Sycamore has been my signature fragrance that all my friends and family know me for for over 14yrs. ❤ The spice pairs perfectly with my personality and how I look I feel. Absolutely love. I still have an almost full bottle of the original Sycamore before they changed the sent and formula. I use my original one for only very special occasions and the newer version as my everyday.

You better hold on to that original bottle and keep it away from heat, moisture, and light. How is the new scent vs the original version?

Thanks for the heads up on Chanel's increasing prices! I've never owned a Les Exclusifs before and want to get at least one before the price hike.

I have tested Sycomore, Encre Noir and Encre Noir A l' Extreme and I find that both them remind me of Sycomore but neither has that creamy smooth vetiver accord that Sycomore has and neither are as subtle and this is the reason why i will buy Sycomore as it is subtle fragrance which is perfect for the office and a signature.

I enjoy the Les Exclusifs line. Sycamore is a beautiful fragrance. Le Lion is my favorite in the line.

I enjoy Lalique's "Encre Noire"; I have three bottles of it.

Sycomore is probably my all-time favorite fragrance. The smell and longevity is amazing but sillage is not super great, you'd have to come pretty close to me to smell it

Sycomore is one of my top 5 all time fragrances! Your videos are always very informative, please keep up the good work! Also, I recently tested AmourOud’s Lunar Vetiver, and I saw one of your videos talking about the fragrance. Don’t you think it is a kind of a darker, spicier version of Sycomore? On my skin it does smell like that for a while.

I like Chanel quite a bit, especially Les Éxclusifs. I get a compliment every time I wear Coromandel - I should buy a full bottle. Sycomore is wonderful, Boy is great, I love No. 22, Cuir de Russie is one of my fav.s...

One brilliant alternative to Sycamore is Les Abstrait's Des Cendres. I tried both Sycamore and Des Cendres side-by-side and from first spray to last, over several days, I preferred Des Cendres.

My favorite Chanel fragrance I just wish it has projection.

Sycomore EDT is very classy and elegant and a great performer too. Disappointed with the EDP, not sure if I would buy 400 ml of it.

I bought this recently and no I don't regret it. And it often lasts 9 hours on my skin. I'll finish my work day and smell it at the gym after.

Lately I’m enjoying encre noir sport, encre noir extreme and the two vetiver from Guerlain vetiver extreme and vetiver

Love Atelier Vetiver Fatal!

I have a sample of Le Lion Chanel and I did not like it at all. Very bitter and masculine. However, I did buy Coramandal (whatever that’s spelt) I love it and hate it but very headache inducing for $200. So I had to return it. I personally think all of Chanel exclusive line is not safe blind buys. It’s best for people to visit Chanel boutique or upscale retail stores like Saks to get full in person experience before purchasing. Especially, one to splurge in that significant amount of money. Your review on this line will help a lot of people.

Sebastian, we went to Paris last September. The sales person at Printemp (after she realized I am a fragrance collector) pulled out a 400ml bottle of Coromandel. I purchased it :)

UHH..You’re a fragrance collector but you’re also LOADED!

So for me Chanel sycamore smells great however I do find it expensive for a fragrance I do not look to wear more then once or twice a year. Now I agree owning the bottle is truly wonderful but I can never justify buying a full bottle. I do however make sure I always have a 10 ml decant around. It’s on my list but it does get passed up for other offerings. I still love it regardless

Can you remake the list of top ELDO fragrances, please? Thankss

EDT for me. they'll probably do a pure parfum in the end.

I have the EDT and use it sparingly. I didn't like it that they reformulated all their scents in les exclusives.

I ❤️ Sycomore. I purchased it before Coromandel! But of course Coromandel is Beeeeutiful! Boy I liked at first. Then it was “Meh” and I gifted it to someone.

Blind bought EdT when Boy was released. Struggle to smell it really.

It’s very long lasting, the silage is incredible, got compliments constantly, stays on your clothes; got it as a gift in 2016 and it was amazing. Unfortunately price is almost doubled since.

Le Loden sounds like the best of the bunch to me. I'll try this Jacques Fath vetiver fragrance.

I find Sycomore more refined , smoother and creamier than Encre Noir. Encre Noir is a great deal for a flanker though, but it has some harsh notes compared with Sycomore.

If you like Chanel Sycomore you should try 21 Conduit St by Jovoy. It is not a vetiver fragrance.

Currently £2667 per litre... I last bought Sycamore in 2015 for £100 for a 100ml. Amazing fragrance but seriously pricey.

To answer your question, yes, buy it.

I love this scent but it only projects about two hours before it’s a skin scent. Doesn’t last very long. Definitely go for the 200ml if you like it. Does anyone else get better performance out of it?

I really like this perfume but I'm not dropping that amount of money on something that doesn't perform so well. None of the Encre Noires work on me either, more's the pity.

Nope. It was a quick duty free error. I have the smaller size. I tried another vetiver perfume. I prefer Vetyver by Chantecaille. It could be a chemistry issue. It’s just too sharp for me.

I’d love to have a bottle from this Chanel line, but Sycamore isn’t the one for me. I’m not into the green vetiver type scent. I’d love for them to do a fruity, freshie or gourmand type. I guess those style aren’t as classy as Chanel usually does but one can wish

I finally broke down three weeks ago and threw down the 200 for le lion. Almost twice the price of any of my other 50 bottles. Still haven't sprayed it, going to use for special occasions only.

On my skin EDT is smokier, more rooty vetiver, has more character, & has better performance(although many have said that the EDT performance was terrible so i guess it depends on skin chemistry, I prefer the EDT)EDP is smoother, softer, slightly creamier with a sandalwood drydown, it whispers on skin.Feels more in line with the Chanel aesthetic.

Beyond frustrating trying to find Something! Living in a crap city where they have Nothing (a Sephora. Great.) Years now since Portrait of a lady changed Ive been trying to find Something!! * if only a place existed where you could communicate with like minded people. Like asked questions and talk. Years ago they had This thing called the internet."world wide web" it was crazy! Chat and talk for hours about anything. Nutty. Lol

Sycomore Is good but, simply, not worth the price point of this days. Compare to Le Lion... now, that is worthy of the price point. And I even personally like that fragrance less than Sycomore.

Sebastian this is very masculine even though i love the smell it wears better on my husband. He loves vetiver.

Not with Encre Noir at 1/10 the price.

Too masculine for me. If there were more florals mixed in i would like it maybe. But I know many fans of Sycomore. The price on that bottles is good though, get it.
