Shows you they don’t care even for the tourists doesnt it? Maybe it’ll take tourists stopping coming in to wake them up, 1 billion lost in revenue for tourism because of lack hotels🤮

I work between Grafton St and Dame St. It’s filthy and full of homeless people and tents. Open drug taking. Garbage bags everywhere. Derelict buildings. Friend of mine was attacked at an ATM (on Baggot street) recently and suffered brain damage as a result of the attack. Horrible. I’m just back from Lisbon. It’s beautiful and clean. Well policed. Buildings are beautiful. Feels safe. We are so so so far behind. And yet we are way way way more expensive. How do we even start to fix all these problems.

For a start I’d say more garda around but we don’t have enough garda in the force may of them dropping out, but according to the goverment it’s not a problem for any longer, just generally have more cleaners around town cleaning up in the mornings, it’s funny all Goverment buildings are very clean

She declared a litter emergency! Not once has she declared what has done or what she is going to do. All total abstract nonsense. Arriving to an interview dressed in such a manner speaks volumes. Not a serious person.

We, the citizens should also take responsibility for the state of our city. Not just the authorities.

I live in Madrid and there is a bin on every lamppost. There are council workers and bin men who do several runs to clean each neighborhood daily. The city is clean and well maintained and much bigger than Dublin.

The Gardaí aren't in the city because they can't afford to live there! Its an absolute slap in the face that this government celebrates a budget surplus when the country is crying out for investment. Build homes, build hospitals, improve public transport. They're not being asked to reinvent the wheel. Unfortunately it would appear that effective governing is bad for business.

Aswell as the rubbish, the pavement are a disgusting patchwork of badly tarmacced and stone paths covered in cracks. The paving is so terrible, I have turned my ankle many times. So even if you clean the streets theres still in a shocking state with chewing gum all over. Its a travesty that O'Connell bridge is just a tarmac pavement.... ZERO creative vision in this depressing city. Like lipstick on a pig.

"A much more empowered city council" When you here a green talk about power, you know quite well they mean the power to tax the people. Tax after Tax is all this party knows. Absolute political pioson.

In Dublin all through the 80s and 90s back then it was big heavy traffic going through the city, that was solved eventually with the Tunnell, now it's congestion homeless and refugees...
