Is Fishing Deep the Secret to Summer Fishing? In Florida there is not many lakes with water much deeper than ten feet. The water temperature is our shallow lakes can get to the upper 80's and sometimes the 90's which is way above the comfort range of largemouth bass. In this video I am at a lake that has water deep to the 25' range and there is a highway overpass that runs trough the lake that provides lots of shade and protection for bait and bass. Both of those items can provide cooler water for bass and I try to take advantage of that secret here. Come see where I locate some bass on a very hot summer fishing day.

And it was 89 by the time I left! That lake is full of bait so the skinny fish makes no sense.

Looked like a fun day with a few nice bass. Definitely a good lake to try the drop shot in. Those schoolers are fun to chase, you never know how big they will be.

GARMIN 93sv uhd but I have the GARMIN panoptix connected to it also. It has a 9” screen. It works great. Gerry
