60% of bones composition is apatite, a common mineral. So bone bending should be very similar to metal bending - finding the 'earth' element inside the bones and bend it to your will.

@@cupidok2768 No, that wouldn't work. It'd be too fine of control for them to reflect or refract the light. This method also wouldn't allow for enough light to be usable if only by controlling moisture. It also wouldn't really do much even if it did work. Honestly, it'd be cooler (but this won't happen) if Light were made a newly discovered Primary Element. Then add Darkness/Shadow as its opposite Element.

I can't Agree to say that it's graphic than Bloodbending Since Minerals in bones aren't obvious as waters. Blood contains 70% of Waters and the rest is the foods intakes with present Minerals which are lesser to Water intakes.

If you watch the Amazon TV show Gen V, the main character can essentially blood bend, and she can basically explode people with their own blood. Really makes you think how much more graphic Avatar can be if it was rated R.

In the Kyoshi novels, we get Lao Ge, who passes himself off as a harmless, senile old drunkard, but is actually a highly-skilled assassin that is implied to be immortal. He says that he's figured out how to keep his body from falling apart on the smallest level, meaning he keeps his organs and tissues from decaying or breaking down. This would include bones as well, so there IS the possibility of manipulating bone structure. If we had an actual Bone-bender, they probably wouldn't use it like Kimimaro does, flinging the bones from their fingertips or pulling out their spines as whips or their humerus as a sword as this would deplete their bones and thus compromise their own body functions. Instead, they'd harden their bones into gauntlets for striking and armor for defense; imagine punching them in the gut only to meet solid bone, or them protruding their metacarpals into bone knuckles when punching, or increasing the density of their skulls right before a head-butt. They'd be a nightmare in close-up combat, with chi-blockers being particularly at risk given they need to get up-close and personal. Imagine Ty Lee trying to chi-block Kimimaro only to have a bony spike skewer her hand or foot.

The main reason we'll never get it either way is because it would be incredibly brutal by the standards of Avatar. Imagine someone suspended in the air having their arms and legs snapped like twigs. Yeah.

probably, there were thousands of avatars, and sometimes the world didnt need (or didnt receive anyways) their global help, Szeto lived his entire life on the Fire Nation without minding to help the rest of the world, maybe those avatars were born and lived their lifes regionally, without being discovered and without guidance from others or Raava, without knowing about their duty

If you lived in a graveyard making use of bones like how the foggy swamp tribe used seaweed yeah I think it works

No, that really wouldn't work. Those bones would break too easily and not be functional. Best case scenario is scaring someone. But, Bonebending almost certainly can't work.

Imagine for Fire benders there was Thermal bending, where they can manipulate a person’s body temperature; raising it high to the point of causing hear stroke or even spontaneous combustion or lowering it to the point of hypothermia.

I have a proposal for how bonebending can work in the avatar universe, a bonebender can use bonebending to raise skeletons from Graves, the way this works is it would mostly be skeletons of warriors who use weapons such as swords staffs bows and arrows spears and axes, basically a puppet army of dead warriors to fight against their enemies.

Water and Earth twins, that both body bend.

Sry for the long Text, I made a quick research 😅. Bone Bending sounds first off all very insane but, its just a waste of time and very risky for earth benders. You could basicly strengthen your own Bones or weaken the Bones of others, then thats that. If you just search up what Bones truly are, Bones are just a mix of 5 minerals. Then Protein is needed to hold the bones together with Calcium, so Earth Benders couldnt Protein bend because protein is not a mineral. In conclusion it is a very dangerous and not enough paying off sub bending Art, where people could us this bone bending to strenghen there or others Bones a bit, not even worth the effort and the only dangerous think is, they could only Break your Bones from the inside. Its sounds op but remember they need to engange to hand to hand combat or in a scenario where you get tortured, the horrible thing here is, they could shatter your bones and push them out of your body but, thats that. A Giant Rock or a fast hitting metal pipe would do that too and you dont need to learn such a sub art of bending, only blood bend is op as fuck, because its ranged and its versitile in every way possible.

No, it is almost certainly not possible. Especially with any similarity to Kimimaro. Much like Bloodbending, (if Bonebending were possible) it'd need something to boost the Benders abilities just to even use it. But, Earthbenders don't really have an equivalent to the Full Moon. It'd be pointless (outside of a scare tactic) to bend skeletons. Unlike with magic; bending wouldn't allow for them to be structurally stable. More so with older bones.

I think water benders could theoritically bone bend? Celebro spinal fluid and synovial fluid in joints and stuff, exist, but i'm not on that anatomy and physiology level. There are phlegms, mucus membranes, other pleural "liquids" thingies in the body besides blood and water. Like Mucus but not JUST "buggers". Assuming its not dried or dehydrated bones already ridden of moisture of the body? The definition of water bending is very general, and not just H20...? If Earth benders could bend human ashes, then maybe bone also..?

@@acewyrick6920 You'd kill any volunteer just testing it. Which I doubt there'd be many willing subjects. You'd have to prove you can control Lightning first. Then, control it on an impossibly small scale. And have knowledge of how signals are sent through the nerves. Among other unseen issues.
