Initially i learnt MERN development but I wasn't really enjoying frontend part though backend is less painful with node js, and since later part is micro services and all i just thought to give it a shot and now I've been learning DevOps since last 3 weeks and made my foundation strong with Linux, networking, shell scripting,git and python I'm also thinking of learning Go lang, at the end of zero to hero playlist and land a DevOps role job by the end of this year. Sir i got placement in dotnet with 6 lpa through campus placement. I have learnt only mern stack and done projects on mern stack itself .Dont know anything about dotnet . So my joining in july 18 they said they will train for 3 months. I saw videos in youtube i didnt got interest so i want to reject the job offer . As you said mern stack is soo competitive now a days soo i am also felt same and decided to not to go along the crowd. I thought to start learning devops and learnt upto terraform till now in your a -z sereis . My question is as of now I am soo confident what i learn should i reject the job ? will be there any posting for devops as a fresher even after 6 months i got devops job also i am happy but need to know will be thier any openings for fresher in future ? and role of certifications is it neccessary to get a job ? Take the job, work on Devops side by side. Try to do internal switch to devops tools then after a year or two switch to other company for devops role. Devops market is tight for freshers. There are not much opening, but if there is any opening it is tooooooo crowded. So first get the job do whatever you want later. If you reject this job and what if no interview got scheduled? On campus is easy.. off campus is on whole different level bro... Trust me. Join the company then later think about switching

It's very tough for Junior DevOps engineers. There are a lot of jobs on LinkedIn for DevOps role but I think most of them are just for show. Most job I see are for Data Analyst

​@@AbhishekVeeramallaI do sometimes feel the same bro. I had an interview recently with a big MNC. They asked basic questions and closed it in 20 min which was an hour interview. No follow up questions, no technical questions nothing. Felt like they already had a candidate in mind and did interviews to stick to company's policies. Ofcourse I still get calls though. But it's kinda demotivating when this happens 😞

I switched from a manual QA (Middle), so you will make it for sure. Just say that you were a DevOps in a previous project and apply for jobs as a DevOps Middle (if you have some hands-on experience).

You need scripting(bash and power shell), python coding, Go language for DevOps automation. Yaml for Kubernetes, CF(cloud formation)Infrastructure as a code, Terraform (IaC)
