@@blackheart4360 It can't and won't retcon GT because they're not even part of the same continuities. Canonicity doesn't matter. It's just different continuities for you enjoy. Multiple stories in Dragon Ball technically canonical to their own continuities.

GT had a good concept with the whole consequence of your actions. The black star dragon balls saga were the result of pilafs wish and the side effects of dragon balls. The baby saga was result of the Sayian-Tuffle war Super17 saga brought back old enemies, literally having to deal with the ghost of their past coming back to haunt them. And the shadow dragon saga were the result of them solving all their problems with the dragon balls

The Super 17 arc is the worst arc in the franchise for me, nothing in that arc made sense, the enemies brought back literally brought no meaning to the plot or arc and Super 17 as a villain was poor.

Yes, DBGT is Canon, until the moment Super or some other version of Dragon Ball goes past the end of DBZ.

@@TophDaGreat the only reason its a problem is because GT came out first and then Toriyama made Super after wich made Super canon and not GT. so the actual problem is they made GT, . not having ssj4 isn't an asspull, and they explained the potara fusion away in a reasonable way.

Canon is nonexistant in dragon ball at this point since there are multiple timelines that occur. Plus they own GT, so if it wasn’t canon, they wouldn’t be allowed to use them in the games

they own the rights to gt now, but when gt came out it wasn't under Toriyama, and just because something is in a game doesn't make it canon, if that was the case then majin buu would have absorbed frieza and perfect cell.

That's only in Xenoverse and maybe a couple other stories. In the DB Super continuities, there aren't enough Time Rings for DBGT to be one of them.

@@omegafinisher845 basically trunks time travel has three timelines. One where he never time traveled, One where he saved the world but died to cell, and one where he saved the world and killed cell. I think gt is the second timeline where that world was saved but trunks died to cell

@@chunghung7951 In Dragon Ball Super's continuities, it's established that there's only one timeline per green ring. Cell's timeline, Goku Black's timeline, Future Trunks's timeline, the timeline created by the Universe 12 person, and the main timeline.

Short answer : yes it is canon Long answer : it's in the same canon but it's a different continuity meaning the anime and the manga are different either timelines or universes which means gt is in the same continuity as the anime but different from the manga

When Pam flew as a baby she was unaware of how or why so it's not that she "learned" how to fly as a baby just accidently did it comparable to Gohan's training with piccolo during the Saiyan saga

You mean near the end where he said he was going to slice frieza again even tho he didn't know he really did it once on another time-line?

My original theory was that there would be some god war or something that removes all god ki or anything like it from mortal hands. This would lead to the universe/future of gt. But it just kept going on. Gohan has his beast form and orange picollo exists so even if god ki was removed they would have been able to deal with omega shenron and such. It was a cool virgin theory but isn’t plausible anymore

to be honest prior to these latest two Magnas with grown up Goten and Trunks. i was worried that aging those two up would bring back the horrors that were their GT counterparts. but so far i have been largely enjoying both of them. i have yet to see the latest movie, so prior to these manga episodes i had no knowable of how they handled their grown up versions. but at least for now i can say that i have been pleasantly surprised.

i ignore the inconsistencies between dragon ball gt and dragon ball super and just let both shows co exist, as afterall dragon ball super already contradicts dragon ball z almost as it does with dragon ball gt so idc about the inconsistencies and just have fun while watching dragon ball.

GT could of had an arc where Goku lives with Uub in his village and trains him so he defend the peace and give Goku a rematch. I kinda wanted to see what life was like in Uub's village and it would of been interesting to see how goku trained Uub.

I've always wondered if Mai and Trunks will get into a relationship or some sort later on in DBS

GT is canon to original Toei run of the first two Dragon Ball anime shows. Mind, almost all of the movies happend before the End of Z. That's the first anime timeline. The second anime timeline starts with Dragon Ball Z Kai + TFC. Then it goes to the Dragon Ball Super anime, the DBS: Broly, and then DBS: Super Hero. And according to Toyotaro, the original Dragon Ball manga's continuation is his take on Dragon Ball Super in manga form. And DBS: Broly happened.

I think GT is canon but I think the canon version of events will take place differently. Instead of everything happening just like how it did in the original GT, it’ll just be the same events with some minor changes.

If GT does happen then SS1 Goku(Super 17 arc)>Majuub(Baby arc)>Uub(BoGT)> Base Goku(EoZ)>~ Uub(EoZ)>~Uub(Moro arc)~UI Silver Goku(Moro arc) This makes sense that is if GT happens and Goku trains hard all the time. He's a monster by that point.

It really isn't a question that Dragon Ball GT doesn't work/fit within the continuities of the Dragon Ball Super series, and it's likewise never really been a question about GT existing outside of the standard canonicity of the mainline source comic from Akira Toriyama (although not that far away from it as a side-story [サイドストーリー; saido sutōrī] of it). However, Dragon Ball GT is technically part of Toei Animation's original Dragon Ball anime continuity and several other continuities. It's obviously not part of some other continuities like Dragon Ball Super's.

Short answer : you are dumb Long answer : you are still dumb for not considering GT a canon because it's compatible with the End Of Z and even after the last episode Z of DBZ features few clips of the first episode of GT when the narrator says Next Time on DBZ. My answer : GT is canon to DBZ and Super is canon to DBZ Kai

Now we need to see if super dragon ball hero fits in

Ya see, Toriyama considers the anime canon even though events take place differently in the manga, I think gt is another timeline of the dragon ball story. Thus making gt canon, in Toriyama's eyes just in a different timeline, I struggle to see how gt could be canon when god, blue, or blue evolution are not used once. Also gt did come out before super, there is also no mention of gods, god ki, alternate universes, but what hammers gt being in another timeline is 1. no Black Frieza, 2. No super Broly, 3. no use of Piccolo or Gohan's new transformations, and 4. No minus version of Goku's backstory. That's what really makes me see gt as another timeline separate from the main manga and anime timelines.

