Is GMB Elements Right for You?

I've been through GMB's Elements program a few times, and I've posted videos about it off and on for the last 3-4 years.
One of the questions people ask me is if GMB Elements is for them, do I want to tell y'all all about this program-- how I found it, what's in it, what you can get out of it, and who I think are the ideal people for this training program.

    This is the most professional review I´ve ever watched about any training program. You share your experience, and what you are not responsible of. You also share the expected outcomes and whom might be interested in, all in all, from a professional point of view. Your review led me to start GMB Elements once again and really try to stick to the program. Thank you very much. You are awesome

    Good luck with Elements! I haven't completed the newest version in the app, but regardless of what version you do- just take your time and have fun with it. Don't think of it as a workout, but as practicing a skill. 👍

    This was perfect timing! I bought Elements a few years ago and am now focusing on improving my mobility and fundamentals for more advanced martial arts techniques and tricks. Thank you! Also it was SUPER cool to find out you have a place in Nashville. I'm from here and currently live here! Hopefully I'll be able to join the Elements study group

    GMB is the proverbial shit. You will become stronger in all angles, you will feel better (less pain and stiffness), and you will enjoy training. My son (5) wakes up and says “let’s exercise!” And loves doing some GMB stuff.

    Dude, that's so awesome that you do it with your son! I've become a GMB Trainer and a dad since this video 3 years ago. Planning to do Elements with my daughter when she's walking. Already taught her A-frame and Bear. If you ever post a video with your kid doing GMB stuff, I'll share it with Ryan and the other GMB trainers!

    Great insight. I'd be interested in the study group. I'm a little more than halfway through Elements. It's been helpful but it can be a bit boring. It really depends on how you approach the program. If you use it to supplement an existing program, I think it's great. If it's all you do, it can get old. It's definitely taught me to be more aware of my body. I wish they could offer more example videos or even examples of how one goes through each of the P's.

    Yes, this is one of the things I did not understand when I was going through Elements. The P's relate to the intensity. Play literally means to play and experiment with the movement. Practice means practice the most difficult variation. Push means to dial things back, so like doing a low frogger instead of a high frogger. There are lots of ways to add some variety to the workouts, like slowing down. Hope this helps! Good luck with your remaining weeks. Make sure to slow down with new movements and, as Ryan says, "try to make every rep look pretty!"

    Hey Prince, Could you tell me your insight on the Original strength program?

  • @GoldenbellTraining

    @GoldenbellTraining

    When I attended an Original Strength seminar, it wasn't really a program yet. It was more like something to compliment a workout. At the time, they didn't seem to want to be similar to Primal Move. Is there something specific that you want to know?

    Would you say that the elements program is also doable for someone who is very out of shape? I have not worked out more than just going for a walk for at least two years now. I am not anywhere close to being flexible, but i’d like to get started again

    Go at your own pace. Don't think of it as a workout, but a play session where you play with the movements.

    Even going at your own pace I'd say you're going to really struggle. I'm flexible and have been working out twice a week at least for over two years and some of the moves are very challenging. You need good core strength for a lot of it. Get on their mailing list though 'cos there is a lot you can learn from them for free.

    Being legally blind I can still see my phone and read close-up with this be a program you think I could follow? I’ve been looking for something that’s not the mindless repetition of usual workouts. And I’m wanting something to help me get back in shape for doing Thai Massage. All the work on the floor and moving around clients I wanted something that’s going to help me get comfortable. I haven’t done a massage in over a year and wanted to be sure I was in shape for when I went back.

    There's actually a new version of the Elements program out now. I haven't been through it because I've been focused on my certification with GMB, but I think there are videos showing how to do everything in the Praxis app.
