Hey there, would you recommend the p50 pro in 2024? Could you share more of how is the phone performing?

I received it a month ago now and I'm so glad I bought it. I feel so unique and above the fray with him. Only downside is the autonomy, I find it catastrophic with Gbox running all the time in the background it does not help but fortunately the turbo charge compensates.

The photos are mind blowing 🤯 I was pretty satisfied with the P40 Pro also, unfortunetly for video there are better options 😊

Not 48 MP only 12 MP? I bought a Huawei P60 Pro and I tested it for 4 weeks. The Resolution of the main camera and the tele-zoom camera is in normal photo mode only 3000x4000px and this is 12 MP. Only in the menu "more" high resolution are 48MP and only for the main camera, for the zoom-camera there isn't a 48MP possibility. The not perfect ultrawide camera has 13MP and in all possibilities. I asked Huawei about this facts but didn't get an answer until now. You can check it for yourself in the gallery under the point "I" and you will see, that only 3000x4000px are there and not the 6000x8000px. Also the file size show you this. A 48MP image has never only 5-6 megabits.

P40 is a great phone. Only drawback is the Google thing and the fucked up keyboard. I've downloaded other boards but it keeps going back to the small board and with my sausage fingers i keep hitting the wrong keys

The first time I was blown away by any camera on a smartphone was a P30 Pro, and now this P60 Pro gave that same dejavu. Does the lens switching work while you are recording in 4k to? Eg Recording in Main lens then switching to telephoto while the recording is running?

Yes even my HUAWEI P50 pro sd888 can zoom To 10x Using pericope in 4K 60FPS, something S23 Ultra can't do lol, s23 Ultra zoom is just bad digital zoom in 4K 60FPS.

Same man! I had all the P pro series except p50 and i must say that the p30 pro was the most groundbreaking phone in my opinion, in terms of everything... Great camera, chips, ram, memory, battery quick charging... You name it I even managed to get my gfs brother to switch from samsung to huawei with it... So much that he bought 3 p30pros! 🤣 He used to clown me like "thats a shitty phone sell it" went straight to buying 3 pieces after i let him play with mine for a week 😂

And yes to answer your question the lenses do switch while recording in 4k on p60 pro

i remember i've watched 1 of the video from youtube mentioned that a good smart phone's camera is not just depend on hardware but OS and software plays the important part too. Same goes for battery life.

wow P60 is definitely overpowered on their camera, im still waiting for the selfie score 😁

Huawei cant be held down, damnnn. this phone had more tech and more innovation than the latest Apple or Samsung,

I have this phone and must say that the selfie videos have been a bit of a let down as many times I just get this juttering on the image for no apparent reason, even in moderate light conditions. I've also seen this issue in german reviews. Main camera videos could also be better IMO, that would just make this phone perfect. Even the P50 pro has better video quality. My problem with DXO is that it is ranking the Xiaomi 13 Ultra so low, even though I've seen lots of examples where it is as good or better than the P60 pro, so for me it's a not-trusty source atm. Great video btw :)

Could you also make some guide probably on how to use this phone's camera properly maybe there's some tips and tricks that I don't know yet :D Really loving this phone btw

This phone has an outstanding camera, especially the low light images were exquisite!! I'm using the Samsung S22 Ultra right now and it also has one of the best cameras but I think Huawei needs more attention!! Well I also love to take zoom shots on my Samsung but I don't go beyond 10x as the image quality takes a hit but when it comes to moon shots the 100x come handy! Great review Adam, loved it as always ❤

The S23 Ultra is slightly weaker for their nigh shots if compared with the P60 Pro, the day time shots are almost the same but the P60 Pro has better dynamic range 🙂

Honor is "Sister" of Huawei, and Honor use Harmony OS (China) and Emui User-Interface/Design/Options... But I must say that Huawei has better Camera Quality because of their Software and XMAGE/XD Optics Camera. Honor use different one...

Im living in China and i can use Google search while connected by VPN but i cannot download Google play. I use APK pure which is close to Google.

Anyone in the UK using the p60 pro? Can you confirm if you can use phone clone to transfer Banking Apps to use on the P60 pro (Halifax etc)

What about posting videos on c media? Samsung quality is really bad after posting, while iphone is amazing. Whst about huawei?

In general, that depends on the Version of app and settings (Instagram allows you to post Pictures with higher resolution, just look for it in settings). I've been using P30 Pro, P40 Pro, P50 Pro and now P60 pro, and all pictures I post on Instagram, has great quality. Story/Videos as well, but first try to take a Video with Camera app/Main camera because sometimes Social Media App Camera doesn't work well. I can tell you my Instagram, so you can take a look on my pictures. iPhone and Samsung (mostly used phones in Europe) are too overrated when it comes to camera and posting it on social media. The pictures (if it's 100x100/12mb or 1GB... don't know how to describe that on English) depends on the Social Media App Version and settings you have. I'm saying that consciously because from my experience, I never had any problems with posting pictures taken with Huawei.

I've owned just about every Apple phone they came out with and once the one year warranty is finished Apple will not bother to support service. They will tell you to take it down the street. I only use them because I get them from work but I would never buy one. The two best personal phones I've ever owned were a Samsung Note and a Huawei P40. Samsung was better, only because Huawei could not use Google play, even with a VPN and the Huawei keyboard was too small, kept hitting the wrong letters. Anyway. Thats just my opinion. Im going out to buy an S23untra today because my I Phone decided not to start up after i killed the battery. Stuck with the Apple logo coming on and off. Couldn't bother to fix it.

my problem is the selfie cam downgrade in low-light. It is worse than the old simple wide P30 Pro selfie cams. They switched to ultrawide but worsened the sensor

It's takes 48MP pictures but uses pixel binning to bring it down to 12MP, however you can force it to take 48MP pictures by using Hi Res mode. I would say picture quality is more or less the same, unless you are going to zoom into the minor details of the pictures.

Sorry but you didn't test the zoom against the pixel 7 pro to say that, test him and see it for yourself, I have both and zooming till 15 or 20x the pixel has better quality in zoom, I can see much better small numbers and letters in the pixel7pro

Hey Adam, this is an amazing video with a really nice soft style with your tone and that is really relaxing. This phone looks really amazing camera wise and I can tell a lot of thought was put into its system. The bokeh is truly insane! The chipset though being over a year old and the lack of 5g is a true deal breaker to me which sucks as cameras are a real priority for me and this phone does it all so well. The screen being like 1200 by 2700 or something like that also shows what a nice panel it is and all these things would be so nice in a phone with a Snapdragon 8 gen 2 and 5g. I know some people won't mind though so I guess they made some decisions that were right. It is a much more thought out phone than the goofy pixel fold 🚽. Have an amazing day Adam and can't wait to see you again 🙂

Its a phone... not a camera...

Good photos but screams "overprocessed". Brutal noise reduction (more like removing), 200% sharpening, too much saturation. Looks good on the phone but on big screen not that much.

Who cares about the quality of photo these days? ))) Are you seriously? The only thing that has a price today is video. And he makes terrible videos. No stabilization. You didn't spend time on the video. And I think you used some stabilization equip and did not move the camera to hide this flaw. The fact is that this phone is not about video, which means that there is no point in considering a camera there. At least for me..... )))
