@@ciphercipher8196 He has already said that he loves his woodpecker tools, but, that doesn't mean he isn't impartial. His video shows all the negatives and positives of all the tools he's comparing. At the end of it, it's up to the viewer to make their decision.

I really like the detail you go into with these videos. And I enjoy the long format. It's actually something I look for when I need to hear reviews of something I'm considering. The longer the videos, the more info I'm expecting to get. Thank you!

Don't apologize for the longer videos. Lots of good points, and training. Please don't stop. I am trying to figure where I need (or don't need) a different tool and these are helpful.

I really appreciate these comparisons. They are far more in-depth than most "reviews" of different products and provide strengths and weaknesses that are really helpful when determining what tools to buy. Keep them coming!

Just wanted to say I have really enjoyed the last few videos with their detailed explanation of these tools and their differences. Not only does it get me to think about which one would be best suited to my needs it also helps me, as a newer woodworker, really understand how to get full use out of these tools and understand their purposes. They're very helpful and the video length doesn't bother me at all. Thank you for your time and effort making them!

Thank you for an outstanding explanation of these tools. You covered so many points I never would have considered. Everything from the thickness of the blade and how that can change the performance of the tool to how the finish can possibly change the consistency of measurements changes how I see the tools I use. I think I need to get myself a triangle now. Speeding up tenon layout is such a huge quality of life improvement. Thanks again for taking the time to produce these videos.

Hi. I just watched this and greatly appreciate it. You had my attention throughout the demonstration. I personally do not think an apology for the time you spent is warranted. People watch Star Wars with no gripe and probably wish the episodes were longer. If you had any more to put on this I would have been just as interested.

It is crazy people expect a 5 minute video on how to do something. I took a class and our teacher had to keep showing us how to use these things for several days cause you really don't get it from a 5 minute quickly put together video.

I am new to woodworking and luckily found your channel. I find them very informative and it's nice to see reviews that don't feel like ads for one company or another.

Love this series you have been doing lately. Your experience adds so much insight into items I would not even consider looking at when trying to buy something.

Also, I asked for, and received a set of those mechanical pencils based on your use of them. I love them and the’ve already become my go-to writing instrument.

I have the larger Milwaukee speed square, and I love it. The lip for hooking onto the side of the board is larger than my recently replaced empire speed square. It's great for being able to lock into the rounded corners of a 2x4, and a csharp carpenters pencil fits into the graduated notches well. Not all full size speed squares have those and they are really awesome to have. I don't find the thickness of the blade to be an issue, I just make sure I'm above my work properly. I also use the edge of my pencil lead to lock into the groove of the marking and rotate it down onto the workpiece. It's not inconvenient at all really. I'm very happy with it. I even use it in my shop, almost done with my son's new dresser.

Interestingly, I have watched two of your previous comparison videos and my takeaway was buying the mechanical pencils you use in the videos..

Thank you for your attention to the small details, it is incredibly insightful for me. I don't use my speed square all that much currently but I might use it more if it had some of the features of these guys.

I been using the Milwaukee for a while , I love it , I actually used sharpie to get rid of the glare ;)

Me too. I use the notches on the inside to align my pencil to what ever increment I'm using. I'm not a fine cabinet maker so the Milwaukee does just fine for me.

I find the consistency of woodpeckers is spot on. Its hit or miss with the cheaper brands.

Twice in the same number of days you've had the EXACT video I was looking for. Love the content, keep it up.

I am new to wood working and appreciate the way you break all of the pieces down. When purchasing future equipment I'll have a better understanding of what to look for

I've been using the milwaukee since it came out. The offset at the bottom has a different use as well. 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch are the most used reveals used on trimming doors and window casings so its super fast to mark where ur trim should be nailed up it saves so much time

Thanks so much for adding this. I had assumed this was the case as it sold as a trim square. I also figured the majority of people were going to use it more like the Woodpeckers.

As someone who is just getting into wood working, these type videos are EXCELLENT for learning all the functions of a tool as simple looking as a triangle. I will certainly be watching more of these from you! Thanks for taking the time to teach.

Thanks for your time to put together a video like this! To your comment about length: you're absolutely correct that to be in-depth and concise, you have to have it be longer than other videos. The extra 10 or so minutes does help to differentiate the products and highlight specific features, benefits, downsides, etc. Well done.

Great video and explanation of the features of the tool i learned a lot about the usefulness in layouts that I've never thought about before.

Thanks so much for comparing these! I personally have the Woodpeckers and love it. It’s just the right size to fit in my shop apron or pocket. I use the 3/8” drilling hole all the time. Especially when drilling holes, say, on the back panel into the end of 3/4” stock where you don’t see the other edge the the 3/4”. It’s so much neater than having to make extra markings everywhere!

Thats so much for that info it was worth watching I've used a Swanson speed square for years in framing and finishing houses I've even built my own and shed thousands on labor costs. But you have showed me a few things I did t know about my speed square. You sir have proven something else with your video and that is tou can teach a old dog new tricks.
