I was a member of two predominantly white churches. I went to Bible studies, volunteered, worked, served every way I could, sharing my testimony, caring for everyone. My son and I both experienced racism. Looking back I felt so unwelcomed. It was hard because I expected them to love like Jesus. To release how I felt I wrote a paper about it in college where I shared my experience and talked about what the church should look like and what Heaven will truly look like, and I received an A from a non Christian teacher at a non Christian school. I am an Alumni of a Christian University. Apologetics was my favorite class. What I found in my attendance at a Christian school at a predominantly white university was that there was a lot of worldly views and less Biblical views. I had to speak God’s word and stand strong among those who claimed to be Christians.

@Jas58271 The biblical world view provides the idea of supremacy of one set of people over others, that they can enter other people's lands and genocide them, and steal the land, that they can take any virgin that they want, after slaughtering all that she loves family etc., and destroying her home. God's chosen also are encouraged to enslave and subjugate all of the nearby nations close to the lands that they were to occupy, if those other nations offered God's chosen terms of peace, but if they wished to keep their sovereignty, slaughter and genocide them as well. Then the Bible specifically curses a whole race of people because a son saw and ridiculed his naked drunken father, Lot. The Bible tells israel to release their male slaves only after 7 years, but enslave foreigners dwelling among them, and from neighbouring nations, and they were perpetual slaves to be passed from one generation to the next. I could go on, but I won't. Where have you come across a more accurate manifesto for the colonisers, slave making nations, and racial supremacist of the world? Hasn't the church been faithful to scripture in its role in promoting slavery, colonialism, racism, and terror in the world? So how could you miss all of that. Even the story of Joseph showed how all Egyptians had land, and by the end of Joseph's tenure as Prime Minister or Treasurer of Egypt, the Israelites owned the best lands, and the Egyptians were renting land from the King, administered by Joseph. The Bible was very comprehensive in its instruction, and those lessons were learnt and implemented throughout Christendom. Africa, the America, Australia, wherever there were people of color, the curse of Ham was used to justify genocide and land theft, with church and state working hand in hand. The doctrine of discovery also enriched the Bible's message. According to that papal bull, 1452 maybe, the whites had the right to invade the lands of non-white people and claim them as their own, killing all who got in the way of the righteous sons of Japeth. This was followed by Columbus "discovering" the new world, and the genocides that followed, which also expande to Africa and other continents.

YES! Christianity is a whitemans religion. Recently, since the discoveries in Egypt, they started to imply that the people of the Bible are "BLACK". Once you trace Jesus back to Serapis, it becomes clear. The Old Testament is filled with Lombard Legend that was written BEFORE the bible was printed by Paule the Deacon. Lastly, it says the Blackfolks are cursed and they still operate from that premise!

It’s not a black or white thing but a Jesus thing. It’s about accepting Him as our Savior,& trusting God at His Word, made flesh to dwell among men, & following His way. The only Way,Truth& Life. All & any other way leads to eternal death & damnation.

When discussing this topic, we must look at the origin of "Christianity " and its relationship with black people from a historical perspective. The councels of bishops, predominantly white men under "Roman" rule that decided what words would be the word of God, would give any logical thinking person a clear understanding that Christianity in its modern state of existence is the white man's religion.

That’s false tho, Christianity and the Bible was many in parts of Africa and Asian way before the the KJV ever came to be. The Ethiopian Bible is 800 years older than the KJV. Not only that, Christianity was spread by former Jews who radically changed and accepted what we now call Christianity after experiencing the risen Jesus. So that’s highly inaccurate to say it’s a white man religion.

I've never been freer, my mind clearer, my spirit lighter and I have proven to be healthier, mentally, emotionally and psychologically. God is a concept. And there are many belief systems having their own concept of what and who God is. I don't know. and I don't believe any living person knows. What I do know is that people feed people. People shelter people, people help people heal. We are it. We are all we have in this life. I am glad black people are at least beginning to wake up and ask questions.

