    I actually have a homebrew ruleset for terrain worse than the typical difficult terrain, including very difficult (1/4th movement speed) and extremely difficult (5 feet of movement speed) terrain.

    The results are not precise, because the trials lacks some danger to simulate combat situations realisticaly. I recommend you guys to use tigers or bears to simulate enemies.

    @@robinstrand3555 Charisma is mine, but I also am on the autism spectrum, so that wasn't really ever in doubt. On the plus side, I have advantage against being charmed, and a natural 1 on contested insight versus deception counts as a natural 20 instead. No joke, my sister tried the updog joke on me, but it failed because I said "Updog? What's that?" So... yeah. I rolled a natural 1 and succeeded.

    Next up: Thrown weapon testing (safer because you can use targets other than people!). I want to see darts at 20' and 60' for starters. Maybe use Jarts? I'd also like to see you reload a crossbow in 6 seconds WHILE MOVING!

    -1 to Charisma after mosquito bites cause the face to swell to three times the normal size. Also, +10 to movement speed if an alligator is spotted.

    YES D&D definitely underestimates the true annoyance/danger of bug bites. I once read that mosquitoes are technically the most deadly animal on earth, and I know personally that Lymes disease from ticks is rough

    @@BobWorldBuilder I guess when even mid level parties have access to magical disease removal, bug bites are less of an issue. Swarms on the other hand are every bit as difficult to deal with and terrifying as they would be in real life (absent "magical swarm removal" aka fireball)

    We had a thing with are DM we fought of birds of orcs and we got all their loot and was like how do you carry all of it so we had to buy a cart which the next adventure put us on a boat

    50 gp is one pound in gold. Scale with carrying capacity. Multiply value by 10 with platinum. Divide value by 10 for silver. Gems and art are calculated individually.

    You should put together a adventurer's kit simulation that weighs ~80 pounds overall. Military kits for infantry through the ages tend to average out at 80 pounds. This includes things like armor, as well as tools, bedrolls, and more.

    That's a cool idea! I think once we do the STR video and see how much "our characters" can carry, we'll try to incorporate some resistance into any other movement videos-- except probably swimming because that would be unnecessarily dangerous!

    On the other hand, even first-level martials would be considered world-class athletes, so I think the lack of gear balances out with the lack of physical prowess for these trials.

    This was really cool to watch because for someone who has never met with a bog, It is kind of hard to imagine how difficult it is to actually move around in such a terrain, the forest one caught me off guard now I know that forests can also be difficult to travail so thanks for that!

    The sand idea, while in execution was unable to provide much resistance, in an actual fight would cause a lot of issues with ground stability and speed loss so I also thought that was an interesting attempt too, at least if the sand area were big enough. I imagine how unbearable a fight in a Sahara desert like place would be (if you’re melee in any capacity at least).

    2:43 a lot of people also seem to forget it is very easy to move if you're wearing plate armor. Sure it's a bit heavy, but it was designed to give the wearer far more mobility than it lets on

    Am I dumb? 30ft movement. Then one 5ft section changes to the cost of 10ft. So of the 6 5ft zones. One of those zones costs 10ft, so 1x10ft and 4x5ft = 30ft, but split into 5 5ft sections meaning you should move 25ft if one 5ft area is difficult (like the incredibly harrowing Grace world destroyer)

    Your math on the creature spaces is a bit off- the creature’s space would take 10 ft of movement, and there would still be 20 ft left over, but that would be 20 ft on top of the 5 ft space, for 25 ft total (instead of 20 ft). Loved the video!

    I'd love to see one that gauges how much a person can say during that 6 seconds of combat. I love the possibility of narrative moments in the middle of combat but I don't want it always to be like a full-blown anime cut scene where characters monologue back and forth.     I would love to see a video on throwing and jumping. Can a character with only average strength REALLY jump that much further if they take a running start? Also, an episode about mixing movements would be super fun. Can you still go 15 feet in six seconds if you start from prone? If I have a climbing speed and a walking speed, can I scale this wall then walk along the top? I’d love to see more. Keep it up!

    We have to say. Great video and we really like how this brings a bit of realistic visual to players and DM. So when people are playing and telling their stories they may have a better image in their mind of what it may or may not look like.

    I definitely want to try ranged weapons because I have some background in archery. And encumbrance might be on the way too! The next one is testing our STR scores, and now that we have them, we could potentially revisit movement with encumbrance in mind!

    @@BobWorldBuilder If I may make a suggestion for a possible future video. Jumping height/distance to demonstrate just how insanely far someone is able to leap with magical buffs as compared to a normal human jump.

    Uploaded 23 hours ago...yes! Made the like video window! Nice pickup on the making an attack while moving and threatened squares rules. Seeing how it affected movement, I wonder if bearing a shield make movement more inhibited or not much difference. I feel like it should.

    Casting while moving. Casting is always a weird thing to determine exactly how it happens, but if a character is reading or performing specific kinds of somatic components that seems kinda tough.

    @@SpookyGhostIsHere In Pathfinder 1E if your a bard, or the like you can't cast while doing a performance to buff your allies. Thats why most players get the Lingering Performance feat that way you can stop and your performance, and it lingers for three more rounds. Allowing you to do more things in combat.

    I saw the cicada, and IMMEDIATELY knew that it was brood x. I went up to Virginia with my family recently for a wedding, and they were EVERYWHERE. They kept flying into the sides of the car. Creepy little orange and black halloween bugs.
