I feel like Doug’s super should go through walls Incase they buff him it would be pretty neat and useful similar to Gus where you are helping your team from behind a wall Edit: Wow I actually predicted it.

True! Also if they could add some range or widen the hot dog. It’s super easy to miss his hot dog, hence many Dougs just use them on themselves most of the time.

Maybe it would be interesting if the buffed his attack range to distinguish his main attack from Jacky a bit more. The damage at this increased max range would probably be even lower, but it would still be helpful.

instead of fast food, his super should already give a 10% movement speed boost. and his new star power would knock away brawlers in like a 2.6 tile range. it doesn’t deal damage.

Personally i think the biggest issue with Doug is his damage fall off, like the amount of damage you do on the edge of his attack area compared to when he’s on top of the brawler is not fair, his super is great but the rest is pretty rough

The problem is if it wasnt like that then his damage output would be too strong for a support, especially when that attack itself can also heal teammates. They specifically made his attacks weak for a reason, but decided that if he was too weak so they made it conditionally strong.

@@inbeing3464also his super is completely trash, like your enemies can wait for you while you revive and kill you (also you spawn with 50% of your maximum health so you’re going to get killed very fast)

With scaling being the big mechanic of his kit, not including the revive, they should look into extending his range by 1-2 tiles. However, the zones for scaling up/down should also be extended to match the range. The new range would be in-between the ranges of his current attack and Jackie's super. This could help with chip damaging or healing without giving him too much range. As a support, there are way better options like Poco's Da Capo star power, which makes his attack heal for 700 hp. It has more range and heals more when hit with the edge of the attack when compared to the edge of Doug's attack range. Just a slight increase in range without reducing the output would be so impactful to Doug's playstyle.

Maybe they should make it so that if/when his attack only heals him, he recharges some of his next attack. So that hes harder to deal with in longer distances cause he can just heal and he doesnt get punished as much for using ammo just for healing himself

He’s not so great right now, but he’s for sure getting a buff soon!

The thing is with doug, you dont want to be playing aggro with him, unless you absolutely have to. Hes a support brawler more than he's a tank so you should be hanging back healing your teammates. Hes pretty decent at countering assassins too, his burst damage is very deceptive especially with extra mustered. This allows you to protect your more fragile teammates by healing them and taking care of any threats. With that said he is still pretty weak. His super takes way too long to respawn you and its so hard to hit. His healing and damage are both pretty inconsistent for someone with only 2 tiles of range. Lastly the fact he's a support brawler who needs his teammates to be good is also a bad. Not because support brawlers shouldnt be suporting their teammates, but because every other support in the game doesnt have to (which kinda defeats the whole point of a support class).

I feel they need to allow him to do damage no matter how close they are within the circle because his dmg isn't too bad when you're on top of someone.

I feel like he won't be very good in the kill objective gamemodes like Bounty and Knockout, especially on long ranged maps. But I tried him in Dueling Beetles and he felt very solid there. I think Hot Zone might be where he's good, especially on one-zoned maps because he can heal teammates and deal damage to enemies at the same time.

Since the update it seems like it’s taking way longer for me to get brawlers. I only get 5 credits at the end of the brawl pass now, was 25. And I never get credits from star drops. I get lots of token doublers, but even they seem useless when I need 5x the end reward just to match what I use to get. I get mostly coins and power points, which is good for upgrading brawlers, but doesn’t help in getting new b rawlers. I have 29 brawlers on my 3rd account and itseems way slower after the update. Also I have Doug on my main, and some interactions he is really strong, other really weak. I watched a video from Ash and he had some interesting comps and strategies for Doug and that seems to work, but is very map dependent, will suck tho if you’re someone that wants to do anything other than support your teammates.

WHEN, they adjust him they touch on these things: His attack: either increase raw damage, or make it so that the damage scales with distance less, because you very rarely deal max damage with him so make the range for max damage larger. Same thing with healing or you might just leave it as it is both could work depending on how much they buff him. His super: ALLOW IT TO GO THROUGH WALLS PLEASEEE. Other than that either make the hot dog do a near emediate respawn, or full health respawn plus give it a larger hitbox cause missing with it is really easy. Gadgets: love them keep them as they are. Starpowers: speedboost one is good but the other one feels really wierd idk tho i dont think they need adjustments.

I think the double heal gadget is absolutely busted. Normally he heals 900 but with the gadget he heals 3600! That’s a 4x multiplier and it can instantly fully heal his teamates!

The problem with playing doug in takedown is that dying with a hotdogs still counts as a death. Meaning it makes it easier for the enemy to win you gift them a second death by being half health

I maxed out Doug first day so I can give some tips: 1: when all your enemies are long ranged in a 3v3 just focus on healing your teammates don’t try to kill the enemies 2: His gadgets depend on how you play want to be more supportive use Double sausage want to deal more dmg use extra mustard 3: Use your hotdog on yourself most of the time

add these: play him like jacky but try to be as close instead of as far as possible, bushy maps? be the tanky and splash but less bursty shelly... lotta walls? say goodbye wall huggers, they hugged open spaces now I recommend playin' him like some kind of mind game brawler, will he retreat? or will he retaliate back and regain full hp/revive instead of die? better to use his damage gadget lol, it double charges super which needs to be 4 hits instead of 5 or atleast give dawg a super charge trait of some sort, maybe charge little when he heals himself/allies with his attack

@@creashaksorganzine0 I agree with all of them, but for the gadgets I just chose one depending on how I feel. I could be a support or I could be aggro and for Power League I chose healing one if the other team has long ranged brawlers. And dmg if they have to get close to deal damage to you

