    6:00 Look, I'm a Christian, but here's what I think. Narrow isn't bad. But to be able to pick a suitable narrow path, one should realistically look at the bigger picture first.

    A hearty AMEN. Awesomely articulated. The Bible teaches in Jesus the *fullness* of God dwelled in bodily form (Colossians 2:9, John 1; Hebrews 1). And that's when we get to the crux of the matter....why the mainstream pushes against Christianity's ascribed identity as an 'intolerant' religion. But if Jesus is the *fullness* of God in bodily form and if God is the source of all truth and life, then there's no need to look elsewhere. All our questions and longings are found in Him. Thus Christians are not putting other people's ideas about God down, we're simply putting them in their place...under the feet of the One in whom the fullness of God has been revealed. And He is Love and Light...and that is very good news...emancipating in fact.

    As a Wiccan, I don't believe in anything exclusively. I think that every religion has something worth learning and I also think that all religions aim for similar things. Like living an honest and good life. Helping your neighbor and being a good person. My way isn't the only way and it isn't the right way for everyone. However. I really like the topic of this video and I agree with many of the things that were said. When I was Christian I was exclusive. I guess I realized that for me, an exclusive religion wasn't what I wanted.

    Ascetic Way of Life" To the Christian, laying down your life for the proclamation of the Gospel to other people is a good thing. Faith comes by hearing the gospel preached. . .Romans 10:14. How can they that are not saved make a decision for salvation if nobody shares the gospel with them? Romans 10:15 As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news. Isaiah 52:7 The Great Commission sends us....Mark 16:15 "Go into all the World and preach the gospel of salvation to everyone...". Luke 14:33 Says to be a learner (disciple) of Christ, you have to for sake all. . .look at what Jesus told his disciples to take with them. . . 1.) Matthew 10:5-10 King James Version 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. 9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, 10 Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat. 2.) Mark 6:8-9 King James Version 8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse: 9 But be shod with sandals; and not put on two coats. 3.) Luke 9:3-5 King James Version (KJV) 3. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. 4. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. 5. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. 4.) Luke 9:3-12 King James Version (KJV) 3. As a disciple of Christ you and I have to forsake all first, then we must learn how to live by faith . . .then we need to read and study the Word of God...the Holy Bible. 1 Timothy 6:7-8 King James Version 7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. The Great Commission is to live with what you can carry, Going into all the World and heralding loudly with conviction the gospel salvation. "Ascetic Way of Life", for some is not doable or some are not willing, to do it...but when you get a vision and really see what's at stake, the souls of men and women, in Christ, anything is possible . . .Hodos! -Friar Rodney Burnap friarrodney_burnap@yahoo.com PayPal.com

    But you get the point right silencesean? It may not be the best analogy, or it may need a more concise clarification, or it may be a bad analogy or example altogether, but what his is point? If you lose the point, it doesn't what argument you make, you'll end up where in a place where you don't need to be.

    Since I can't reply to "silencescean" (don't know how he disabled the "reply" option on his comment) I will reply here. You have to understand a little about music to understand this (and understand basic logic, too, which is unfortunately too difficult for many people). Propaganda says "a G note" (one note played alone) in his argument, but silencescean mis-states P's argument by saying "a g cord" (more than one note played together) so he can say "there isn't just one way to play a g cord, there are several ways". Silencescean is dishonestly restating his opponent's premise so he can claim "the argument is flawed". Silencescean has to lie in order to refute Propaganda's argument. It's no surprise, since his father, the devil, speaks lies as his native language.

    I definitely wish Christians to be more open-minded and understanding. They tend to condemn things they don't understand much. What I also don't like are them forcing their religion onto shows and keep on showing off how great their religion is than all else. I'm not fond of these blind worshipers and sheep followers. Just because they have a different faith or don't believe in God (Atheists), doesn't mean they're bad people. I see them as fine, upstanding, moral, meaningful people who has a different view on things. It doesn't matter what their beliefs are; what is important is if someone's a decent human being. I still wonder about people of different religions. I have a friend who is Pagan and he seems to be a really good person as well as something meaningful at times. I have interest in understanding these different beliefs, including Paganism. I'm Catholic - a rather critical, pragmatic and maverick kind of Catholic as I'm not religious myself. I don't go to churches that much because I lost confidence in it, yet I still maintain a relationship with God and Jesus. Isn't that an important thing? Also everyone has their own beliefs and there's nothing wrong with that. These are things I'm rather critical of.

    The World hates the Truth & Jesus is the Truth, meaning Jesus is the most hated narrow Truth. His free gift of salvation is too unbelievable to fathom because it is FREE & not WORK Based. You cannot EARN salvation with our sinful imperfections but only a perfect man ( Jesus) can buy it with his blood. His sacrifice is the hidden secret & the whole cover up by ruling class because the good news gospel will be misunderstood without it.

    Well Chrisitianity is the only religion that worships a GOD that actually made himself real to every one who seeks him. This GOD actually manifested himself and shown up in people's bedroom and hospitals and etc. He actually appears to people and speaks to people and I mean, audible at times which is rare. The other thing is this GOD(Jesus Christ) actually had existed and been around waaaaaaaay before religion was established the first humans on earth didn't say they were Christian they just simply knew GOD and GOD hanged out with them in the paradise garden called Eden. The same GOD has made prophecies that came to pass that wasn't even in the Bible such as corporate or personal to people to this day. This same GOD even said that he would place Donald Trump in office 6 years before Trump even got in Office and and a year before Trump was made President and even months before Trump was made President . In 2009 GOD has even made a statement that Trump will be president. Yeah so this GOD is very very real and does exist and he is the lover of our souls

    "HYPOCRACY IS NECESSARY"...!?! And "CHRISTIANS ARE HYPOCRITES"...!? NO ....THAT IS A LIE! That is just an excuse for continuing to live in sin! Jesus says: "GO ... you have been forgiven ... now SIN NO MORE!" If you keep on sinning you are NOT a child of God!

    I believe I understand what you're saying. I also believe that the speaker was saying that we have to come to a point of honest humility that confesses our need to be saved as opposed to living in arrogance that claims to be able to save ourselves or deny the need for a savior. Beyond this initial point of humility that draws us to confession and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, that when we fail to love our neighbor as ourself, when we are impatient with others, when I find myself depending on my own strength rather than God's and when I have allowed the desires of this world to take me off course - that in those moments when my sin is revealed - that it is an ongoing reminder of my need for a Savior, that I can't afford arrogance in my life - but humility must always be present as I press forward in following Jesus.

  • @rixtria

    @rixtria

    5 жыл бұрын

    G *note, not chord. There are plenty ways to play notes of any type in chord form, but if I press the C key, will it play a G? No, only pressing the G key will play a G. Metaphors aren't always 100% on point, but his argument wasn't only about the metaphor of the G key, his argument was why narrow isn't bad. So his argument isn't completely flawed, even his metaphor wasn't completely flawed. Nobody can do anything perfect. You're not perfect, and neither am I. So to expect perfection from everyone is setting your expectations too high, so I hope that's not what you're doing. Have a wonderful day, I wish the best for you.