Jesus was Middle Eastern so really hate seeing and hearing Jesus was white...He wasn't. I've lived in the Middle East, i know. Islam is used as the reason its ok to still have slaves in countries like Mauritania. Look at how domestic workers are treated in the Middle East. Even in Kenya, some Kenyans treat their domestic workers atrociously. I'm so glad I was brought up believing in the Sabbath and that everyone is equal and have stayed that way into my 50s. As you say the Roman's have a lot to do with the Vanilla colored Jesus and this sadly was made more prevalent by the Catholic church in their paintings and icons

By the Greek Jewish scholarship of Hellenist. to the name Jesus.... This same scholarship translated the Greek word Kristos to Christ, which means one who is Anointed!... The actual followers of Yeshua in Antioch call themselves "The Followers of The Way"!!!... Coming from the scriptures in the Torah or Bible in the Book of Isaiah chapter 40:verse 3 which states prepare the way of the LORD!!"... Isaiah the Prophet was also Anointed in his mother's womb before birth..... Before the name changes the other Jews called them "THE NAZARENES" !!.... The first church formed by the Apostle Peter was called "THE CHURCH OF JERUSALEM" !! The name of their teachings was also changed later, 300 years after the death of YESHUA to Christianity by the Roman Caesar Constantine! Which was a Hellenist version of JUDAISM, ...now called Christianity, .....with a image of a blonde haired, and blue eyed European named Jesus! Based on European Supremacy and Conquest !

The truth be told nowhere in scripture did Christ or the apostles ever teach or say that the Lords way was Christianity it's not in scripture at all. I'm not speaking about being called a Christian like they where in Antioch. Being called a Christian and calling the Lords church Christianity are two different things.. We don't like talking about the hard questions... So if it's not scripture then where did it come from..

Belief in truth will help you avoid eternal hellfire. Talk to black end hospice workers and the will tell you how whites beg black them for forgiveness for a life time of believing in a false supremacy taught to them by the church. Understanding that praying to that blue eyed blond haired portrait in your church is blasphemy. Understanding that Christianity has been tainted and rewritten for the power of the white race and understanding how it was used to commit evils to people all over the world will help you avoid eternal hellfire. You couldn't have truly listen to this conversation asking such a question.

Economic emancipation will not prevail with this level of mental slavery. Mentally we are no farther today than we were during the slave trade.

We have been enslaved de-humanised but we have over and over shown our strength and inguinety by our sweet nature of forgiveness our ability to excel in all that is thrown at us. We are ever proving to all that we are so damn special and no wonder we are feared. Let's say we were not so persecuted and had all the same chances. What world would this be, huh. Our strength is remarkable. I sometimes feel we are not even recognizing how great a race the black race is to the point where we had to be suppressed for others to even stand a chance. I am so proud of us. Religion is damaging and is responsible for so many atrocities.

One thing that I have come to learn is that what we have been taught in America is not aligned with human history. The fact that there are faiths older than Christianity plus the fact that our planet is boasting 8 billion people approximately (living), perspective becomes more important. I’m afraid that if you’re only source of truth is the book that your oppressors placed in your path, then their plan is continuing to be successful. I agree with Lisa in her analogy of “counterfeit”. The best tip to help all people in their sojourn is to travel back (re-connect) or to support those elders who are traveling to the mother land, researching, and living truth. The word christianity is not their claims, just as it was not a claim of Jesus.

