UEFN is capable of much more, but it's just less convenient and simple than 1.0 is. Honestly I prefer creative 1.0 right now, hopefully they'll update UEFN to make it a bit easier to use!

If they give us custom gameplay like powers and customizable weapons like in roblox that would be huge gamechanger we can do amazing environments maps with uefn but the gameplay is restricted to fortnites gameplay if they want to become the metaverse it should get custom weapons at some point with custom weapons for example something like a antimatter gun from roblox or fire element rifle that exist already in save the world different elemental weapons and swords would be a good start this is a bit off topic
Honestly, Creative 2.0 Is still really impressive, but the original feel from 1.0 is just.. better. It's just so more impressive to me to see someone make a massive build with primitive shapes that would've token hours to make, rather then someone just importing a model, and taking 5 minutes to make. And with build competitions, I feel like Creative 1.0 feels much better, seeing how people can use things to make something amazing with a bit of creativity. I do really hope there are still some 1.0 build competitions from you, I understand change is a thing, but personally, I think those were and always will be, legendary.

I don't exactly see how it's a problem that doing more complex things is easier and thus less impressive now. Like, that's just how things work. As stuff improves, doing things that used to be hard easily is just how it goes. It's a GOOD thing in my opinion that now it's a lot easier to make cool terrain, or a working AI or boss or something.
You can get multiple people working in UEFN IF YOU CREATE A GROUP THEN ASSAIN PEOPLE ROLLS SO THEY CAN COLLABE
As soon as UEFN gets the UE5.1/5.2 features, UEFN easy wins in everything! Also most of the features where 1.0 won can be found in UEFN too you just have to turn them on and in 1.0 you have to go by clicking through 3 menus in UEFN it is 1 button press... You just have to know which button ;)
Creative 2.0 has more stuff but the people who have been building stuff in 1.0 can do stuff truly amazing
This actually explains alot because I found adding to maps I made on 1.0 console was very difficult to do on 2.0… I just don’t have the patience, I build for fun not for stress lol
However, UEFN is the middle man between unreal and creative it provides a platform for both the creators for unreal and creative to collab and that is what it is missing right now. Also if you dedicate yourself to UEFN it opens up doors such as becoming a Unreal game designer or being a top map creator working for teams like Atlas.

The problem is that it is too abruse for regular creative people, and it not capable enough for unreal engine people.

Also unless they add it to console, I would just use roblox because it isn't limited to memory. And has far better animation. No hate for UEFN just some major problems it still hasn't fixed!
Only thing that bugs me with creative is that, in order to publish your maps, you need a creator code, which means 1,000 followers on a social media. What if you don't use Social Media or don't have that many followers. It is frustrating, that's all. But great video nonetheless, Mustard. I love your frequent Creative update news videos! They changed it now, you can publish your maps if you meet certain rules. Which are basically the same as the ones before, but minus the "Must have 1k followers" rule but now there's the "Must be 18 years old because laws"

THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO AND INFO! I looked everywhere for the simplest of information between the 2. But no one had an article. I've been watching a few of your videos lately, trying to build and learn UEFN over time. Can you bring the projects freely from 1.0 to 2.0 and once it's a 2.0 do you lose the accolades and save when switched?
I also like that you can copy and delete things that are uncopyable in 1.0 like the terrain and some tiles and sidewalks in the Tilted Island and that you can make props and buildings really indestructible

You know I was really upset when creative 2.0 wasn’t on console but looking at this vid I can see that 1.0 is still a great way to release your creativity
I think that the nice thing is the synchronization between the 2 of them! The annoying part is that 2.0 is drastically more complex that 1.0.

I mean, that's sort of the sacrifice you make when you add loads of features. Of course being a more powerful tool to create stuff makes it a lot more complicated to learn.
I've been loving uefn myself since it fits to what i simply want to do, build maps and play them with friends. i dont know much of uefn, but i can add custom textures and music and thats already fun in my opinion. But i might try getting publisher rights, finally being of age for it
1.0 is more fun. 2.0 is better at how it works. But 1.0 just had the nostalgia and friendship you could have. It was like a fun scuffed type of world. The maps just felt different too. There is something that just can’t replace the soul in Creative 1.0.
As a console player who has mastered terrain looking at 2.0 terrain it just is better looking
Easy win for 1.0 because of the boundarys as in 2.0 you can't play with friends unless u publish it and in 1.0 you just go through a portal 😊

Hey Mustard im working on an elevator for one of my maps. Only one of the functions work though sadly. I can either have the elevator go up, or down not both. I believe I have everything set up correctly. Maybe its just a bug? Do you have any ideas for a work around?
Not to say that UEFN is bad but i think people underestimated the power of creative 1.0. They both have their strengths and weaknesses that affect both in different ways!
Honestly there’s a lot of things that you can do in both versions and some content creators get shocked at creative 2.0 maps even though they could be made or already have been made in 1.0

how did you get the train moving with the animation in UEFN tho? did you still move a prop mover?
The gap between UEFN and 1.0 is enormous, but most people aren't skilled enough to utilize it. There just isn't a comparison between the two.

the save point device has just been in uefn but the have removed it again i have a picture from may 2 where it was in uefn but is not now

The xp is already in UEFN is that if you play a few minutes or hours in a UEFN map you get more xp than 1.0, it’s that you can’t see the device it only happens when you get out of the map
I like to swap between the two. I use the UEFN tools for landscaping and more technical things. Pretty much all the things you can't do in 1.0. I use Creative 1.0 for building, testing, and pretty much everything else because it's so much more enjoyable and immersive.

