Every star in the sport of basketball is going to get this same treatment. The issue we are having right now with her is that its the first time its happened with a female player in the WNBA and fans don't know how to approach it. The other players in the league don't know how to approach it. The media doesn't know how to approach it. Lets also understand that when a new star is born, new fans are born and many of those fans have no idea of what they are looking at, the history of the thing they've suddendly become fans of or the history of how its covered or the historical markers of greatness. This happens no matter the sport, athlete or league. This is not new.

Every time I ever criticized Skip for the many ways he disrespected his co host Shannon, d riders in the comments always told me it wasn’t a big deal and I’m wrong. The situation inevitably imploded. Some people allow themselves to be disrespected and had a skewed perception of it.

She looks bad, as would any other superstar if similarly situated with the league's last place team mates. Turnovers would not be nearly what they are because good team mates fight to get to passes, good team mates don't stand around and let their point guard get trapped by two or three defenders. Do you ever wonder why LeBron has fought to get a good supporting cast or Michael Jordan played alongside future Hall of Famers and all stars, or why Bird had Mchale, Parrish, Ainge, Ford, Dennis Johnson, etc., or Magic had Jabbar et al.? It os because basketball is a team sport and one superstar can't be a star by him or herslf. Even when at Indiana State, Larry Bird hasd a team mate with a 46 inch vertical who was making a difference. Hell, sometimes Caitlin may as well be playing one-on-team against her opposition.
