I do hooks from the free throw line silver badge with a 7,1 C 7'9 I get open shots easy with it on smaller guys

Tutes can you test if close shot has the green window bug like standing dunk? I cant make even good shots this year

Use to be so vital for me now I rock it 65 and it's decent. They patched it last year but never acknowledged it in the notes😅

i was using close shot on builds for years that didn't even need it i would say its more meaningful on apost scorer like jokic or embiid could have saved alot of attribute points over the years.

could you do a video on slippery offball ? that was my go-to badge on 2k23 since I'm usually the spot-up lock on my team but for some reason, the badge only triggers if you bump into the opposing player rather than flicking the right stick like the previous 2k.

Do a video next on if changing the body type of your player after unlocking in the gatorade gym does anything

i honestly think this stat is useless unless you are a pure inside big or post scorer. at least with the way i play even at big there’s no reason for me to be taking any close shot unless it’s wide open on the break or a backdoor.

Space creator / hop jumpers appear to be very strong this year. Hoping to see some testing on that in the near future to see if the hof badge is worth it over gold since many ppl stopped at 92 3 point instead of 93

So i found out that driving layups are whats triggering more so than close shots under the rim. On my second build my driving layup is 85 and close shot hasnt been upgraded yet but i find myself just as successful as my big man around the rim. Not sure if its intentional but the same applies to driving dunks/standing dunks. Mind if you touch on this a little more?

You have to tap RT/R2 and then run to your spot thats how it activates

If you do not have post control, you can still hit post fades but not as efficient or not contested ones. Its the same thing as having a 99 3 ball with no shooting badges You’ll be able to hit, but you wont get the e buffs that the badges provide

Please do Masher. Badge has same definition as last year and says "finishing especially over smaller defenders"... Same confusion about "especially" meaning ONLY smaller defenders or not. Even though that's not what especially means.

It means the dictionary definition of especially. It makes it easier to finish around the rim and makes it even easier if the defender is smaller.

@@fnwochie121This didn’t apply last year which is why he’s asking that. Masher last year didn’t activate unless they were a couple of inches below your height. If they were your height, taller, or only slightly shorter, it didn’t activate. so it fails to follow the definition of the badge description

I have a build who only has a 30 close shot and still cashes because apparently I’m open when I’m not because I’m a little bit smaller it don’t read me as being covered 😂

2k is really a scam. I made a post scorer with only close shot and post offense because it was needed to get post fade phenom badge if you couldn’t get a decent midrange rating. Lol it’s really sad how creators like you have to put the information out for us. Thank you Tutes🐐💪🏾

Im a 7'0 center and i havent touched my close shot its at 25 still im a 91ovr and ive been ok without. 83 standing dunk is more than serviceable for me. But ive also been able to make some close shots as long as i take smart ones.

youre missing out, high close shot on centers are op as hell. that mixed with fast twitch and masher, centers can literally be god tier in the paint.

Tutes…I have 92 close shot and the ability to have 65 standing dunk. I haven’t invested in my standing funk yet because I’m worried that my player will start going up for dunks thus sometimes not allowing me to use my high close shot rating. Any thoughts on this?

Its so bad without it. In Rec, with 7'1 center, 85 overall and my close shot is still only at 50(of 86). I missed 3 straight standing layups from point blank with PG BEHIND me. Standing dunk is 90 but that barely triggers from under the rim

Most people have at least an 87 block so 90 is the sweet spot you still get block by someone with go position or by chasedowns but it’s a lot better than 80 which i had on my first build

Gotta learn the layup timing, when you’re contested it goes faster so I release it earlier and it greens most of the time. Pro Touch helps too

How is post fade tied into mid range and my mid range is 41 and I got post fade phenom on gold it’s tied into close shot and post control also not jus mid range

Useless I got a 29 close shot still green layups contested not heavy but I definitely green em and barely miss layups
