In this video we will analyse British America Tobacco (BTI/BATS) stock using our 4 valuations methods to get to our intrinsic value. We will then apply a margin of safety to get to our acceptable buy price.

Look at the growth rate of BATS next gen products. vuse (vape) growing at around 20 prosent y/y last 5 years. Here in Norway nobody smokes. But 1/5 still uses nicotine. Bats oral pouches is in the top 2 spot here in Norway.

@@DividendTalksI bought it the day before they presented results. The company is still profitable and P/E and dividends are much better than Phillips Morris. It's just punished because is a tobacco company

@@PabloOlivera-my7wm Good thing this is a dividend investment and the market sentiments don't play a role (except for discounting our dividend printing machine further).

@@fantasy9917you have a point there. I opened another position on it today. I prefer to buy this than overvalued US companies that are paying 2-3% dividend (without discounting withholding tax)
Have 1205 shares. I am a buyer under $30/share.

Does anyone know if I buy the ADR (ticker: BTI) will they apply the UK dividend tax, which is 0%, or the US, which is 15%?

Hey, I have done both... Investing from LATAM. BTI is a robbery they take 30% off dividends (Although it's 15% for some countries).... BATS.L is great it's 0% tax witholding to some extent... Then it's like 8% but I'm below that threshold
So when the net income is in brackets that means loss right?

That is correct, in brackets is a net loss.
It seams like a great dividend company for those living in UK, as there is 0% dividend tax in ISA's.

Hi, I believe so yes.
Of course it is ;) in two years they gonna be much higher because of inclusion in NOBL type of ETFs.

I was quite curious if being included in ETF would affect stock price and i found the below from BlackRock: Questions sometimes arise about whether ETFs influence the prices of the stocks they hold. In short, the majority of ETF activity doesn’t affect the market prices of underlying stocks. This is because generally most of the ETF activity takes place on-exchange between buyers and sellers of ETF shares, which means that, most of the time, shares of underlying stocks do not need to be bought or sold to adjust for changes in investor demand.

Heya, could you go a little more in depth with your comment? Funds like NOBL don’t hold Altria, so it’s safe to assume they wouldn’t hold BTI either. As far as other Aristocrat type of ETF’s- they’re already part of funds like UKDV so I don’t really see much upside? Thanks in advance

Just think it may head lower with the not much hope for interest rates to go lower. Most likely staying high for longer.
