I'd written this for someone else... but... here's my abbreviated cliff-notes summary for you: - 2019-2020 - Ryan Upchurch was the absolute king of country rap... independent monster, worked with everyone Jelly Roll, luke combs, Adam, Colt Ford, Struggle, everyone... even Tom - Fast forward a few years... church's success is waning... - Jelly is world famous - Tom is famous, and every track he drops goes viral in a way that Church hasn't seen himself in years... - Adam retires from hip hop - Church and Brianna (Struggle Jennings’ daughter) break up - Adam comes out of retirement for one last album... "The Brave 2" with Tom.... - church goes off the rails.... talking shit on social on everyone.... including Tom.... some really weird videos where he just mumbles and talks to the camera... he deletes many of them shortly after posting... there's chatter that he's deep in drugs. - church deletes "Travelers" Featuring Struggle & Tom from his youtube channel - more social shit talk from Church... still deleting - Tom releases his "Surprise music video" black friday sale promo, featuring his previously album-only track "Bite My Tongue"... it just about perfectly describes this situation (coincidence?) It's worth a listen, but it's not the full song - more social shit talk from Church... still deleting many (all?) of them - Tom announces his new video, with Ben Shapiro... - Church posts a warning directly to tom... telling him get his notebook, he's coming for him... this one isn't deleted - Tom drops "Facts"... goes viral (17 Million views) - Church drops his Diss track on Tom “Why Boys” (which to this day still hasn't hit 700k views).... - Church releases his new album a week later (but nooooo, he's not clout chasing.) - Tom, takes the high road and doesn't respond... just like he has repeatedly said he wouldn't. - Adam drives from Chicago to Nashville in a snowstorm to talk to Church, tells him to call tom and talk like men, sort it out... cause Tom wont respond and they should all be united. - Church, frustrated makes more odd videos about tom... mumbling and stuff... some really absurd lies, and claims... Tom has a manager, Tom has a PR team, Tom works for a major label, etc - Church drops a bunch of lies about reactors who didn't like his diss track on tom - one of them, FlawdTV takes personal offense and drops a diss track on Church.... "Intervention" pleading with Church to get help for his drug problem - Church posts a video making fun of Flawd's girl... and claims it's a response, but doesn't respond with a track... his fans claiming that it would just give Flawd clout (oblivious to that being the exact reason Tom didn't respond) - Church then starts talking in his videos about Adam... claiming he only went after tom to get at adam. claiming adam has been backstabbing and scheming for years - Reactors are going nuts... like its a soap opera... talking about Tom, Ryan, Adam, Flawd... the coverage is actually insane and obsessive... some of them doing 4, 5 hour live streams discussing it - Struggle drops "Twisted" (is it about ryan?) - Adam releases a video "my friend" where he explains that Ryan is his friend, this isnt a game, he's not dissing ryan, wouldn't diss ryan and if ryan ever needs him, he'll be there for him... - Reactors/church fans say he's lying, that he's got toms back and turned on his "friend" - The next day he drops his track “Shook Ones Remix” -- i missed things i'm sure... and I know that Creek Squad will have a different take on it... but that's the basics. NOW... add "God Mode" Tom makes many references to the entire beef, to the things Church and his fans said about him (Canadian, the major labels are secretly helping him, he was never poor, doubting his success, he's a satan worshipper, etc) and you have the full story.