Pubishing In 1.0 Was Changed to 2.0 Awhile ago. Is So Annoying to have to wait a few hours just for a quick bug fix on a map.

I play on a Switch (I’m still getting those Wins somehow) and since Switch, PS, XBox, and Mobile don’t have access to UEFN, I’m hoping they somehow add it for those platforms. (Edit: Also I’d say by looking at others use UEFN that it’s best to use both 1.0 and UEFN.)
if we could somehow have live team editing in uefn, i'd actually use it, UE5 has it, i have no idea how UEFN doesn't
honestly i just make terrain and ziplines and all that stuff in 2.0 and build all the buildings in 1.0. For me 2.0 is a huge difference because i am really bad with modular terrain (i almost never even used it)
I im one console so om happy that its basicly the same but i hope 2.0 realises to console soon.

Also there should have been an Accessibility Point. UEFN takes the point but still. Hopefully Epic completes there promise and Gives us UEFN Console Soon! And i understand how hard it was to make Normal UEFN. So here is when i think they will release UEFN for Console: 10/22/23 (October 22nd 2023) But idk its up to them when to publish it

2.0 is great but I feel like you still need to use 1.0 to get precise locations and stuff like that.

@EcosPlanet There's nothing in 1.0 that you can't easily do in UEFN. But there's a lot of things you can't do in 1.0 that you can do in uefn.

To be honest, Fortnite creative 2.0 will probably be an auxiliary tool for me. I wont ignore some of the benefits it has, such as world partitioning, etc, and allowing you to post bigger maps with it, but most of the building, etc, is gonna be done in 1.0, with some scripting done in 2.0 and things like that.
I miss saying “hey look what i finished” and have everyone on the island gather round the build lol

You forgot that creative 2.0 you can search a chair for example and it comes up with all the chairs so technically it was 9/10 in the end but creative 1.0 still wins so it doesn't matter, anyway great video! 👍

How did you make it in both 1.0 and 2.0
They changed the way mas are published in 1.0 you have to do it on creative portal
I think that 1.0 is more fun and easier to use I just love 1.0 when my friend who plays on PC tried he didn't understand and sure it can make really good animations and stuff like that, but it can get pretty boring playing by yourself

True but I don't really minde since I'm the only person in my friend group with a pc and I just finde it way better than 1.0 like I was playing 1.0 and It was so inconvenient like I couldn't just search box and all boxes would show up and I love custom assets like I have a russian helicopter scp 096 (which I have animated). But I guss 2.0 is harder to use since you need a top of the end pc to use it and even when I come to console you won't be able to code and there won't be as many assets to use so I just think creative 2.0 is so people can make better games and it also brings in a lot of game Devs.

UEFN Maps gives players XP now.. Players receives them after playing the map and not during the game.

how do you put your creative 2.0 stuff into a 1.0 Map I've Been Searching My Friend Wants Stuff From 2.0 but I can't find any tutorials please help me with this
I feel like most of the points given to 1.0 boiled down to you not know how to use the tools
The sad thing about UEFN is that if you arent an creator, you cant play with your friends. You can do teams but only with people on PC, for example I'm on PC and my friend is on PS5, I wanna create maps with UEFN, but to play it with friends.
Is creative 2.0 coming to Nintendo mustard
If they manage to make the test time manageable 2.0 is already winning because it would include 1.0. But to do an edit or play session takes too long to really consider 1.0 part of 2.0. It feels like I'm back on dial up internet waiting for a page to load.
I remeber that the first time i Tried UEFN I did a Death stranding Artwork but i neede to Use builds and IT WAs A NIGHTMARE I SPEND 2 HOURS fiGURING OUT HOW TO REMOVE THE AUTO GRID
How to get 2.0 on console?
I would say creative 2.0 can win on the creativity section because people can design their own models from scratch and animate them theirselves which takes lots of effort

You may be able to do more with UEFN landscaping but it’s harder to control and building in both its hard to connect things correctly when off grid

@@goldengamerfox8852 I know, it's just a lot easier than in 1.0. You can spend minutes trying to line things up in 1.0, but it only takes 30 seconds tops in uefn.
Another problem is that you cant just play with your friends in UEFN or build private maps with them to play private without having to be in a Creative Or 18+ if there is way to do this ill take this back but i found nothing about it