I think they should do the same thing to his attack what they did to surge's super, so if you aim you get a throwing attack and if you auto aim you get his current attack

For me Doug's super is really hard to use on teammates because it is so skinny and short also you have to time it right which makes it nearly impossible to use on teammates. I think supersell should buff his speed to fast or very fast so he can get closer to his enemies easily. And maybe make the hotdog thicker so it is easy to hit

it's often not a gud idea to super em' in the first place lol, they usually fall back when low, I dunno but ig he supports a hyper aggro brawler like ash... wish he'd get some gud buffs like what happened to gus lol so they'll share the same story that goes: they were released as the non chroma brawler for the season and they sucked while the chroma was op, they both got balance changes and the backbone of the chroma got nerfed (sam's was his heal, cord should be his super charge and gadget) so he now sucks while the other became a tier or even s tier in the competitive meta

I think Dough could be very good if he had a passive that charges his super by healing other people. Then he could just be a heal/tank bot for his team without needing to go offensive on the enemey team

I think they should replace his first sp to something similar. When you get resurrected, you heal up 75% of your total health, and you gain a shield that makes you invincible for 1-2 seconds

Ngl I think you under ranked him in utility aspect you did give really good points. But I think just the aspect of him being able to revive himself and teammates it should be higher. After all their no other brawlers that can revive teammates. Just my opinion.

He definitely needs some range and damage buff and as a tank give him the super charge like buzz or cordilous.

I'd say his damage should be lower when he is right on top of someone, but he should have a 1-2 tile further range (with even smaller amounts of damage)

It would be sick if his super was a throw, so you can toss it up in the air for teammates or yourself. When Doug catches it he makes an upwards eating animation

I love the fact that kairos is just mashing so much when he plays doug in showdown its so funny to me

Everyone compares Doug to jacky BUT just think of it like this. He has an attack like el primo but thay made it go all the way around him so he can deal splash and heal his teammates at the same time 😎

I’ve been in a lower trophy level so o don’t know about higher tiers, but I think if the damage was the same but a reload and unload speed was increased. That way he could increase his burst ability without just have higher damage and heals.

Although a rework might sound uncalled for, I think he should get a range buff and his max healing and damage not be right on top of him, but rather in a 1 - 1.5 tile radius from him. To compensate he could get a damage nerf.

I got Doug right away and i regret it. He hits like a wet hotdog without his gadget and the heal is good but it to too little. I hope he gets buffs like damage buff, heal buff, and like a 2 second invincibility after revived.

Even I played Doug in the challenge and was legit stuck in wipeout till I couldn't do it anymore and played Mandy instead and went back to Doug when I finally finished wipeout

doug does really good in duo showdown if u stay close to ur teammate, he does good playing with slower brawlers too

People say Doug’s attack is like Jacky but you could say willows attack is barleys but with worse range or that poco attacks like sandy. At some point as more brawlers are added attacks will overlap that being said a slight change to it would be nice because at least other brawlers with similar attacks have skill cap and Doug and Jacky are just mash buttons

i think doug has massive potential in the right team comps because his heals r poco level if not more

but poco's shots are like undodgeable with the midway damage of dawg while hotdog has short ahh lol funi jacki range and little heal for like no risk or pretty great heal for splash enemy's wet dream... tho he's be quite stronger if he has like 100x more health

Recently unlocked Spike, and was thinking about getting Doug or a new epic, this video is extremely helpful in that matter ❤

They need to give him a circle in front of him where he can atttack similar to hank and that way he could actually do damage without enemies easily avoiding him, because at that point it doesn’t matter if he can revive it he just dies again without getting any shots

I think due to his range he should be able to get his super back if it's not used but with a cooldown mechanic so the players can't spam it all the time. Even Gene heals are more reliable, this is the first time I see a brawler being useless when released.

I think Doug is good with a good comp around him, it’s difficult to charge at enemy brawlers with his slightly low dps, but if he can start chaining supers, he becomes almost unstoppable.

Is it just me or Doug's attack range is smaller than it actually shows? If anything he needs, it has to be a range buff that should atleast match with Pam's heal turrent radius so that he will be atleast as accessible as a pam turrent as a source of healing.

I feel like one thing people need to understand is that even though his attack is basically identical in shape to jacky’s, his playstyle and all other mechanics are completely different so to get the best out of him I think ppl need to stop comparing them and figure out better how to play a short ranged support (he sucks if u try play him as jacky)

Yea, his design, voice lines, pins and even names of his abilities are so cool. Out game he's probably one of my favorites but In-game he is not that good

They need to give him a damage buff, or rework him so that he does more damage further out in his attack range rather than closer. So at his max attack distance he would 1800 instead of 900

Honestly I don't blame you for quitting on Wipeout in the challenge. I played decent brawlers but my randoms were terrible. I lost many times as the star player and I hate it That's why you should use looking for a team even in casual challenges. Randoms are just horrible and a lose streak in a challenge like this can ruin my day

He's fun and chill at least. Double sausage is underrated though, the amount it heals is absurd, especially with damage gear.

dougs "self service" star power is super broken with tanks like Buster and Frank because they have so much hp and they can protect them(Buster Super and Frank super) so yeah he is worth upgrading with tank teamates and low hp assasins

I think the epic gear for doug should be the supercharge. After all, he charges in 5 hits. And the number 4 leads you almost to a charged super. So you would charge in one less ammo.

Definetly heal teamates helps but that only matters when youre one or two enemies are already wiped out. If not you wont be able to attack.