Hey sister I hope you are well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I would like to challenge your belief that the world is 8 billion years old. There is no such evidence for this. The claim that there are religions older then Christianity is inaccurate also. Christianity is just a name for people who follow the Messiah who was prophised to come to lead people back to the worship of the one true God. Originally man worshipped one God then over time men began to worship the spirits of their dead ancestors believing they could not approach God directly. This is a direct result of the fall of man as the bible teaches. This led to all the religions that we have today and that is why in every religion you have some kind of concept of the supreme God. I am of Yoruba descent and it is there in the yoruba traditional religion. Truly white supremacy did serious damage to our ancestors. Though Yoruba I am a descendant of an African America called Churchill Vaughan who fled southern Carolina in the 1800s and first arrived in Liberia before moving to Lagos where he eventually settled. I feel the pain of many African Americans and as Black British person I can relate some what. However let us not throw the baby out with the bathwater. The problem is not the bible or Christianity. The problem is how white supremacy falsely represented Christianity. The word of God itself condemns any such belief in white supremacy or any other concept of supremacy even among Jews. In fact many heros in the bible were from Africa including Obed Melech, who saved Jeremiah's life and the Ethiopian eunuch of acts 8. There is no hope in any other way except Jesus. Our ancestors were deceived to have been worshipping idols in who there is no hope. There is only hope in the living God alone who came to earth to save humanity in His incarnation as Yeshua Hamashiach. None of our ancestors' gods did such a thing. Rather, they oppressed them and forced them to do fetish things (including the sacrificing of young virgins and killing of twins that were seen as a bad omen). By the way the guys who claim the world is billions years old do so because many of them are secular humanist who have no belief in God and claim we are just material beings and that there are no spirits or souls. They have made up these strange claims about the age of the earth to justify the lie that we evolved from animals after a big bang that happened by accident. They have a skewed world view which has led to a lot of confusion in our day with people now even questioning if there is such a thing as gender. May the Lord help us and open our eyes and I say this with all due respect.

I just want to clarify that when I talk about discovering the Jewishness of Christianity I do not mean becoming Jewish. What I mean is understanding that Christainity did not begin in Europe and therefore has nothing to do with white supremacy. The cultural context of the bible is Jewish Middle Eastern. What then happens is the message and practise needs to be contextualised to which ever culture you belong to in a way that does not alter or distort the message in any way. E.g. in Nigeria music, praying and preaching are all done in a way that is uniquely Nigerian in many instances. Often even with indigenous languages and colloquialisms.

As an African, it always makes me chuckle whenever I hear African-American brothers and sister say that Christianity is the white man's religion, and that they should be going back to their "roots". If only you all knew how badly Africans have been affected by "African spirituality", which we as Africans know to be witchcraft, you would know to run to the Lord Jesus Christ and leave all other idols behind.

This kinda reminds me of Good Times. When JJ painted Jesus Black and their mom was against Jesus being painted as a Black man. It wasn't until Michael showed her that Jesus in the Bible is Black/a dark brown man. It's crazy how much she didn't want to accept that Jesus was Black. I just thought I would mention this.

It would be nice if we called him by his proper name, YESHUA, and stop posting pictures of him as a white man when he was not white! Many people think they’re praising our Savior, but they’re worshipping Pagan Gods made up by whites! Why are we calling our Savior a name other than his actual name, and why are we omitting many facts about him and his life in the white version of the Bible, which is supposed to be a book about him? It doesn’t even mention his wife and kids…why? It’s a white washed version of YESHUA, just like everything else in this world, white re-writing of history.

@@KingCASONIII with all due respect, the word denomination is not found in the Bible, it is man made. COGIC was founded in 1897 by Charles Harrison Mason. What did Mr. Mason know that Jesus didn't? I call denominations banners because they are names of what a man decided a church to be. Jesus did not do that so how can a man come in and direct how God's house should be, when He told us in His word. I commend you in music ministry, I write and sing only Gospel music, also. I am not trying to argue with you in this thread. I am only pointing out Jesus said there is to be no division, yet that is what church buildings do every Sunday. Please read 1 Corinthians 1:10-17.

The Bible speaks against having images of Jesus Christ. No one today, knows what the real Jesus looked like, or his exact shade of color of skin. Only racist ppl care so much about what he looked like, or the color of his skin. Why does it matter? Just be thankful for what he did for you, and for me, for everyone. Will you reject him if he isn't the shade of color that you expected, or wanted? 🤔

As a teen I realized that everyone's race was human. As I started studying the Bible I realized that color of skin was never a way that Christians and Gentiles were not defined by color. I also came to understand that before Babel everyone was together and defined by their town of birth. Using prayer in study and common sense I also found that this also was a frequent way people were defined in the New Testament. I guess people don't accept that we should not bow down nor worship idols. My race is human and my ethnicity is of African descent. And I believed that the children of Ham are the Palestinians. And to be a true Christian only one thing is required and that is to follow the teachings of Christ!