So basically gt is super in the future

Ik this a dragon ball video but Ik a great what if for Naruto. You can do what if Naruto befriended Kurama in a early age like in the pts version of Naruto. That’s just me tho

This is so true. Because super makes no sense. Saiyans are Apes… literally SSJ4 is an ape human form. I always view Super as a between Z and GT thing. I’m on episode 11 of GT and so far it’s been really bad but I’m sure it’ll get better

Look the thing I don't like about Broly is the fact that part of his character is a rage monster.

If they were to ever connect GT to Super, i feel Goku becoming a kid makes the most logical sense. Think about it, Goku's kid body could be too weak to handle God Ki (which is perfect to explain why he doesn't have God forms), so he could only go up to 3 again. And in the GT Perfect files, Ssj4 draws out all the power one posesses out to the utmost limits, so going into Ssj4, Goku could still retain all the power of all the forms he once had. (Goku wouldn't lose God Ki, just not be able to use it due to his kid body)

There's nothing that sugggests gt is now canon and pan not being able to fly now isn't really that strange considering when we're babies we're a lot more flexible than most of us are as we get older. She very likely just doesn't remember how to do it.

that is the problem of manga artists when working with tv companies. tv companies always make their own spin offs or fillers. artists usually dont have the full control on these story lines when with them. just like in naruto, they were fillers that became so inconsistent with the main. but that the artists have to pay when working with tv companies, besides they will not get more audience without them anyways. this is why main storylines/canon and non canon were born. i've watched GT before, even still have the VCDs of the entire series, because i thought it was the sequence to Z, and it stayed that way for me because i already lost interest in most anime as i grow older.

Thanks to our boy Trunks GT ain't no longer canon.

Until dragonball super reaches gt era of story and retcon it. Gt is still cannon.

It's just like DBSuper as being a headache. However DBSuper was more of a migraine when I compare the two.

Since there is no such thing as canon in Dragonball, Dragonball can be divided into timelines. This is how I see it: Original Manga Timeline: DB Original Anime Timeline: DB - DBZ - DBGT Other Universes: Movies (DB-DBZ-DBGT-DBS) Alternative Timeline: DB Minus - DBZ Kai - DBS Special Timeline: SDBH/Episode of Bardock

Toriyama & Nakatsuru stated that if another anime or manga was gonna be made that it would have to be before the events of GT bc that is "The Final Chapter" ⬅️Nakatsurus exact words. Toriyama not only agreed but proved it by the fact that not a single DB product since has ever ran passed GT or into GT. Dragon Ball doesn't have different timelines but different Continuities. GT always been canon it is a literal Sequel to the DBZ anime and it actually takes place after the End of Z, it is always been connected to the Original Dragonball and Z. Look up Shueisha's Official Dragonball Timeline Board. I dislike canontards, being honest you can say nothing after Dragonball isn't canon besides the Original Ball. Dragonball is a Multiverse like Marvel, Xenoverse 2 is a official product because it is made by a Bandai Namco and owned a lot of anime licensed games including Dragonball. Also GT is an OFFICIAL product, because it was made by Toei basically the rightful owners of Dragonball, yes Toriyama did created Dragonball but Toei basically own the rights of the Dragonball Anime. Toyotaro created the Dragonball Super Manga which came out two weeks after the Dragonball Super Anime aired on TV, Dragonball Super is Toyotaro's work more than Toriyama's, I feel like Toriyama does little work when it comes to writing the story in Dragonball Super.

Everything you just said was correct, yes toriyama has actually very little involvement in supers work, atleast with the anime, he was apparently the idea guy who wrote the plot and what not, but that could be changed if toyotaro didn’t like it and toyotaro could then proceed in changing it

I’ll be honest, I’m not gonna finish this vid but, I’m a fan and y’all should do a what if goku was in naruto. It doesn’t even have to be goku just being op, have him be a loser in ninjutsu who struggles to get better and wanting to watch others fight so he’s a bench player for the most part

After the addition of Dragon Ball Super I think I can agree with most of the fanbase that Dragon Ball GT is a non-canon series but I still like to watch it using GT as the filler after the Tournament of Power and before the second half of the Super anime.

In Dragon Ball GT, there was no Super Saiyan God or Ultra Instinct, Beerus and Whis was not found in GT, the Supreme Kai and Kibito were still in their fusion form (Kibito Kai), Jiren, Kale, Caulifla, Cabba, and the rest of them from Dragon Ball Super are not present in the GT timeline.

This is what's going to happen, they could just say GT was another time-line where things happened a little differently. Redo it and keep Goku alive on earth so the story continues. SSJ4 will always be the coolest transformation, strongest we've seen so far I believe.

Uhhhh, do you know the difference between canon and continuity? It’s all canon, anything toriyama let have the DB stamp on it (using his IP) is canon, that’s how canons work, the argument is and always will be about continuity, those stories don’t mesh well with the main continuity so they’re considered a different one, still canon, meaning possible to occur in other corners of said franchise but would need to have a way to mesh with the main continuity for it to be what most call “canon” it’s okay it took me a long time to learn and understand the difference but once I did it made sense

It never stopped being canon, it is literally the official continuation to the Z anime, just because they rebooted the series back in 09-11 does not mean it stops being canon. What happens if they reboot the series after super is done, is that gonna magically stop being canon too???
