China did not build all of the Sunset park, the Chinese donated the second pier and the rollercoaster and the other four games. The rest of the area has been there for years. Where the roller coaster and other games are located used to be a huge amphitheater they turned down to open space for the park.

Glad you enjoyed El Salvador. Just a correction, China doesn't own sun set park or the library. They just provided the assistance, hard to believe it was done in exchange of nothing, but that's how the new government is. Also, the areas were built by Salvadorean workers. If you check other youtubers filming while it was built, you could see the workers are not Chinese.

From what I saw and the locals we spoke with they said some of the workers were Chinese and some Salvadoran, but from what I saw it was mostly San Salvadoran's working on the sites. Also, regarding China's investment, there must be some sort of return for them, whether it maybe owning some of the land or resources, nothing is for free.

Only the beaches in La Libertad are rocky, if you go north ( west if you ask locals) the only rocky beach is Los Cobanos, the rest of the 300+ kms. are sandy beaches, many have white sand. Cheers.

Yes I believe the same thing, things are improving all over El Salvador and it will take time, but eventually it will be very developed, the beautiful nature is already there and the people are also amazingly nice. All the best to El Salvador and things are looking up and very positive for the country.

That oceanfront hotel looks nice, especially the view.

El Salvador has not taken loans from China, those are not investments but donations. I suppose president Bukele got these donations in exchange for recognizing Mainland China instead of Taiwan.

Long sleeve shirts are to protect you from the sun and body perspiration makes you feel cool because of the air, I think that is why, but why on the other side of the world in the immense deserts do they wear clothing that covers their entire body?

Makes sense, but there it's almost a robe that has air flow from the bottom. For me if I wore jeans and a long sleeve I would get a heat stroke. But eh, to each their own

I mean it's clear she's not enjoying the visit and it is nice of you to try to convince her it's not that bad. Reality is that La Libertad is an small and underdeveloped town that will grow in the next decade but it will be far far away from the town center you visited, the weather in the coast in El Salvador is HOT, night and day, all year long, it's not the friendliest place for tourist to live, it's just a place you go to enjoy drinks and parties, if you want a nice sandy beach you don't go to La Libertad, if you are a tourist probably you better go to Mizata.

You should travel to E.S. and actually see who is doing the work, I go there every single year and since the beginning of the project I saw nothing but Chinese workers.......here's another fact for you, the Chinese government did not hand a single U.S. cent to the E.S. government, they funded the project alone, because imagine if China had given the $$$ directly to the E.S. government.....lol, fact check!!! Bet you don't have a clue what would've had happened. Uber drivers lives in El Salvador.....you're just another mojado that can't go to E.S.. Needless to say, I saw lots of Chinese guys at Lips every Saturday night when I went to E.S.........so hilarious!!! The only Salvadoran labor were the ones opening and closing the doors for the site. For the quieter beaches, you should go further east... by the way, all of this will be a pacific coast highway that is already being built and the projects are coming in large numbers, many bitcoiners are investing there, because many resorts will be built in a short time, check the la tourism page about this. 😅gargajo eyes = poop eyes

I know that there are Canadians who have moved to El Salvador and some of them are bitcoiners, it would have been good if they had had some communication with them, there are several and I think there are a couple of them who upload videos about bitcoin to KZread. 👉 "two people in paradise"

You guys are very honest. I like that. La Libertad is too damn hot. Playa el tunco unless you are a surfer, you will enjoy it. There are better beaches in El Salvador for non-surfers. I would not recommend el tunco beach.

Just a little detail on your information, some of the infrastructure on the new side of town in La Libertad has been donated to El Salvador, it's not own by China its paid for and build by China with the design requested by El Salvador as international cooperation, it's not a loan, and there are no attachments associated to that, Yes I know it sounds weird because we all know there is nothing free in this life but China is just looking to gain new influence in the area El Salvador was the first one in the region to beging relations with China and thanks to that now has extended to other countries in the region. In other words, its paid by China as a gift to the people of El Salvador and that's the reason why the workers are Chinese, that way the government of China saves on the labor and at the same time employs their own people, The new strip was already there before and 2 things were added. 1 is the attractions park, and the 2nd is the new pier been built on La Libertad, the other two things are a big stadium in San Salvador, and a National Library in downtown San Salvador. By the way, the guys that ask you for money is people that are heavy drinkers and do not work, never give any money to these guys because its going to end up in buying more alcohol.

It is hard to believe that China did it for free, but for the sake of having more influence it can be possible. China is doing this all over the world though, gaining influence so more of the world aligns with them politically, a very good move on China's part. Estuvimos dos semanas allí, un lugar hermoso.

China didn't build everything on the boardwalk. The rides and the second pier only. El Salvador is not indebted for it either.

Yes a restaurant owner recommended that to us but it was very far for us.

Hello, where are you guys visiting us from? As for the chinese taking over I couldn't agree with you more. What is disturbing is that chinese presence isn't questioned by many here, and it's because it is fashionable to not question it. Many were complaining about not enough work during the "re-construction" of the capital yet we saw many chinese construction workers there. Very strange and very scary feeling not going to lie. Cheers for visting !!

We are visiting from Canada my friend. Yes it can be something that is disturbing, a foreign country building and investing millions and millions of dollars just "to have a better relationship". Who knows, it could be just for more influence, but nothing in this life is free, you pay one way or the other

@@nocheckinbags Yeah that's fair enough. What can we do hey. Wish you guys all the best and don't forget to visit Honduras and Nicaragua (if you haven't already) and if the budget allows it. They are very beautiful countries of Central America 👍👍

The only part of the park built by China is the new pier. Not the whole place. Otherwise the rest of your comments are pretty inane. A lot of complaining about the heat in the tropics, brilliant!
