers to be competitive in the market. Hence my learning curve becomes very steep.

I think SEO will not work for those who will not show up in Chatgpt, Bard etc as I have not used Google Search for 2 months now as I only search on those new AI tools. Now the question is, how much content do you need to make it to Bard, etc top generated results? 10 blog posts a month? This has to be discussed seriously now as people use more GenAi tools as their search engine.
